I've never done dawn and baking soda , but I do baking soda and Oxiclean a lot. I use dawn for my stainless steel surfaces but I'll have to try this. The broom is a great idea but I bought a flexible shower cleaner stick thingy with a rotating head so I can do tub and shower without bending.
I seen on another channel that you can use a flathead screwdriver and pop those metal cups around the jets off to clean under those too I was surprised how much residue was underneath
I’m not sure if anyone realizes but the Jets need to be cleaned, filling the whole entire tub with the hottest water possible, and then bleach run it for 20 minutes, nasty bacteria gets into the tubing of your jetted tub

I say the Dawn and baking soda is the better choice. Shaving cream or gel was never formulated to be to be a deep cleaner.
Use a new broom. As an old broom can have debris that can scratch your tube.
I've been doing this for a few minutes and I use the dawn power wash on mr. Clean freak. My back and knees love this 😁

Use bleach, white vinegar or a dishwashing tablet.
