This is exactly what I need in my backyard...my own banana grove! Otis would certainly think he was in banana heaven them...he has one a day!! How great is that! Bruce and Otis
What a beautiful bunch of bananas! I didn't know they grew so lush in Australia. The method for harvesting them is also interesting. I wish you a merry Christmas Morelia 🎄
❤ Today at dawn we had -16 degrees Celsius. Now it's snowing lightly, it's beautiful and frosty. Frosty, dry air is healthy for your lungs. let's enjoy every day of life, my friend. Happy New Year!
This banana variety is a very tall plant variety. Interesting to see how you tie the knots to harvest this bunch of bananas. So that you can carefully lower the bunch to ground.
@@MoreliaAustralia Yes we do have several tall banana cultivars. The tallest so far we have grown in the past, which we called pisang nipah /pisang abu. Good for banana fritters, steam or fried chips.
Obviously tasty bananas. Here in Germany, we can grow only the winter hardy Japanese Musa basjoo species, producing only very small fruits that often do not ripen before frost. However, since >15 years the plants survive actually the winters at our garden and grow 4-5 m high too. A feast for the eyes in summer. Best regards from Weil am Rhein.
I just saw your banana and snow and hail video again. Your banana plants look so tropical in summer and I like your technique for helping them survive the winter frost. I also looked up Weil am Rhein. It's a very nice part of Germany. When you were in Australia in 1991 and you drove from Sydney to QLD you would have driven close to my place near Ballina in northern NSW. All the best from Morelia Australia.
Hi my friend, lovely to see the banana bunches and your harvesting technique 🍌🌴🚶♀️👍!! Interesting to see that the banana plants can shelter wildlife 🐸 🕷️ ✅ ! All the best for 2024 🎆 🥂 ! Cheers, Don 🙋♂️ !
Las Islas Canarias deben ser un lugar tropical. Vivo en una parte cálida del mundo y cultivo muchas frutas tropicales. Saludos cordiales desde Australia.

A tropical fruit forest would be wonderful in your chilly part of the world.

It does require a certain technique to remove a bunch of bananas from the tree. I liked that you showed this.👍
