    Great video. I use both and love them. I sincerely hope nothing replaces your sunscreen. Take it from this 52 year old who didn't wear sunscreen for almost 50 years. One side of my face was so saggy from sitting sideways at a window at work every day. Don't ever forget your sunscreen. If you're not wearing that then you may throw all the rest of your skincare in the bin.

Then I studied better the question and found out information that peptides that can make difference, that really can do smth with your skin can’t cost 8€. If the product contains peptides it doesn’t mean that these peptides penetrate where they must penetrate. The sistem of ingredient delivery is much more important in the case of peptides. I mulled over ordering this for a month. I read a lot of lack lustre reviews and mixed thoughts, BUT let me tell you, it really is botox in a bottle. Within ten minutes I couldn't make some expression and laugh lines wouldn't form around my eyes. I could really feel its affects, the area I applied with didn't feel numb but I could feel that the muscle was constricted. The affects lasted for a few hours but the more I used it the more longevity the product had. Anyone who is considering botox, please purchase this first, its safer and cheaper.

      Your review is a little suspicious. Botox (which is stronger) done properly doesn't make you feel like this. @@mcovelloful it’s not really suspicious, why don’t you try the product for yourself. I also have thin skin which means it may be more effective for me than others. The peptide works by targeting the same snap protein 25 that Botox does but rather through adsorption than injection. It’s formulation with a high water content makes it’s more digestible for the skin therefore may increase the time relevant rate of effectiveness. It’s also cumulative permeation which means it works via entering through the pores etc. do some research and read some studies it’s very interesting.

But realistically the only neurotoxin in a bottle that will absolutely work has a syringe sticking out of it. When I was 27 (the age of the speaker) my skin was flawless. Best advice for the long haul:
    Sunscreen. Careful selection of ingredients. When you start to see wrinkles that bother you (and you will) visit a well reputed professional. And then put on more sunscreen. It’s worth it.

    I'm no dermatologist or pharmacist... but... surely this cannot in any way be freezing any muscle groups by 'any' degree. It cannot penetrate deep enough into the skin in order to have that effect. I was under the impression that if a medication starts to transfer beyond the skin surface then it is classed as a drug and has to be prescribed. I'm assuming that in reality it is plumping up the surface of the skin to provide a temporary minute effect, for as long as it is used. As usual, the manufacturer's responses are very careful with their choice of words and data. This is the problem with this endless parade of elixirs that promise the world. The marketing is actually quite clever; "why pay hundreds for Botox when you can have an effect for $10!" At $10 its obviously worth a punt... you use it... convince yourself of a minuscule change... then realise that it doesn't 'really' work. Meanwhile, those $10 all start adding up. The reality is much more simple. Stay out of the sun and start using full sunblock as young as possible. Job done.

    Acetyl-hexapeptide-8 is in a lot of my products, but when I added that TO Argireline serum I still noticed a HUGE improvement that I didn't get from other serums. I do mix it with Matrixyl, but I strongly prefer Timeless's Matrixyls to TO... they're more hydrating for me, and the texture is much silkier.

    I think a lot of aging is just genetics. 🤷‍♀️ And this is coming from someone who does use skincare products and does do some small cosmetic stuff as well! (I started young but didn’t really need it- just wanted to prevent stuff). I have a feeling some people just look older than others. Yes; perhaps smoking a lot can age you or having darker skin can make you look younger. But ultimately I think it’s a generic thing (removing ethnicity from the equation of course) in terms of will one person look younger than someone else. I even remember when I was a child in school. Some kids just looked older even though we were all the same age.

    • @ophilianecr
      @ophilianecr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Genetics have sooo much to do with using anti aging products, not just how you look. If you have very pale, sensitive skin, you may not be able to use retinoids, peel off masks, anything fragranced, or even certain pharmacy sunscreens and moisturizer. Others have strong skin that can take a chemical peel with ease!
      Ive been a smoker for 18years (on and off), I use good skincare, use spf mekeup, I use anto wrinkle creams around my mouth (prevent smoking lines) i don't let myself tan at all because most sunscreens smell so gross I do t use them. AND I've been in drug recovery for 5years!!! I have been told I look like I'm in my early 20s even though I'm 37,😌 There's no way my estee lauder and clinique skincare took care of all the damage!! But for sure, other smokers or recovering addicts I've seen look BAD! 😨
      Oh, and having kids also ages you. Women my age who are moms look older than I do, and I used to do hard drugs! 🤣😅

      Genes can be modified by your emotional state, subconscious mind. Check Joe Dispenza's theories or Bruce lipton. Not saying you can fully stop aging but what you believe about aging and how your live your life does make a big influence om you physically.

    I'm curious what your routine is every day? Do you cleanse, serum, moisturize? I've recently upped my skin care regime and it's a bit overwhelming when to use what and which serums work well together or not. I don't want to spend too long on too many products because I think simpler is better, but I also understand that it's a little more complex than the old days of cleanse, tone, moisturize 😵‍💫 (I'm not 20 anymore either 🥲)

    • @carpediemearth
      @carpediemearth 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skin care isn't complicated. You should cleanse, treat (whatever skin concerns you treat) and moisturize. Make sure your products have ingredients your skin needs, like humectants, antioxidants, anti inflammatories, and DOESN'T have harmful ingredients like drying alcohol, fragrances and essential oils. That's it. Anything else is just extra. Your skin's health will primarily depend on a healthy balanced diet, like eating your fruits, vegetables, proteins, healthy fats, Omega-3, antioxidants, supplementing what you can't get enough from food, and limiting sugar/refined carbs and inflammatory foods.

    • @MariaHernandez-rc2eq
      @MariaHernandez-rc2eq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not an expert, but I have done some research and I know that in the morning you should put on the vitamin c and then (a few minutes later) the moisturizer. At night, two or three times a week, you apply retinol (be very careful to remove it in the morning). The times you don't use retinol, take the opportunity to apply a cream aimed at your specific needs. I, for example, use an anti-aging repairer with collagen and then a moisturizer, (hyaluronic acid is very good) and around the eyes an anti-puffy serum. A big hug and blessings!

    I have tried Argireline Solution 10%: and even with tiny dose I feel my skin is burning and specially in the area around my eyes. It's painful and it lasts for days. Why does this happen to me? Sensitive skin? Dry skin? Or maybe because I have many allergies? Although it doesn't get red the area I just have the burn feeling

    do you think it's safe for under eyes, or should I wait for an eye cream with the same ingredients?

    • @sarahpalmyra
      @sarahpalmyra  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think you could use it near crows feet if needed! Always patch test first

    • @jasminateodorovic1248
      @jasminateodorovic1248 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it's not. Not scientifically based product overall, let alone for the eye area

    • @rebeccamorris3677

      There are trials done that show this works best on the crow feets. I use this around the eyes. Some other areas it doesn't work as well.

      @@jasminateodorovic1248 omg, agree agree, stick to products that are in the market and have been tested, the skin near the eyes is very thin and dilicate, you could spread close to your eyes that are obivilously near the crowsfeet

    Hi Sarah, thank you for your clear description of the product and its benefits to the skin which shows you have done your research. However you did not mention the pairing of Argeriline and Matrixyl 10 % solutions with Copper peptides. Is there any benefit to this layering and can these 3 products be paired?

    She only used it on her forehead but can one use it on the whole face? Or at least around the mouth to target the smile wrinkles? I’m sure the answer is pretty clear but I want to make sure. I hope I get an answer thank you.

      She said it can be used with retinol, but as tretinion is stronger than The Ordinary retinols, you should check with your dermatologist

    Thank you a lot for this review. I was just looking for some vegan crueltyfree alternatives to botox and you gave me a great piece of advice. I will order the serums and start using them immediately. Actually I've been using the ordinary's hyaluronic acid for quite long and I had no idea they had such wonderful botox alternatives!
