Got a question.... I have competition plus shifter I bought new a couple of years ago...I have the trans out right now, don't have any issues with the shifter, but should I lube it while out & if so, with what? Thanks
I just used trailer axle grease on mine. If yours is completely dry I would think some lubricant would help the springplates and levers from binding up
If the shifter is not working while off the transmission, then yes it needs taken apart. If the shift levers work when disconnected from the forks on the transmission, but dosent work when bolted up then its probably in the transmission itself, Hope this helps

hi there i have an old school 4 speed Hurst shifter i mount it to my borgwarner st10 but cant get to reverse ? is there an internal damage

You didn’t show putting in the setup pin in the neutral state. It would be good to show that for newbie’s.
