I think this would be very helpful for novices who don't understand how VSTi's work. Thanks for taking the time. For me, I found the last 2 minutes helpful.
Suggestion: Maybe work out the camera issues ahead of time, and try to be more time efficient for viewers. Same into in half the time would be twice as good.

You would think that for such an expensive software they would make adding and using VSTs a lot easier!
Hi Violin Life! I believe Sibelus 7 and Sibelius First both come with 32 and 64 bit versions, both 32 and 64 are added to your computer during installation so If you have installed one of these already, then try doing a search for "Sibelius 32 bit" and you should see a shortcut for the 32 version come up in your search bar. There are many options for buying extra sounds, these packages are called VSTs and there are many on the market like the one in this video "Philharmonik". Hope that helps.
You can make this much simpler with jbridge and use x64 Sibelius.

how about changing technic ...in case i put violin (phil) in chanel 1.. an than? staccatto, pizzicato for chanel 1 is stil normaly arco??
dose anyone know how to or if it is possible to use Note performer for the some instruments and tap space VDL for the percussion? I've been scouring the internet for hours. thank you
Hola Jorge, me funcionó perfecto. el unico tema es que cada vez que abro sibelius se reseteo nuevamente el phillarmonik y tengo que volver a configurar los instrumentos que quiero. Hay forma de evitar esto?
Hi, Jorge. If you would like to improve the tutorial (great potential there), Camtasia does screen capturing really well. There are probably some freeware equivalents if you Google it. That aside, thanks for the tutorial. I had some aha moments because of the 64- vs.32-bit program difference. Very useful.
JING is free an it does 5 min at a time - so you can do multiple takes - but its free.
I cannot seem to get the philharmonik to show up in the Available devices no matter what I do. I have tried everything you did in the video and it still does not seem to work. Any suggestions?
will it work with Sibelius First? and how do I know if my sibelius is 32 or 64? do they have an option of buying extra sounds?

Thanks for taking your time to reply. Sibelius 7 First is 32 Bit so thats not a problem. Since I am new to Sibelius and to Miraslov for tat matter, I have no idea how to install Miraslov that it should work with Sibelius in the first place. In other words: Can u wal me thru how the configuration that these 2 should interact? thanks
Hi Tony, there may be a better way than what I'm going to suggest but the easiest thing to do is to create a separate instrument line for each articulation. I know this is very tedius, especially with bigger projects, but that's what I've been doing to get demo recordings of my Sibelius work. Sorry I couldn't help more.
will Philharminik also work with Sibelius First?

tm wlhslc You can try doing a Google search for free or open source VST. People make and share some great stuff at no cost. You are not likely to find a full orchestral package like Philharmonik which was not free. You will probably find individual instruments like electric pianos, drum sets etc... Lots of cool sounds out there!
Hola Camilo, disculpa la respuesta tardada. Hasta este momento mi unica solucion es la misma de crear una pista individual para cada tipo de articulacion. Creo que podra aver una forma de mantener arco y pizzicato en una sola pista, se podria hacer con un mensaje midi de Sibelius a Miroslav donde sucede el cambio. Si alguien encuentra la solucion a este problema por favor compartelo con la comunidad.

Has encontrado la manera de por ejemplo.. en el mismo canal "Violin" hacer un cambio de patch a "Staccato".. Porque lo único que se me viene a la mente es hacer una pista "Violin Legato", "Violin Staccato". Sin embargo, tengo esperanza que exista una forma mejor.

hello Jorge!first i wanna thank you for posting this tutorial.second,i did everything like you said and i can see plugin in sib. but i cant select it and activate it.do you have any clue where the problem is...i tried to change scaning folders,copy dll's in all posible folders related with sib.,and still the same.please can you help with some advice.thanks in advance...greetings!
+zoran jerkovic Hi Zoran. I'm sorry, I don't think I will be able to provide any new advice. I would suggest deleting any excess or extra Philharmonik.dll files and try to pinpoint the exact VST Plugin folder that will work on your computer and show up in Sibelius. Once you have done your best to clean up unnecessary dll files try following the steps on the video as carefully as possible from the 11:00 minute mark. If Philharmonik shows up in the "playback devices" setup screen (11:36 in the video) then I am confused as to why you wouldn't be able to select it and activate it by clicking on it with your mouse. I'm sorry I couldn't offer any more help, good luck!

+zoran jerkovic Under the Playback devices setup, look at the configuration box, showing General MIDI (Basic). Now click on "New" to create new configuration. Name it anything you want if you like. Once that's done, the configuration box will show the newly created protocl and your VSTs/AU/AAX will be available

Miroslav si funciona en windows 7 64bit pero Miroslav es 32bit. Yo estoy usando Miroslav con Windows 7 64bit sin problemas pero no conosco presonus y no estoy seguro si son compatibles.
