Carlos Hathcock is a legend but I think he admitted in his book that scope shot was more less luck. Not taking anything away from his story just hate when Hollywood makes it into something else.

Interesting fact: Simo never told people the precise number of his kills even though he himself must have known it. During wartime he usually gave detailed reports about the stuff he had done during the day. Likewise: "I killed 20 Russians and shot 3 more in the leg". Recently his personal notebook was published where he himself estimated that he had killed "About 500".
He also acted very reluctantly when people asked him about the stuff he did in the war and usually told about it in very simple manner never giving away too many details.
The way they talk about kills and war is sad, they talk about killing like it’s some sort of sport

@@siavashahangar7128 Any kind of a scope is a benefit and simo hayha fought in freezing temperatures he would for hours sit in the snow waiting for an enemy to come and he used an older version of the mosin nagant that he was better at so no his weapon wasn't on par with weapons of the enemy and the soviets had tanks, planes and artillery which were frequently used to try to take him out.

There is no historical evidence to outside of Soviet Propoganda and Zytzev own words that Major Konig even excisted. German records list no such person and other historians from multiple countries discredit that the event even took place. Not to mention Soviet Propoganda is as unreliable as a Chauchat LMG.
Trevor Nichols Maybe some of what he did is fiction but I still believe he was a great sniper and he did give hope to his people. So I think he's worthy enough. People say Chris Kyle made up half the stuff he did (actually military personal and other SEALs). You can't get too accurate with kill count or the tales of the heroes.
