This is the first video of the Redline metro rail since commercial operations began, that I'd see a very high percentage of passengers in the train. Gradually its getting more awareness. I dont want to believe that the low turnout is due to high fare only, becos even whilst the train ride was totally free for 3 months, there was very low turnout as well. Well done Purity
Thank you. Yes it's getting the awareness. I think the free ride had a low turnout due to awareness also, and the fact that you couldn't just walk into the station to take a ride, you had to apply online, then wait to be picked.
It's filled up, yes, but the stations are practically empty. So more passengers are necessary so there'll be a need for more trains or coaches, or schedules.
@@muritalaakande69engine gearing these engines don't like low speed stopping and starting if reduces efficiency, also the number of doors in MK3 makes metro style use impractical. Look at what these HST were originally designed and built for.
Oh no. The reason you tap out is so that they can charge you accordingly depending on the station you alighted. For instance, if you're going from Agege to ikeja which is just a stop away, you should not pay the same fare with someone that's going all the way to Oyingbo.
The passage/walk way is fucking too narrow, imagine what would happen in the case of emergency, doors are small opening too. I prefer the blue line widely open door.
These trains weren't designed for mass transit and it shows, they were repurposed. I'm hearing there will be actual mass transit trains brought in later.
Yes it is, but like having more passengers at the station like the blue line, which would necessitate having more coaches or trains, or time schedules.
A penalty fee should be imposed on anyone going onto the rail tracks, it is disappointing to see an official on the rail track, not sure what example he is setting
I did not spot a passenger lift service at the ikeja station, with its close proximity to the Airport and the likelyhood of commuters coming on board with multiple travel baggages, the steps and stairs becomes impracticable.

With more patronage there would be more and faster departure times which would make the service even better
@DAMINATION_1 You get it. Thanks for stopping by.
The low turnout is due mainly to the unfavourable schedules. The red line sharing the same tracks with NRC is a bad idea in my opinion.
@@rotimikayode1072 There is notting wrong about line sharing. its done all over the world .
Things have definitely improved. It can only get better.
Definitely. It gets better from here.

It's picking up, hopefully there are more schedules for later in the day.
That would be so wonderful. So one can use it anytime one wishes.

Which turned out again when the train itself is filled up based on the video?
It's filled up, yes, but the stations are practically empty. So more passengers are necessary so there'll be a need for more trains or coaches, or schedules.
With that exorbitant fare? @@swing740

Lagos should provide a normal metro train similar to the blue line or Abuja metro. This current redline train is for an intercity long journey travel.
Let's hope they do that. Thanks for watching.
we need other states to start something similar too, so the economy will pick up.More jobs will be created

Q1/Q2 2025 according to the governor.

Let have a normal metro train like the blue line train. This is a intercity long journey train converted to metro usage.
