  • 70 years have passed since the Nakba, the “catastrophe” in Arabic, took place in Palestine in 1948.
In which more than 750,000 Palestinians were forcefully displaced from their homes and pushed into refugee camps in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and neighbouring countries.

@Johnnyprc incorrect, the deal that Arabs got was 56% go the jews while 46% go to Arabs, that was the deal. At the time there was 1.5 mil Arabs and 400k jews, you have to be crazy to accept a deal like that when jews were the minority.

My life stories with Israeli apartheid:
Since the Nakba in 1948, my Palestinian family has been displaced by Israeli forces from Jericho, their birth place, to three different refugee camps in the West Bank until they settled in one camp near Bethlehem, where they started their fourth new life after all of their assets they had in Jericho like houses, farms , shops, and lands were confiscated by the Israelis and simply given away to Israeli settlers who immigrated to Palestine from Eastern Europe.
After that my dad worked almost all of his life for Israeli building companies in the occupied West Bank to secure basic needs for his children. My mum and despite her mental illness caused by the displacement trauma, had somehow and miraculously managed to keep us all alive , and together.
However the saddest aspect of this brutal Israeli occupation was not the loss of our land in Jericho itself, but the overall poor living conditions we experienced under the apartheid military control where the Israeli soldiers can shoot and kill innocent Palestinians without being prosecuted. Of course, lack of basic human rights has been the main highlight of the Israeli occupiers who did not give neither my mum nor dad any health care, social care, life or health insurance , compensation for displacement , care home or even basic retirement salary as they later became frail and ill. My parents were lucky to bring up a family in such inhumane circumstances and for me they were my biggest heroes and without whom the story of my life would not be possible to tell.
The story of my family is just one of millions of similar stories in Palestine and I’m sure there are more horrific stories to be told, but there are also many that can never be heard as their heroes are no longer with us.

Al Jazeera is lying as always. Almost all of the 750.000 Palestinians left voluntarily because the Arab countries were going to attack Israel in 1948. What nobody expected is that Israel won the war. Of course they did not want these Palestinians back so they became refugees. The 160.000 Palestinians who stayed are the ancestors of the now 1.5 million Arab Israeli citizens.

This video is missing a few key points -
When jews immigrated around 1900, they never intended to banish any arab. This is casually stated in the video in both showing the letter and also stating that the first immigrant PURCHASED the land in a way to grow their communities peacefully. and for a while - it worked.
      When did it stopped working?
Once the arabs in palestine saw that the Balfour Declaration is getting real and half the land will be dedicated to jewish government.
So even though the UN gave the arabs states Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, for the arabs it wasnt enough. Also religious figures would state that according to Islam, moslem can NOT be the inferior religion. They can accept jews, but only under muslim law.
So they started fighting the jewish immigrants before the jews even had any militant capabilities. This is the reason the jews created the Hagana, which was their main militant force and was mostly passive.
The rejection of the arabs to a jewish state started before any form of zionist crimes.
They could have been a peacful jewish state next to a palestinian state if the arabs wouldn't resist the existence of israel from the get go.
This is the cause of everything - the desire to deny ANY jewish state in Palestine, even though Palestine is the origin of the jews.
These hostilities and attacks of arab villages and communities against the new jewish immigrents gave birth to the Etzel and Lechi, two radical and even terrorist like jewish groups. They were about 200 - 400 of them, compared to the hagana, which is 100000 strong. The Hagana was generaly far more peacful and far more into the diplomatic solution. The radical Etzel and Lechi were a minority but they made some crimes against the population, as the man in the video stated. Mostly in Deir Yassin in order to open up a path for humanitarian aid into the blockaded jewish jerusalem.
The evens in Deir Yassin cause the arab population to be afraid of the jews, assuming that the radical Etsel and Lechi represents the entire jewish military force, and they fled. Most of the 750000 fled on their own, just like the jewish population in the Negen in israel and the northern parts of israel now have fled. It's war. It's dangerous. they fled. So did most of the palestinians. Some where forced to bu jews, but mostly did the reasonable thing and fled.
So in conclusion - the arabs didnt like the idea of a jewish state even as a concept and started a rivalry with the jews to prevent the state from happening.
This rivalry cause a lot of arabs to leave. Israel won and didnt allow the return of the arabs, since they knew that if they return, they will be a hostile population that will try and destroy israel again.
And as you said - these events are the same -
The arabs (Hamas) start a war with with the jews with a desire to eliminate Israel, during the war arab population needs to flee they own homes because they started a war from their own land, and if the jews will win, they will take over the land to prevent future wars on it. It's the same mistake again.

    • @adarwinterdror7245
      @adarwinterdror7245 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@joeirvine1033 I am fully against Hamas but I think your statement is irrelevant.
The Gazans elected Hamas in 2005. There were no elections since then, so if Hamas messed up in the past 17 years, it's not like anyone had a chance to replace him, even if support in Hamas is just 1%.
Also, Hamas will arrest people who are against them or against their way of acting.
On top of that, 50% of the population in Gaza is 18 or younger. so 50% of the population weren't even born when the last election took place. And many of the others were too young to vote. so maybe only about 35% of the population were of voting age when hamas last had elections.
So I don't think that your argument stands.
However, i am pretty sure [according to various factors I'm not gonna go into] that most Gazans support violence and killings against jews, so whether they support hamas or not is irrelevant. However, if they do support violence against jews than yes, they somewhat deserve it.
and yet again - I am going to counter my own argument. Unarmed civilians or civilians that didnt take part in violent acts are out-of-the-question in terms of international law, afaik.

@@JayeEllis some (definitely not all) palestinians today want a two state solution - palestinians in the west bank and gaza, and israel on the shore, where they are now.
This offer was already there before 1947. If they only agreed there would have been no Nakba and no war and no problem.
The Nakba is the Arabs fault (Palestinians, but also Jordanian, Syrians, Egyptians and Iraqis) for denying jews a land and wanting to do Genocide and ethnical cleansing in 1947-48.
Arabs have proven to themselves that every time they want to hurt the jews or fight for a cause with violence, they will get a worse and worse living conditions, and they are still repeating this mistake for like the 8th time.

People should learn what nakba actually means.
The word “nakba” to describe the consequences of the 1948 War was coined by Dr. Constantin Zureiq, a Syrian historian who taught at the American University of Beirut. Writing in his 1948 book, The Meaning of the Disaster, Zureiq said, “The defeat of the Arabs in Palestine is not a small downfall - naksa … It is a catastrophe - nakba - in every sense of the word.”
Zureiq also wrote, “Seven Arab countries declare war on Zionism in Palestine….Seven countries go to war to abolish the partition and to defeat Zionism, and quickly leave the battle after losing much of the land of Palestine - and even the part that was given to the Arabs in the Partition Plan.”
“When the battle broke out,” Zureiq wrote, “our public diplomacy began to speak of our imaginary victories, to put the Arab public to sleep and talk of the ability to overcome and win easily - until the nakba happened.”

The UN "suggested" dividing Palestine? That phrasing is deliberately misleading. UN Resolution 181, which partitioned Mandatory Palestine into Jewish and Arab territory, was voted on and adopted in late 1947. Leaders from most Arab-majority countries chose not to vote. Instead of voting, the Iraqi Prime minister vowed to "obliterate every place the Jews seek shelter in."

Why didn't you mention that Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan - ALL attacked Israel, thus beginning hostilities? It may put a different light on the Nakba which is after all a commemoration of a defeat. None of this would have happened if the Arab world has abided by the UN resolution. The whole Nakba syndrome is a whining of a people who, if they had won the war, would have put the Jews to the sword. My sympathy, I'm afraid goes elsewhere.

The video presented offers a fragmented narrative, omitting the profound suffering of the Holocaust and the brutal massacres endured by Jews at the hands of Palestinians. To grasp the full scope of this complex history, it is essential to engage with materials from both perspectives.
For Jews, there is no alternative homeland. After the horrific loss of six million lives during the Holocaust, the quest for a secure place became a matter of survival. It is deeply sorrowful that this pursuit has also caused pain to others. Yet, as a Jew and an Israeli, I can attest that we are a nation that yearns for peace, striving only to secure a safe haven for our people.

I'm learning a lot about the nakba as a jewish Israeli. I am doing a lot of reading and watching videos like this to become more familliar with the attrocities that were committed by the jewish side, but when this video states that Israel received foreign military, political and financial support I get immediately suspicious of this particular video's credibility. (This is not at all to say that I don't think the Nakba happened) but stating that Israel received foreign aid seems extremely disengenuious. Israel took over many/most (not all I don't think) British weaponry and equipment - true. Israel imported arms from Czeckoslovakia - they smuggled secretly purchased weapons into Palestine when the british blockade ended- I don't know if that counts as aid. Israeli agents bought aircrafts and bombers from overseas as well. Israeli arms were mostly produced in the Ayalon Kibbutz. Most of the Israeli army was funded by the Jewish National Fund if I'm not mistaken. If anyone received foreign aid, it was Palestine.

Yep, this crusade will fail because the Palestinians are not Arabs. The Quran forbade Arabs settling in Palestine/Israel.
DNA tests show that so called Palestinians are ancient Hebrews and are closely related to Safadi, Mizrahi, Druze, Samaritans and other Middle East Jews.
However, European Ashkenazi Jews are 50% Slavonic. So are Zionists really Jews according to the Talmud?
Allah is the best of planners:
      1. Christians believe Jesus will return and they will rule the world/paradise at the end of time.
      2. Jews believe a messiah will come when Jews are pious and the whole world will be Jewish, but it will not the end of time. That must mean no Zionism present.
      3. Islam believes the Messiah will return as a Muslim and Islam will become the dominant religion, which will be plainly apparent, but it will not the end of time.
