absolutely, 1070 providing 980ti performance and even higher + more vram + like 150 watts less???? 1060 6gb = 980?? a serious contender for the best generation EVER
I have a theory that Halo Infinite is optimized solely for RDNA2 (the same arch as the Series X), and Nvidia tried to close the gap with what driver hacks they could pull off. No other way to explain it's schizophrenic performance.
Yes ut right especially campaign where older gpus run horrible game is really not that much good looking i guess they really made it for rtx or new rdna 2 anyway useless game halo infinite is
This gpu is pretty good. I decided to get a 1660 non ti and it is pretty good too. Maybe you could benchmark that card when you have the chance? The 1660 doesn't have as much benchmarks as its super and ti version.
Started watching some of your videos earlier today and I'm only realizing now that you're a small channel. Looked and sounded way too professional for me to even think you had less than 100k or something So ye keep up the good work, u deserve much more and I'm sure it'll come at one point or another
Really, I've done the same video on my channel near a month ago😆, but I tested different games😉 The GTX 1070 is such a good card for the money🤩 (I paid 170€ shipped for it)
managed to snag a zotac 1070 for 150$ canadian better choice over the 6500xt and cheaper with more vram, 3050 be overpriced asf 430$ on sale before tax
the physical card will likely die way before it actually starts being bad at playing games. a lot of people with a 1080ti have had this happen the card has died and people were forced to buy a new gpu despite the 1080ti still being a monster.
I was just thinking about getting one for around 200-250 localy since 1080s go for at least 300. I even feel like it can do 1080p 60fps on high/ultra with fsr as it really breaths new life in older cards
@@ayanchatterjee9601 yea idk, maybe at ultra quality. I found a deal on 2070 super so thats what i went for in the end. It should last me years for 1080p 60fps gaming

Somehow scooped up a 1660 Super on eBay last night for $165USD (130GBP)! Almost certainly a mining card, but as long as it still performs well, I really couldn't care less. 1070 level performance for well under 6500XT price? Yes please

Got my 1070 on Ebay, cost 450$ total including taxes. The seller had benchmark images and high quality pictures. Good American seller feeder. Also promised it had never been used for mining, albeit that is questionable, although the cleanliness of the card appeared brand new, and came in the original box and anti-static bag. The only thing this card misses is ray tracing, but that is negligible. I run an i7 6700k, gtx evga 1070, 16gb DDR4 3600. Edit: for those wanting 144fps @ 4k, lowest settings with distance on medium for most games will run fluently and look beautiful even on low for the next 5 years assuming your CPU is better than mine.

In general, yes. In a few specific instances, like Warzone, there will be a fairly minor FPS difference, but the extra VRAM will be beneficial. In other titles the difference is much bigger- I’d expect more than double the FPS in Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, and 50% higher FPS in Cyberpunk. Plus, you probably have a couple of years of driver updates ahead of a 1070, whereas the Fury is now on legacy support.
Hi, i know I am commenting late. But I have an idea/Request for a video, that I hope you would interested as well. Can you make a Video on Testing Multiple GPUs on Halo Infinite. From like Gcn all the way to Rdna and a seperate Video for Nvidia Gpus aswell
I recently built a machine with a Ryzen 5 5500 and bought a used GTX 1070. It is not my gaming PC but my "Odd Jobs" PC although I wanted it able to do gaming if I wished. I was concerned though that I had a 420 watt power supply from an old build and thought it would not be powerful enough. Bought a 600 watt power supply due to being only a little more than a 500 watt. Should I have not sweated it and retained the 420 watt power supply?
I saw a 1070 for 120$ NZ so are likely going to upgrade from my 980. The 980 is good for the games I play but would like a little more horsepower to play games like eft and cp2077.
I have used the 1070 mini for last few years and definitely a great cpu for 1080p gaming. I game on my TV in the living room as a casual now due to being a grownup with a family so I'm. Not intrested in 4k Raytracing due to the little time I have.
I bought a 980ti ( same perf as 1070 ) And I can tell you guys that for only 100 bucks on ebay it's an absolute bargain @1080P and even on 2K with some games ! ( but TDP is higher than 1070 )
This is the exact GPU(GTX 1070 Asus Strix) I bought my brother when I was building his PC with a i7-8700 and 32GB of 3600mhz ram. It was a gift PC for him from me. I'm happy I made that investment for him all those years ago cause everything has been running as his editing, gaming, recording, and whatever else he wants on it. 'sighs' Now, he's not as technical as others and doesn't even understand MSI Afterburner(Tech lord give me strength🙏😭). He even leaves the sucker on 24/7 cause killing electronics and the power bill slowly is for the weak it seems. Despite making his PC perform seppuku like a honorable(albeit morbid) samurai, that sucker has been the best performing PC(I've at least ever known) that I've built for someone. And that GPU..with Studio Drivers..'inhales and exhales'..is performing well.
If you haven't dismantled rig, or sold 1070 GPU, can pls try playing Scum(still early access game 0.75, 0.8 is really close). Only game I'm considering getting PC all together. And your build rig is most reasonable of them all. ❤️ I would be happy with smooth-ish gameplay with around 60-75 fps.

I have this same exact gpu. Bought it for MSRP when it launched 6 years ago. I've been gaming in 1440p with it for five of those years and it does quite well actually. I have a 32 in 1440p monitor and I'm able to play just about any game I want on high settings. Not fully maxed out to ultra but on high. Just play through Elden Ring this way and the experience was awesome! You might not be able to crank everything to ultra, but with some graphics tweaking you can actually leave some settings on very high and get a rock solid frame rate.
