I know this was from years ago, but in case anyone sees this- How I recommend someone clean their chacos and Teva sandals, wear them into the shower. I do that every time I camp, wear them into the camp shower, hostel shower… or your shower at home after a long dirty hike. Then your body wash gets soaked into the straps. Then take them off and let the water hit the footbed’s while you finish your shower. -an REI employee
I've had Chaco sandals for years. They served me well in Sri Lanka whether it was hot and sweaty hiking, exploring, or splashing in the water but I found the straps chafed a lot the second week. I have no interest in getting rid of them as they're still in great condition. Any tips on how to reduce the chafing?
This video came up in my feed....I watched this last year before my trip. Very helpful and yes, we only used a small carry on bag each for a 4 week trip. Thank you !
If you’re not as small as a thai, bring underwear. I don’t have a very fat a.. but i had to search for a while until i found ones big enough. Put a letter on your carry on that says something like medicine inside ( prescription available) they love it that you come prepared and usually don’t stop you from taking a kilo more than usual
Your videos is very helpful. Thanks for more practical video content. As I am also a content creator and I am first travelling at Thailand. I need to know if airport check-in allows 249gm drone camera.
Of course! We never had any issues with bringing our drone but things have changed a lot in the last couple of years and we haven’t flown with a drone since then. Have a great trip!😁👍🏽
Learned that you guys are (were?) in India. Also glad that you started off with Kolkata (my home town), a city often skipped by tourists. No doubt its chaotic but I am sure you did find order in the chaos and discovered its hidden gems. Not sure if you plan to visit Mumbai. I currently reside in Mumbai and would love to catch up with you guys in case you are around and share with you a tip or two.
We got the one with a detachable day back that is 55liters. The trick is using travel cubes, it makes the bag close up thin and keeps it looking like a carry on 👍🏽
I really great alternative to liquid perfume especially when travelling carry on is solid perfume... lush is a great brand and have amazing smells. Also what models are you Teva's? Ive been looking into purchasing the 'Original Universal' Have you tried those? if so what do you think?
Thank you for the info Jaydn! 😁 So the specific ones I have are in this link www.chaseforadventure.com/minimalist-travel-gear/ I haven’t tried he ‘Original Universal’ sorry friend 😔
We wear the heaviest cloths for the travel day and are very intentional about the weight of the cloths we pack for the trip. In reality, we would usually never make the weight limit but as long as the bag was the correct size and didn’t look heavy to the person at the counter, they never made us weight them. Out of maybe 100 flights, we were made to check our bag twice and that was only in Japan and China 😁👍🏽
man ya'll pack light. Are you mainly staying in beach areas? Do you eat out in the evenings in nice places? I'm really having trouble narrowing it down to that little bit of clothing for all the traveling.
When this video was filmed, we were backpackers so no super nice places, however, we did care one nice outfit just in case we wanted to really dress up. But unless you’re planning a night out in Sukhumvit in Bangkok, the rest of Thailand is very casual dress code, even at nicer places.
No specifically for men but in all honestly, I just subbed out Annette’s female specific items with male ones like a beard trimmer and stuff like that. I hope this helps 🙏🏽
Hi dear Thanks for your information but we've been told we are not Allowed to pack power bank to Thailand Bangkok ... ?? And perfume nether ?? What is the Answer to this question, kind regards
We haven’t had any issues as long as the power bank and perfume follow the regulations set by the airline. But both are easily accessible to buy here 😁🙏🏽
Being barefoot is supposed to be good for your well-being also. The caveats are that the ground should not be contaminated with feces and not infested with larvae worms and fecal bacteria.
Yes, as long as you pack it right. The 55l is the largest though. And when you choose small, medium or large it makes a difference. I got an L and Annette got a M and mine pushed the limit lol
Yes, bottles no bigger than 100ml/ 3oz and they all must technically fit inside a quart sized ziplock bag, but I have found that they’ve become more lenient regarding where the liquids are kept. Just be prepared to pull them out if they ask at security.
Hi! You had mentioned that Daniel had maybe got Maleria or something other while in Thailand. I am super scares of the Maleria vaccine or pill. Is it safe to travel without it?
Hello! Absolutely! We recommend that everyone does their own research but our approach is that the cure is the same as the prevention. So if we get it, that’s when we’d take the pills. But I actually got dengue and that was miserable!
@@CCCC-tq8yo Yes, I did just fine. I brought easy to dry pants that can be washed and dried overnight. Worked out great. My backpack was bulging only because of gifts that I brought for people.
You can! It's just harder and if the water is deep that day you might get your stuff wet. I recommend leaving from the Ao Namao Pier if you're traveling with lots of stuff.
I’m sorry if this comment missed the start of your trip but I would only pack maybe a few days worth of cloths and go shopping while here! The malls and clothing selection is incredible if you are 6 foot 1 and under 😁👍🏽
Thank you! This is super helpful info. I’ve always felt dreadful using plastic bottles in SE Asia. The hotels had glass refills but I could never carry enough for the whole day out.
Great question! Yes, but in Thailand I have never had my carry on luggage weighed. Literally never. Over 40 flights in and out of here, both domestic and international. But past performance doesn’t guarantee future results 🙈
Sorry! The packing list, website and email list that this was hosted on hasn't been active in a few years. :( The points in the video are still applicable today, though, and we actually live here full-time now.
Chase for Adventure Yh she was telling us about how one year you came to the school and all the students in my class really wanted to know if you could come again this year
Ah I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! I never saw the reply🤦🏽♀️I would love to come back and see all of you guys in Mrs. Miranda's class!
Your recommendations are just over the top. This is entirely too much stuff. I don't see how you can get it all in the backpack or a suitcase. If you did get it all in there it would probably be overweight and you get charged more. With all the stuff you recommend I don't see how you have any room for clothes. And how many people will be able to help you carry your luggage all over the country. I guess you could put it all on rollers and make it a wagon train. Good luck.
I actually disagree John. We have been traveling carry on only for 3 years and all of this forts into a single 55 liter back pack. On top of that we have widdled our list of items down to exactly what we need and not an item more. But if this is still too much for you...my friend you are a more seasoned carry on only expert than we are. Thank you so much for sharing and commenting. I never would have though that what we carry would be too much for some people. Anyways, thanks for joining the adventures! 😁🙏🏽
@@ChaseforAdventure I looked at your list on your website. It is very comprehensive and inclusive. It is a huge number of items. There is no way all of that stuff will fit into a carry-on that fits in the airport frame. You might be able to squeeze it all into a larger bag that you take on the plane as a carry on. But if you fly through Taiwan or Dubai, they will check your carry-on size and weight and possibly make you check your bag. Which means that all your valuables are subject to be going through by the airport employees in a foreign country. You must have, although I haven't counted over 100 items on your list. No way does all of that stuff get into one frame sized carry on bag. If you're simply going on vacation and don't intend to be a digital nomad then you don't need very many of those things. Part of going on vacation is to be able to buy things that are in the country and experience actual life overseas. I think that's where your video misses the point. Good luck in your travels.

the plugs are actually dual flat and round.. the flat plugs fit just fine every hotel i have been too.
Now, the plugs are definitely the same. it’s just the voltage is different and we’ve had a couple issues with a couple of electronics because of it
Great List! Lots of good info! Great presentation! Love the way you talk :)

silicon refillable tubes for carrying liquids or gels

Do you wear contact lenses while in water?
Would I be able to bring a harddrive from my pc and a laptop in my carry on bag
