I always clean mattress by sprinkling a liberal amount of baking soda , then put hydrogen peroxide in spray bottle, spray it down, allow to dry then vacuum it up, cleans stains and deodorizers
Are you talking about the raised stitched edge of a mattress? Or just the outer edge of a stain? I have found the baking soda/ hydrogen peroxide takes it all away, haven’t had to deal with a stain on the raised edge of a mattress though but would still try the hydrogen peroxide mix if it was me
Does the hydrogen peroxide dry out by itself, how do you dry out the liquid spray from the cloth and foam etc mattress. I tried to remove a tiny spot and used water and soap as someone suggested. Now I have a huge outline of water mark, it looks disgusting . Please let me know if this process will work to remove the water mark. Thank you in advance.
I've been a nurse for 30+ years and we used shaving cream on incontinent patients and it completely removed all the odors both urine and stool. Unfortunately they won't allow it to be used anymore. We also used shortening "Crisco" on the same patients to prevent rashes and to repel urine from the skin, like you would with A&D ointment. Worked amazingly well, but that stuff is cheap and we all know that health care is not cheap. 32 years ago when I had my son 1 Tylenol was $7! My bill was itemized and I saw the charges for everything. The room was cheaper for a day than 4 Tylenol tablets! Of course that was a few years ago. Lol.
My daughter got charged a huge amount one time for a popsicle. She went to the hospital for stomach pain and she had symptoms of appendicitis and they gave her an IV full of antibiotic observed her for 23 hours, gave her Tylenol and the popsicle then took her temperature and sent her home. I few years later she had a surgery to remove her gall bladder and they took her appendix and the pathology report came back as chronically infected. I know they just faked that she was well enough to send home, then when we got charged $20 for a popsicle too I was furious. We were sure she had appendicitis because my husband had it very bad when he was 16, his cousin had it and his ruptured and he nearly died and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. His sisters son had it too and many others in his family had serious GI problems and a Great Grandmother died from some unknown stomach ailment. We think they have a genetic defect of some kind that triggers it. They also as a family have many who form stones in the gallbladder.
I cleaned the kitchen trash can with shaving cream. I sprayed it on the lid and inside the can, let it sit for about 15 minutes and wiped it out. It worked like a charm without using a strong cleaner. And it smelled great!

Before using shaving cream on your glasses, mirrors, or car windshield, try a small area. I found it left a film/haze that caused things to look a little blurred. Then it was a major chore to get it all washed off. I don’t know if it was the brand or it could be the moisturizing ingredients they put in the shaving cream to protect the face.
In case that happened, I did rinse off well the shaving cream after cleaning with it on my mirrors and sinks, then I dried all well with an old clean rag hand towel. And it worked great! Also I found that I only need to use a very small amount of shaving cream to begin with.
Alcohol in the shaving cream can damage the anti reflective coating on your prescription eyeglass lenses. See online article: (Sciencing, How to Remove Anti-Reflective Coating From Eyeglasses)
Use shaving cream on your mirror in the bathroom and it will not fog up when you take a shower.i know this for a fact .I have also used it to keep my glasses from fogging up since wearing a mask
I was skeptical but oh wow it really does work on mirrors and sinks, they are sparkling! But just a very small amount is all you need, like a Bing Cherry sized or a bit larger amount of barbusol shaving cream! I have used shaving cream around the base of the toilet to get rid of urine odors. Let it sit for about an hour and rinse off! The bathroom will smell fresh & clean 🤗
Do not use shaving cream on your carpet. It’s essentially a soap, and because it’s not being rinsed off, you’re leaving a nice soapy buildup that will be a magnet for dirt and grime.

Gotta say, after house cleaning over 60 years, was a bit reluctant to believe this, but have got to let you (and your readers) know, it worked like magic. Theres something strange that happens in my husbands shower after the hot water and soap has been turned on, the scum becomes glued on to the fiberglass shower surround, and the only way I could get it off was scrapping it off with a razor scraper! Hated that, it got it but was hard work and wasn’t too happy doing it that way, so out of desperation, the shave cream was called into action...man, you have saved me hours and hours of work! You just got a new subbie... I'm going to dollar tree in the morning and buy about 6 bottles of shaving cream and a dollar broom, so that I can clean the spare bathroom. I was at my wits end trying to figure out how I was going to clean that tub... Thank you sooooo much for these great tips.
Just an idea here…I use Head & Shoulders shampoo to scrub the soap scum off of showers & bathtubs & it’s always worked great for me!!! when I lived in homes with fiberglass bathtubs…those things are hard to clean! My go to is alway a good scrubbing with Lysol (the yellow liquid lemony kind) and then I follow up with Comet. I love Comet! But I find that even though I do get the soap scum off-eventually- I still have to put in alot of elbow grease. Unless I mix up a paste & let it sit for an hour or so…which I don’t always have time to do. So I started using shampoo to clean the bathtub & shower; while I’m already in there showering lol. I read this tip in an older published cleaning book I found at a garage sale years ago! It said we use shampoo to clean buildup off our hair, so it would clean the same buildup off our tubs! Which made sense to me! I found Head & Shoulders to work the best-but other shampoo will work. Head & Shoulders squirted on a sponge on the abrasive side & I did little scrubbing. I even tried Prell-it did not work! I remember always hearing not to use Prell because it’s so harsh & really strips your hair…so just to use it occasionally to remove buildup of products. Knowing it strips buildup I bought a bottle from the dollar store, thinking it would work wonderfully; it did not 😞. So I stick with my Head & Shoulders! I hope you try it!
Dollar General has the best ever cleaner for $3.00 for I think it's a 1/2 gal. bottle. It's called Awesome. Add your own water. I cleaned rust off my carpet. Buy the $1.00 bottle as well for the spray bottle. You can use it in your carpet shampooing machine. Never use undiluted on any painted surface.
I am still waiting for the rug to dry but I used this hack to FINALLY tackle a few stains on my living room rug. Carpet cleaner is not something I keep around the house! Shaving cream is readily available in my home so you can imagine my excitement when watching your video. Will update again later but I soooo appreciate the time you took in schooling us on shaving cream uses as a cleaning agent. Again, thank you.
Wooow! I will be buying some shaving cream. You have helped me with cleaning up the house alot. I also used the window cleaner with the sponge to clean my tub . Thanks.
He Andrea, I had to go try the shaving cream before I could finish the video and I couldn't believe how wonderful this was. I am an older woman and it has become increasingly hard to get the tub clean, in fact I have seriously fallen a couple of times cleaning it. No more. It also worked on my garage door which gets so scummy as all family members go in and out the garage door when they get home or just come visit. Thank you for the tips. Wish I had known about this 50 years ago. 🙂
Dawn dish soap plus baking soda mixed into lumps spread with broom, or deck brush, then pour white vinegar all around, finally scrub with broom or other scrubbing tool. Shave cream for polishing mirrors and glass. Good stuff. Thank you!
One of my kids teachers would spray it on everyone's desks and let the kids draw and play in it to clean the desk tops. Her room always smelled amazing afterwards and the kids were helping to keep her room clean and didn't realise it, lol.
I taught first grade for many years. On Tuesdays we'd always use dry erase markers to practice writing words. On Wednesdays i sprayed each desk with a thick layer of shaving cream and the kids practiced writing in the foam. Cleaned up the desks of EVERYTHING, and my room smelled fresh! As a mom, I'd let my kids practice writing in shaving cream on the kitchen floor. Those tiles were sparkling!
Holy shoot! I went out after watching your vid. My area is baseboards (pets and I live in a dusty desert). Applied on Mr. Clean sponge and wiped. My baseboards look brand new!!!! Thank you for your tips. I'm onto my AC/heater vent now!
If you use shaving cream to remove stains from your carpet you should rinse it to prevent leaving behind the “soap” shaving cream is made of. If you don’t rinse those areas you cleaned it will be more susceptible to grabbing onto dirt and grime. It will also discolor your carpet over time.
you can also use the broom to clean hard to reach places like the corners of the walls of your home and just brush the walls with the broom then wipe them down by putting a wet towel over the broom then wiping the walls down with the broom thank me later
Without thanks to you, I've been doing something similar for the majority of my life, and I'm nearly 70. It's not a new idea at all to clean walls in such a manner 🙄.

It's much easier to vacuum your air duct vents. It works amazing and I'm sure you will like doing it better then scrubbing them. You vacuum the base boards anyways so just get the vent while you are doing the base boards.
Not all are that easy so I will be trying this one for I’ve already tried to vacuum the vent where the forever filter goes pull out once a Mth spray it with hose on super high like a power washer and walaaa no more $$$ spent on those throw aways. The Bolivian had never seen shaving cream before. He had said he had forgotten his shampoo. He asked if he could borrow this mans. The man said yes. The Bolivian man kept saying how horrible the shampoo was. It was actually shaving cream!
My biggest challenges in cleaning are the glass shower surround (we have VERY hard water and nothing I’ve tried so far has worked) and the inside of the oven door. Will shaving cream work on either of these?
I luv the brooms from the dollar store. They are lightweight and work well. We have one for inside and one for outside the house. Soon I'll get one for the tub and the shower in the 2nd bathroom.

@@NotLuv22 I am sure going to try it. Thank you
I am still waiting for the rug to dry but I used this hack to FINALLY tackle a few stains on my living room rug. Carpet cleaner is not something I keep around the house! Shaving cream is readily available in my home so you can imagine my excitement when watching your video. Will update again later but I soooo appreciate the time you took in schooling us on shaving cream uses as a cleaning agent. Again, thank you.
Wonderful!
Ohh you're freaking awesome... To think how I just could've been stocking up on shaving cream to clean with.... Wow I love this. Thanks for sharing .
OMG!! I need to try this. I have a disability and can't use my hands. So I am going to try this asap!! Thank you for sharing.
Use shaving cream on your glasses. When you wear your mask they won’t fog up.
Djk33❤😍😘 are you single how old you are
It’s also used for shower doors and mirrors too to prevent fog up.
Oh my gosh !! I have to try this
Now this is the golden ticket right here! For sure gonna do tomorrow!
I will try that today. Thanks!
Wooow! I will be buying some shaving cream. You have helped me with cleaning up the house alot. I also used the window cleaner with the sponge to clean my tub . Thanks.
In your tub or shower…did the soap scums got cleaned?? 😉
Love these hacks! I don't always want to use a cleaner or vinegar. Thank you so much!
Not all heroes wear capes 💕
Thanks for the great tips ☺️
He Andrea, I had to go try the shaving cream before I could finish the video and I couldn't believe how wonderful this was. I am an older woman and it has become increasingly hard to get the tub clean, in fact I have seriously fallen a couple of times cleaning it. No more. It also worked on my garage door which gets so scummy as all family members go in and out the garage door when they get home or just come visit. Thank you for the tips. Wish I had known about this 50 years ago. 🙂
Train your family members to clean up and let them do the bending and lifting you no longer can.
You can use on your face as well for overgrown hair
Dawn dish soap plus baking soda mixed into lumps spread with broom, or deck brush, then pour white vinegar all around, finally scrub with broom or other scrubbing tool. Shave cream for polishing mirrors and glass. Good stuff. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!!
One of my kids teachers would spray it on everyone's desks and let the kids draw and play in it to clean the desk tops. Her room always smelled amazing afterwards and the kids were helping to keep her room clean and didn't realise it, lol.
This was my favorite memory from kindergarten! 🙌🏾🧃
My favorite thing to do in kindergarten ❤💕 best memories
Ñh
That’s what I do at my job working at a daycare
Holy shoot!
I went out after watching your vid.
My area is baseboards (pets and I live in a dusty desert). Applied on Mr. Clean sponge and wiped. My baseboards look brand new!!!!
Thank you for your tips.
I'm onto my AC/heater vent now!
I'm about to get a bunch of Shaving cream after watching your video.
Thanks Gorgeous ✨
If you use shaving cream to remove stains from your carpet you should rinse it to prevent leaving behind the “soap” shaving cream is made of. If you don’t rinse those areas you cleaned it will be more susceptible to grabbing onto dirt and grime. It will also discolor your carpet over time.
I have summarized the video for people with limited time: You can clean anything with Shaving Foam.
🙏
Lol
Don't forget the microfiber towel 🤨
You done good,Allen. Thanks.
🤣🤣🤣
thanks for the tips, sharing this out
Glad it was helpful!
you can also use the broom to clean hard to reach places like the corners of the walls of your home and just brush the walls with the broom then wipe them down by putting a wet towel over the broom then wiping the walls down with the broom thank me later
Without thanks to you, I've been doing something similar for the majority of my life, and I'm nearly 70. It's not a new idea at all to clean walls in such a manner 🙄.
Just tried it ..works so well my bathroom is shining & smelling fresh.....
Miss, these are the best tips I've ever seen. Thanks so much. Have a great day
Thanks 4 sharing
we hv tried 2 figure out how 2 remove stains out of the carpet. We're GOING 2 try & see how it turns out.
This is the first time in my life that I have been excited about a cleaning project!!! My kitchen is screaming for help. I will report back my results. Thank you for your awesome content.
It's been three weeks, how did it go?
Nema Roman, what's your results
I guess it was a....NO
Results??
I knew there were good uses for shaving cream but these went above and beyond. Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
If your on a tight budget in a new house and don’t have a fresh coat of paint I can definitely see this working-Thanks Andre
In a damp humid, uky climate, well vac doesn't hack it
Sometimes u move somewhere and they aren't clean to start with or are cleaning someone else's space.
Can't vacuum off oils and grime
Better than, not better then.
Phenomenal video. I will use shaving cream to clean all these different areas in my house. Thank you for the tips.
I'M GONNA DO THIS. CLEANING THE TUB IS DIFFICULT FOR ME AND I CAN DO THIS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE.
Shaving cream hmmm? What a clever idea. And simple. And delicious smelling. What a great tip. Thank you. 🌹❤️
I used it (before I found your video) to clean up dried interior paint off of our ceramic floors, and plaster off my flat screen TV.
Thank you!✋🏽😊😌
You’re welcome 😊
It's AMAZING! Shaving cream does the same thing any other cleaner does!
this lady just made me spring clean my whole house 🏠 yayyyy new subscriber here thabk u im ocd and old and adhd and I am on the 11 to 7 shift for some reason at my house too and I stay up at night and sleep during the day I hate it. It's becuase I've been a Nurse for years and it was my schedule 📅 🙃 😩 trying to get back on a routine of getting up around at least 11am. That would be a miracle for me.
Even better than shaving cream is rubbing alcohol, and you don't have to rinse anything. By the way you can clean carpet with rubbing alcohol!
We cleaned the nurses station with rubbing alcohol even the phone receiver with alcohol. It works great!
Rubbing alcohol is drying - especially on acrylic fixtures.
@@MsBizzyGurl especially 90% alcohol. some of my medical devices state that cleaning should be with 70% rubbing alcohol only as 90% will dry out and crack the plastic
Yes and good for micro fiber furniture. I clean all my fixtures &glass with rubbin alcohol.
@@jewellenhart7717 Same here!
Love the broom hack, my mom taugh me that 40 years ago. Let me tell you it is a life changer as you are aging.
Your broom hack will save my back. Thank you. I use Scrubing Bubbles.
At Walmart they sell scrub pad brush with a telescoping wand that will let you stand as you clean. Costs less than a broom too.
@@roadtripboy They sell brooms at the Dollar Tree as well.
A mop works better...js
I've had separate mops for the floors, walls and bathtubs for YEARS!!! It's so much easier.
@@2dayhair813 The point is a broom is not suited for scrubbing. There are better choices that will actually work.
@@roadtripboy I use a broom as my mother did and I prefer it to the wands. My response to you was in regards to the wands costing less than a broom; a broom is cheaper if it’s from the Dollar Tree.
I absolutely love you! I don't even use shaving cream, but my friend left some over. My little ones left stains on the rugs at our last home, I've been scrubbing for hours. Im going to try shaving cream on everything. Love your hacks, fantastic!
I love you ❤️❤️❤️
I'm loving the love! 😂❤
I'm going to Dollar Tree as soon as they open (there's 4 locations that are within 15 minutes of me)nd clean them out of shaving cream!! I'm so excited to try the bathtub hack!
I do the same thing but I use Dawn dish soap. It works great!
Me too
Me too, K. I bought a broom just bc it was beautiful (really!) and never used it. So it should do nicely w the SC.
I'm going try it especially on mattress.
I love these shaving cream hacks! I use to get in trouble for always playing with the yummy smelling shaving cream as a child. Bonus cause now I can play and clean at the same time.
Funny girl!😇😅
Cute cute
Used to, not use to.
I was taking classes to be a licensed childcare we were made to play with shaving cream we all had a blast and she was just trying to show us how fun it was for the kids hahaha
Amazing hacks, I would definitely try them all. Thanks for sharing. 😊
You are so welcome!
Wow! I have to try these! I do have to tell you a funny story though . We were living in Bolivia. Someone I knew had gone to a conference. He was staying in the same cabin with a Bolivian. The Bolivian had never seen shaving cream before. He had said he had forgotten his shampoo. He asked if he could borrow this mans. The man said yes. The Bolivian man kept saying how horrible the shampoo was. It was actually shaving cream!
Andrea, thank you for sharing this information with me. I will try it soon. May God bless you and your family.
Good idea shaving cream has multiple uses disinfect and clean at the same time thanks for sharing 👍
Wow this is unbelievable I would have never thought about shaving cream THANK YOU 😊
You're so welcome!
it does such a wonderful job cleaning all of these already clean things and surfaces golly wow
Fell into my suggestions.... I'm sticking around for the tips AND the commentary during your videos.
Love it thank you!
This was a great video and I will start cleaning with shaving cream thank you and God bless
I use shaving cream to clean and shine up. I love this!
My biggest challenges in cleaning are the glass shower surround (we have VERY hard water and nothing I’ve tried so far has worked) and the inside of the oven door. Will shaving cream work on either of these?
Vinegar works great on hard water stains.
And once it is clean, put rain clear on it like what you put on your windshield! It will totally repel water! 💦
@@charlenegriffis5900 Thanks for that suggestion!
she is very positive person let her shine/ clean
Shaving cream to expensive just soap.
Have not bought it in years just use soap to shave.
Wife, "I'm cleaning the house and EVERYTHING with shaving cream!!!"
Husband, "Honey, where's my shaving cream, didn't I just buy a four pack!?!?".
Wow - Thank You - I never knew
On my way to Dollar Tree now for a broom and a can of shaving cream.Tfs.
I luv the brooms from the dollar store. They are lightweight and work well. We have one for inside and one for outside the house. Soon I'll get one for the tub and the shower in the 2nd bathroom.
Swear it works good. Good enough to clean with
I used it to clean my dirty 70's bath sink and old faucets.
It smelled great and made it shine.
It will not streak a mirror.
For a dollar and I used very little.
It who'll be my go to cleaner to clean bath sink and NO TOXIC FUMES.
AWESOME!
Awesome cleaning hacks! Who knew shaving cream was so versatile?! And an impromptu song, to boot. 🙂
Loved this. ♡
Wow what shaving cream can really do. Ty for sharing. Good job 👍
I saw this and tried it DAMM it is awesome i used in my kitchen eveything cleans and has a nice shine THANKYO Andrea
Wonderful!
THANK YOU!!! I have vertigo. I can not clean my tub without getting dizzy. I usually have to pay someone to do it..now I know how to do it and with what product. God 🙏 this video was actually a game changer!!!
I use the swifter mop on the walls of the tub/shower
Fellow Vertigo..OMG... I hate that feeling I get so bad..sick to my stomach too.
It really sets in when I lay down to go to bed and turn my head..forget it...
I feel your pain. 🙄
Look up the Epley maneuver for your vertigo 😊
@@TrudyPatootie Epely maneuver will change your life
@@bja2you Thank you Betty. I have done that so many times.
If I tell you that I fainted more than once doing it would you believe it? Horrible experience for me.
Just left me deathly sick. Well deathly is an exaggeration. But I was down for the count. But thank you. Very nice of you to suggest.
I needed this so badly right now! Thank you for your time and effort to produce this informative video for us. ❤️
Must say your Bathtub already looks clean before actually cleaning it! 👍 those micro clothes are amazing !
Exactly I'm like come on
The microfibre for glass & ceramics means you only need at add water, nothing else 🤷♀️
The microfiber cloth are great. I buy them in a pack of 36. I use them for my car as well house cleaning. Then throw them in washer. They wash great.
@@alissagonzales735 where is a good place to buy them?
We use Lysol Bathroom Foam Spray on all these things. We use mattress covers and wash these each week to help our mattress stay fresh.
Forgot to add, I use the broom to sweep vents 1st before cleaning so as to not have extra dirt on wet cloth.
👍🤟
I used sc in the asst L as a housekeeper to clean upholstery of poop and urine.
But the shower and toilet! I loved all your hacks❣ didn't know it did all that! Now l do
TY😍
Great job! So many tricks I had no idea. Thank you for sharing all this with us.
You inspired me to get my broom and shaving crepe. Now that I my husband’s shaving up….I have to buy some more. Thank you
Hi Andrea. I tried shaving cream in my tubs and it is a happy thumbs up! I have a question for you: have you used shaving cream on window sills and window blinds? (one of my least favorite to clean are the blinds). I haven't tried it on the window etcs yet...just thought i would ask first.
I'm so happy with the shaving cream that --no kidding--I bought $tree shaving cream for stocking gifts!!
Venetian blinds?
Just swinging back by to say THANK YOU!🤗 These hacks are a game changer. I just finished my bathroom in record time.
Wonderful!
Fantastic shaving cream cleaning tips!
I use it on my mirror all the time. I will try it on the rug soon thanks.
I did use/like Dollar Tree broom idea!,saves the back💪😁
I saw one of these clips where they used it on stove fan cover of house I bought, filthy stove fan. To test, I used first my hand scrubbing bubbles and it was hard work. I then tried a good gilete shave cream. It felt somewhat oily, I believe this is what removes the grease, oil to remove oil. It worked, and easily,, I used paper towels to toss.. but then I used a disinfectant afterwards
Can’t wait to try a couple of these! Thanks
Loved this, I try the broom cleaning on tub, I will get dissolving shaving cream, today !
I found out about cleaning with shaving cream on accident. i let my kid's play with shaving cream all the time, one day I put it right on the table. oh my gosh. my table had never been so clean lol
Which table ? Glass or wood?
@@jurnee97 Glass not wood because of the alcohol
