This is one their masterpieces of arrangement. On the surface it seems simple, but the transitions, the "call and response" phrasing, the percussion (there are so many subtleties), the tight harmonies.... ad infinitum! Thank you for featuring this one, and thanks to Laurie for requesting it.
This has jumped right to the top of my Home Free favorites. Just an Amazing arrangement for those fabulous voices. These 5 guys are just so talented and their voices just mesh so well !!!! We are so lucky to have them in our lives. I want more songs just l;ike this one !!!
Rob is so underrated in the group. Can't wait to see them live for the second time next month. They are astonishingly good live and Tim's got a great interaction with the crowd.
Thanks for your reaction. The harmonies here are delicious. Please consider doing their version of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" It is a very complex arrangement done by Adam Rupp and it is a feast for the ears as there is a lot going on in the background. One of my favorite songs of their's.
Nick, they make awesome arramgments come to LIFE when they sing them. Nick, please please watch the one they dropped on Friday, "I want crazy"....it's so damn good.
I love Adam's 5th harmony part in the breakdown and on that last chord. And the solo passes back and forth between Austin and Rob so effortlessly! Tim Foust, Austin Brown, and Adam Chance all have solo channels on TH-cam with some really great content. Austin's "Releases" tab has audio only versions of several original songs he has released in the last several months. In addition, Chris Rupp (who was replaced by Chance) also has a solo channel with some really great content including some Behind the Scenes commentary on some of the songs Home Free did while he was with the group and a 5- or 6-part video series on The History of Home Free which covers the first 16 years of the group's existence.
These guys are so awesome! I love the 5-part harmonies they do when Adam Rupp sings too. I am sure Ben E. King would be so very proud! Love your reaction!
Love this great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.
I love this. It’s so good. Loved the bell tones, loved the slowed down part near the end. Austin killed it. Loved Tim’s lows at the end. Good one Nick!😍😄
One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. (I'm from 1963) First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's soft soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The great bass and beautiful harmony are the finishing touch.
You are going to really love their Christmas music, their covers and originals are all great. There is even one where Chris has them join him so all 6 of them on What Child is This. There is a behind the scenes for that song that is really great as well. Happy Holidays
So much going on in the background. I love when we get to hear Adam R's sweet high voice. The harmonies are perfection. Thanks for the Home Free reactions
I love so much how Austin and Rob tag teamed this one, it was so smooth and amazing how they did it and the background vocals and Adam’s beatboxing just made it all perfect! 👏👏 They are so amazing in everything they do! ❤❤ Glad this was recommended to you and I enjoy your reactions! Thanks Nick!👍👍 Happy Thanksgiving to you also!! 🦃
The guys vote on who leads in each song they do. The dedication to craft and lack of ego between the guys are more of the reasons we love them and the reason their music is so fantastic. Thank you for a beautiful reaction, am enjoying your channel immensely.
I don't think it's as formal as that. Quite often it's obvious who should lead, particularly in originals (could anyone else have led on Save the World?), other times anyone who wants to do it records it and they discuss the recordings. You can see the lack of ego that you mention in Blue Ain't Your Color - It had been agreed that Austin should lead, he'd recorded the part, but then felt that the song needed a warmer, kinder version than he could do and it went to Rob.
This is great!! Listen to Rob and Austin singing opera… Nessun dorma! Home free never stop surprising us with their amazing talents! Keep reacting to home free… They have many many more uplifting songs!!!
I love how easily Adam goes from making the beats and harmonizes with the guys. The ease at which Austin and Rob switch places at taking the lead. It’s so seamless! They all are so versatile! Beautiful song. Thanks for the great reaction!
It is always amazing and so satisfying when the guys of Home Free put their touch on any song of any genre. That being said, my favorite is Rob. Yes, we all know what Austin and Tim and both Adams can do and they seem to do it so effortlessly. But there is something about Rob's tone. It's so warm; so full of soul. One of the songs that Rob takes the lead in is "Catch Me If You Can" and it is fantastic. Thank you for your reaction and for sharing your Home Free journey with us!
I saw them in Manchester, England a couple of months ago in a pretty small venue. They were brilliant and had a great rapport with the audience too. Great vocals and very funny. A fantastic evening. Love from Yorkshire, England ❤️ 🇬🇧
I find myself looking at their location, this time a dome shaped metal building, sometimes a big old barn and different sizes of churches and often just outdoors,
You really need to listen to their cover of John Denver's "Country Roads". And, their version of Do You Hear What I Hear", it will absolutely blow your mind. 😘
Happy Thanksgiving to you too😃. Love this version of theirs! Tim's rich! Bass notes are something else. They along with Adams smooth rhythm just carry all those others dreamy voices along down that warm moonlit river I visualize them on
another great reaction. You should think about doing a reaction to their appearance on Sing off (Part 1-5) When I hear Austin's falsetto, it remind me of something one of the judges said to him. He was holding back on singing the high notes, and she told him to push through for it. That was like 5+ years ago, how far he has come. ^.^

Totally in awe of the smooth transitions of leads between Rob and Austin. Just wow.
I am such a sucker for Home Free's bell tones 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔 And I love whenever Adam becomes the 5th vocalist!
Just gorgeous❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

I love whatever Home Free does. And I love your reactions to them. 🇬🇧
Nobody better than HF!! Stunning!!!!!

I just love the camera angles in this video. It shows them as a group doing their great harmonies together. Thanks for the reaction.
I've always loved Ben E. King's iconic song and I think Home Free does it justice. Thanks for requesting it Laurie!

Loved seeing Adam go from beat boxing to vocals and then flawlessly slide back into beat boxing
Everything they touch turns to liquid gold.
Perfect description. Thank you.

I think this is one of their best. Love the bell tones. Luscious harmonies. Perfect percussion. Two amazing leads. Fabulous.
Their vocal control, crazy ranges, fantastic voices makes them the best out there.

It's amazing how Rob and Austin can do this, given that their voices are so very different.

Love when Adam sings he has such a honey sweet tenor solo in their version of "How great thou art".

Thank you for your reactions, love your positivity, and yes as always our guys are amazing ❤
So far this is my favorite of their newly released. I can't hear this one enough.
The percussion really stands out in this one for me, so many sounds, there are water sounds, chimes and so much more
These boys just keep getting better and better. Love how they did this song. Love the video as well.❤️❤️❤️
They keep upping their game. Great reaction
So few people mention Adam Rupp in the song but he is killing it with the vocal percussion
Happy Thanksgiving Nick.
I find myself looking at their location, this time a dome shaped metal building, sometimes a big old barn and different sizes of churches and often just outdoors,
Have seen these guys live, they sound amazing even live.
"Set a mood". Perfect comment.
Still, nostalgia is tough to overcome.
