Leave it to Home Free to insert an "a cappella" section in an already a cappella song. So clever. Loved everything about this. They absolutely nailed this and the video is so nostalgic. Perfect except that I wanted it to be longer. I liked seeing you enjoy this and loved your reaction.
What a great remake of Roy Orbison's classic song. I remember the cover Home Free did on the "Sing Off". This one is even more fun. Love the 50's-60's pompadour hairstyles & great outfits. Great song & video. The guys really rocked this! They are making a 10 year anniversary album of all the songs they did on the "Sing Off" that they won in 2013. So far they have released ("Oh, Pretty Woman", Life Is A Highway", "Stand By Me", "Cruise").
Home Free makes me remember the 50s in a good way! The boys with their Elvis hair and white buck shoes; the doo wap bands at the proms; the big-frame glasses (Chance is rocking Roy Orbison), and the low-res TV (but in B/W only). Thanks for sharing this one with your infectious smile and happy comments.
@@Parkjkookie1831 True, but the Elvis hair and prom music is straight from the 50s. That's what Home Free is rocking here. My brother, who graduated from HiSch in 1956, had that very style. Roy Orbison was older than my brother. So, I am remembering the my 50s, rather than the release date of that one song.
This is great. What a special upbeat cheerful performance of this song. Of course with some Home Free humor in it. Yes, this really makes my day! And I admit, the boys really look amazing!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Could you please react to Home Free's "Save The World" It is such an amazing song, Austin wrote it for his now wife. Austin's vocals in this will blow your mind. 😊
It's the only song in their catalog that you don't see the instruments. The storyline was not conducive to showing instruments. (Heck, only Austin is in the video, another rarity of not having all 5 in the video.)
@@brendasorenson6186 if memory recalls, the only instrument I hear ('cause we know Adam Rupp is doing the percussion, etc.) is a few opening chords on a piano/keyboard - but it suits the song, so I never mind if/when a rare actual instrument is used. 🙂 It's a great song, too often overlooked by reactors.
@rllangevin3841 It fits the song and the video. I think Adam is actually playing synth drums (or whatever it's called!). I just remembered that Don't Laugh At Me doesn't show instruments. HF is "allowed" to occasionally mix things up. 😊
The unplugging of the set was to simulate the breakdown they did where Austin stepped toward Jewel and sang that part to her on the sing-off! Then they stepped up the beat again just like when it was plugged back in! This was very cool how thy represented that in this performance! Gotta love Adam’s great beat boxing, Tim’s awesome performance in this and, of course, Rob’s growl!! I sooooo love these costumes it actually gives me Sha Na Na vibes, 😂 loved that show!😂. Glad you enjoyed it too, looking forward to more Home Free!🏡🍟
Thank you Nick, I always love your reactions! This is so awesome! The hair, suits, vocals and Adam doing his thing! They all seem to just be getting better and better although I don’t know how that’s possible! Just love these boys! ❤
The songs being released right now are from Home Free's latest album As Seen on TV, celebrating 10 years since the band won the TV a capella competition, the Sing Off. These are the songs they sang but in new arrangements, plus a few bonus tracks. They were pretty awesome back then but have really matured since then with a richer, fuller sound, and even more bizarre noises from Adam. I'd like to echo the request in a comment below for your reaction to Save the World, an Austin original with a really impressive and intriguing MV.. People got so excited about the Stargazer Trilogy from the same album (So Long Dixie) that they forgot about Save the World, a beautiful and unusual love song.
Great reaction, Nick! Isn't it amazing that #HomeFree can even upgrade their own renditions?! I'm really enjoying the trip down memory lane, as I first fell in love with their music during The Sing Off in 2013 and these 10th anniversary editions/upgrades are fantastic! Keep the Home Free music coming; they never disappoint!
Homefree Dropped two videos that you might want to check out stand by me and cruise. Also the videos they have dropped from their new album coming on the 17th of November.
I've always loved the late Roy Orbison's music & HF does justice to his 1964 original. The suits and hair styles (pompadours) befit the period of the song. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing are, of course, terrific. Home Free are the experts at inserting an acapella break in an acapella song!
I fell in love with these guys on the Sing Off. and now they are singing the songs again but all of the song and a video too! I have preordered the album already!
This was a Roy Orbison song released in 1964, a big hit for him. That is where the hair styles and jackets come in. They are remaking the songs that they did for the Sing Off TV show, which they won. They are releasing a album with the songs, a great idea !!!!
Love this! The hair was crazy! It’s called a pompadour. Chance won the hair for me…hahaha! The boys love to have fun while the music sounds great. Good one Nick!🥰😍
If you like 50s/60s music, check out something from Home Free’s 2009 album Kickin’ It Old School. My favorites from that album are Under the Boardwalk, Blue Moon, and King of the Road. King of the Road has a wonderful bass lead by Elliot Robinson.
Great reaction, Nick! I enjoyed watching you rocking out with the video. If you would look up the songs from The Sing-Off, you would see how much fuller their sound is now. I have enjoyed watching these guys “grow up”!
I love all the hair products that are wearing and verbal tuxedos from a long long ago! Be sure to watch their version when they were on the Sing Off! They had to perform a theme song that everyone knew from the movie this one of course was from pretty woman with Julia Roberts Richard Gere and Emilio Estevez! I hope you watch that version also they’ve changed a lot since 2013!! Great reaction
I see you have Life is a Highway by Home Free scheduled for tomorrow... cool. One of my favorite Home Free covers is American Pie. It includes the original artist, Don Mclean. Also, getting into Holidays, Home Free has a lot of Christmas videos like "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer."
@@nickforell1 LOL, I guess I should up my Patreon membership if I am going to keep making requests. How does one sponsor a video? Enjoyed your Life is a Highway reaction btw.
Maybe “Mayday” soon?

Chance’s hair - wow! Roy Orbison would be proud of them! Thanks Nick
I just love it when Home Free has an a cappella breakdown in the middle of their a cappella performance. Thanks Nick. 😆🍟

Just so much fun. Thank you so much.
Unchained Melody! A must next.
He's already done that one - it was his introduction to Home Free! It's not on the playlist, but on the channel
Austin striking the Elvis pose especially near the end was a real kick!
I know how good the Home Free guys are, yet I watch this and STILL have to remind myself their performance is acapella❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

Whenever I need a smile……. It’s Home Free baby!!! ❤❤❤
You need to check out their cover of "Zootopia"; John Denver's, "Country Roads"; "My Country Tis of Thee"; and, "Do You Hear What I Hear".
Your next stop should be "Stand By Me" which they released right after this one you heard today.

Metal might be the death of Adam. That’s a LOT of drumming for a beatboxer.
Hahaha great point!
Next you should check out the Stargazer Trilogy - three songs all written by Austin that tell a story. It's amazing.
They did their hair like Roy Orbinson the originator of this song.
Take a look of Homefree "Mayday" and how great thou art
