  • Which snake is more dangerous the Copperhead or the Cottonmouth? We went out into coastal Texas in a tropical storm and found a bunch of cool snakes, frogs, lizards, and alligators. This area in Texas is insane! There is so much life and we didn't even stay long. We will have to make a trip back to Texas soon to look for Texas Indigos or Grey Banded Kingsnakes!

Copper Heads really do blend in well with their surroundings . They are more prone to bite you,
than a Cotton Mouth, but CH's occasionally have a Dry Bite. A Cotton Mouth usually gives a raised
head warning. Wear boots in tall grass , and watch the ground in front of you. Nice video, Thanks .

You're looking at snakes right in my area! I'd say the copperhead is more dangerous, that's the one you're much more likely to get bitten by around here. They're unpredictable, not very nice and have been known to just jump out and bite you from several feet away for no other reason than you being there. Cottonmouths on the other hand are fairly docile. You have to harass them to get a strike, and it's almost always a dry bite anyway especially from older snakes. We used to catch them in the creeks all summer

Yeah, from my experience copperheads are more dangerous. There camouflage is 100x better too so hard to see sometimes!

Moccasins have cyto where as Copperheads only have hemo. Copperheads tend to be a lot more painful if you’re envenomated where as a Moccasin is more likely to result in a finger or toe amputation. There really is no comparison between the two because getting bit and envenomated by any pit viper is not going to feel good period

Yeah I agree, it’s best just to not get bitten by any venomous snake

I'm stopping at 2:30 amd time to go find another video. This video was some of the worst audio on a video that's for teaching others.

Don’t blame you! Audio was definitely rough. That’s why the last part I do a voice over! Also bought a mic for future videos

I know, just bought a mic to fix this! The wind and swarms of cicadas really drowned out the sound sadly
