      Jazak Allah khair. I have a question, is this also depend on the difference in qirat? Bcz we can recite quran in several different qirats and sometimes aeraf also gets changed

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@arhamabdaal9205 Welcome brother, wa Jazak .. Symbols in the Holy Quran do NOT depend on the ten qira'at. Where you should/ must stop for example, remains the same across the board. Other things actually do change like, for instance, madd (lengthening sounds) - which I recently posted a video about. Madd DOES change between qira'aat, and I am using Hafs, which is the most common one.

      You are absolutely correct, I just used alif as an example, in this video, I elaborate on this topic even more: th-cam.com/video/Q737ZCSbC_g/w-d-xo.html

      You are totally right and it was better to use another letter for a better explanation so people don't get confused (as happened to me) and use it with "Alif"only.
      I hit like so viewers can read your comment.

      The Qur'anic language cannot equate to the Arabic language, although Arabic letters are used. The Arabic language, do not have have the silent letters
      Alif (ا‎/Omnipotent),
      Waw (و/Omnipresent),
      Laam (ل/Omniscient),

    Great video! I just have some questions, i am learning arabic, but i dont understand why for example in that 2nd miim symbol it makes the 2 letters into a meem, why doesn't it just have a mim to begin with? And do i always have to perform the sujood even when reading the mushaf or reciting the Qur'an or is it just sunnah? Have a blessed ramadan!

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thank you very much for your support, brother. Here are the answers to your great questions:
      1) The miim exists only because of "assimilation" which is blending two sounds in one sound. So we are not actually "adding" a miim, but rather, it is an inevitable product when noon is followed by baa'. So when you say (Ten Points) in English, you will NOT say ten [pause] points, but you'll say it one word after the other. And when say ten then follow it with points your lips already take shape to say /p/ while you're still partially in position of /n/ from ten, so the result is that you'll hear yourself saying something similar to tempoints [tɛmpɔɪnts]. Same case exactly.
      2) Why not miim to begin with? because these are two separate words and the miim is merely is product of blending of two sounds and that you should have the freedom to use them with other words as well. So referring to the previous example, I am free to say (ten Steps) in stead of (ten points) and in this case it would be wrong to say (tem steps).
      3) Performing sujood while reciting is NOT mandatory, which means that it is not a sin not to do. However, it is a (sunnah mu'akddah) سنة مؤكدة which refers to something the prophet almost NEVER ignored it, and so, neither should you. Still, not a sin if not done. Khalifaat Ummar actually skipped it once. And so, if you are at home, you should definitely do it, if you are at work, you could wait till you get home and do it at your comfort.
      Hope this answers your questions, and keep these questions coming ;)
      May Allah accept the best from us all.
      asslamo alikom
