Exactly!! There may be an issue(s) the owner is not aware of. Also, since the owner is working on the car, the dealership may say that the issue(s) is a result of something the owner did and not cover it under warranty or take ownership of their poor workmanship.
C7- last free oil change at CHEV was June27.....hottest day of year in Gilbert,AZ....I made appointment at 730am..1st early...I told them do not put car outside after, I am waiting. Several hrs later, I went looking for car!! Ran into rep, he says "we have been looking for you!". Balcony...I just left the customer lounge, NOBODY WAS LOOKING! **. RESULT: CAR out in sun facing south full sun on dash 3LT...BUBBLED the gauge top cover!!!! $500 part...started lifting top dash around defrost outlet!!! $1500 & not available! Constant backorder!! Black 3LT
They’ve messed up the car multiple times and get it dirty everytime they touch it. I dont want them touching it at all anymore. Id rather pay up, do it myself and KNOW it was done perfectly.
for anyone watching in warm climates, valvoline has a European 10w40 at Walmart $26 for 5 quart jug. it has the api -sp test for direct injection engines. instead of 0w40 for extra cost. that test means you keep the warranty without the dexos label... I'm 8n south glorida, always over 80 degrees
There is a service bulletin for the transmission. If the case is leaking, GM will replace the transmission. Mi e was getting inspected for this when they found another customer trans leaking.
Love the color. I even question if the stealership would actually use the $10.+/qt Mobil 1 Supercar oil, likely most are using the Dexos Mobil 1 5W30 (just a hunch). Keep up the good work/vids.
I take it right back to the dealer if that's hard plastic that stain will not come out... & that looks tacky on a SUPERCAR.. not to mention resale.. i'd pass on that car if i saw that regardless of what the owner says happened ... big investment
Those cars are so cheaply made. They will not hold up compared to the Ls3 cars. We had a 2021 and got rid of it for a C6 Gran Sport, I don’t miss the silly C8 interior and fake insect looking design.

Happens oil the time. And I don't get it!! I do mine too for a long time now. Engine, tranny and rear end.
I just ordered the oil and filter from O’Reillys and it was $102. Don’t get scammed by the dealer or other online retailers

I really don't understand why you wouldn't take it back to the dealership and make them do it for free. I know if it was my car, it would go back.

Thankfully, it doesn't have to be under warranty for GM to replace at no charge to you.

I did the same thing I took my Corvette in they left the oil filter loose. And the car is a Z06 I know there's a leak in the garage what a shame

Buy some speed car ramps,,make your life easier. If you can afford a C8 you can afford those ramps.
I honestly wanna just buy those quick lifts they make. I find myself taking off the wheels alot to work on this car
