You should just start the journey. This video is enough to make you want to get back to this part of the story... and it is a long way away from the start of DBZ. I will recommend that you find the best trimmed version of DBZ there was pacing issues to say the least. Also, DBS anime is about to start up again so maybe line it up so you're caught up when it airs.
Not spoil anymore. Watch OG Dragonball. Then dragonball Z, then dragonball super. Movies and gt are non cannon, but watch and see it as alternative story/timeline
I would recommend starting with the original Dragon Ball and then moving on to Z and finally Super. I made the mistake of jumping straight into Super, watching Ultra Instinct first, and then going back to DBZ, so I got spoiled too much. So yeah, I would say start at the very beginning and dive deep into the story.

I've seen it multiple times but my most recent attempt to rewatch I gave up because the pacing is so bad. (I own the original release on DVD) Also the transformations aren't as cool once you know what they eventually achieve.

Hands down the best way to watch the series. I luckily grew up watching DB and Z and GT and it hurts to see these blind reactions cause you ruined so much potential. When super was announced my HYPE was INSANE. I got to watch characters I grew up with in my favorite universe grow even more. people are wrong when they say that original dragon ball "isn't necessary" or "isn't as good" its all just dragon ball, its just that the first 10-12 ep of dragon ball are very comedy focused but it gets into martial arts and fighting right after that. if you watched the last episode of dragon ball then the first episode or dragon ball z you wouldn't be able to notice the difference.
Dbz is goatet but still start with db classic to get build up with the story line.. i really enjoyd it starting with classic and watching the movies in the right order

It's always amazing to me when someone unfamiliar with any show watches the later on stuff and feels confused, but excited. Just remember that it builds up to this stuff and the beginning might seem lacking in comparison.
You can do what you like, honestly I think Dragon Ball is way better than Z, and Z is actually lifted up by being a continuation of DB rather than a starting point. The fight scenes in DB are more raw too, less flying and beams, more well animated martial arts! But DB doesn't get into it's real serious Z-type plots until after 100 episodes. Most of us started with Z, it ain't a problem to do that if you wanna jump right into planet destroying levels of power
Watching the original Dragon Ball is a fun experience, but its also very aged and doesn't even hold a candle to modern anime (besides the story). If you wanted to get into the Dragon Ball universe, I would simply recommend Dragon Ball Z Kai ("Kai" is basically the Dragon Ball Z series with the filler removed, making it easier to get through the best parts of the story without the drawn out stare-down episodes and other silly filler) so you can make your way to Dragon Ball Super quickly while still getting an amazing experience. The anime is epic, heartwarming, and has so many moments that make the hair on your arm stand up from how epic everything is. I hope you really enjoyed this man! Thanks for the upload!

It was a bit abrupt that you started watching it from this point in the story but it's not bad. Just keep in mind that if you start watching Dragon Ball from scratch you won't see this level but you will have a lot of spectacle throughout the anime, so start watching it and upload the reactions to your channel please.
Why would you do this? "Hey guys I read the first 2 chapters of a book and now I'm ready to skip to the final chapter!" The whole point of dragonball Z is BUILDUP. You get to see them training, you see them get beat down, you think it's all over .. about 5 times, and THEN BAM! New transformation that you've been waiting 30 episodes to see. Skipping to the end is just missing the whole point. You just ruined the entire show for yourself. Yeah you can skip dragonball and go right to Z but to skip dragonball and go right to the latest and greatest? Everything you watch in dragonball Z will be LESS epic than this.

What i like about ultra instinct is something only martial artists might know, its actually a real thing obviously exagerrated. Some martial artists might know the term "Sen sen no sen" hard to explain but basicly means that you felt the opponent was going to attack and you anticipated with your own attack. Other terms that are interesting to know/google are Sen no Sen (tempt or provoque causing an attack and attack back), Go no Sen (counter + counterattack), Tai no Sen (attacking back during attack and avoid it), ken no sen (basicly you attack first). Sen sen no sen is achieved after you're really skilled . Put in other words its like having a 6th sense, predicting your opponent + already reacting on whats going to happen (very skilled in reading your opponents). So obviously they took inspiration of real martial arts for this, its easier to demonstrate these terms than to explain in words so feel free to look them up :)

This was even more hype in the original Japanese version. Listening to Masako Nozawa (the 80+ year old lady that does the voice of Goku in Japan) go ham in the OG version is pure fire. She actually has this primal energy that blows away Sean Schemmel (the English voice for Goku). If you ever decide to react to the second instance of Ultra Instinct, maybe give a go at trying the original Japanese audio with English subtitles to see what I'm talking about.

Let me first start by saying don't let anyone (especially the anime purest) dictate how to watch the Dragonball anime franchise. Watch it how ever you want even though it's highly recommend to watch the Dragonball anime franchise from the very beginning when Goku was a kid if you wish to get a better understanding of what's going on in the storyline and the characters. The Goku Vs Jiren fight was so popular and epic that there were crowds of people watching it on the streets cheering as if they are watching a championship bout.

That red glow aura over blue was Kaioken it was a technique that multiplies your current power as many times as you want but for the series goku use it x4 to x20 but it easily drains your Ki and energy
I only watched the OG dragonball here and there. I kinda had a general backstory before getting heavily into Dbz with Toonami back in the early 2000s. You can easily jump in with Z, but I'd suggest just getting through dragonball then do Z and then Super or GT (which isn't cannon but still cool imo).
Trust me when I tell you this. Watch everything in the correct order. Do not make the mistake most people make and start with Z. Everything makes soooooooo much more sense when you start from the beginning.

Dude, please, please start with Dragonball Z and make sure it's Toonami's Dub. Its what we grew up with here in the States and actually opened the door to Anime here. Hell even my subs from middle school found time to talk about the show and do some predictions off of what they felt was four shadowing. Amazing times all because of that show and Mr. Toriyama's imagination 🙌

Gonna say dont skip to Z, the manga isnt segmented like that, they're the same series, youre saying you wanna open the book in the middle and then go back, it wont be as enjoyable like that, even Z episode 1 relies on DB knowledge to make sense

Let me first start by saying don't let anyone (especially the anime purest) dictate how to watch the Dragonball anime franchise. Watch it how ever you want even though it's highly recommend to watch the Dragonball anime franchise from the very beginning when Goku was a kid if you wish to get a better understanding of what's going on in the storyline and the characters. The Goku Vs Jiren fight was so popular and epic that there were crowds of people watching it on the streets cheering as if they are watching a championship bout.

I only watched the OG dragonball here and there. I kinda had a general backstory before getting heavily into Dbz with Toonami back in the early 2000s. You can easily jump in with Z, but I'd suggest just getting through dragonball then do Z and then Super or GT (which isn't cannon but still cool imo).
Don't rob yourself of a better DBZ experience! Watch OG, even if you only post videos on major plot events, and then DBZ. You WON'T regret it!

Bro word of advice from someone who grew up with Dragon Ball Please start with OG Dragon ball, its soo important to start from the beginning to know everything and honestly its my favorite series, I wish I could've but Growing Up in the U.S they showed DBZ first, Dont listen to those "Dont watch Filler" people Filler in DB is soo important, it sometimes introduces Main Characters or very important characters for later
You do need to watch Z through to Super so you understand all the forms. Kyo Ken was from the Saiyan saga in Z.
The Clown is one of the Destroyer Gods (you can notice them with their collars, they all wear it with variation of colors), just like Beerus (the naked cat...the thin one) they can eradicate any mortal (and some gods) being with ease...And no i have no bloody idea what their reasoning was behind making him a balding clown, maybe they thought it was funny, like One Piece whole M.O is having Bizarre looking characters.

Dragon ball is echt een super anime. Raad het zeker aan om gewoon bij Z of Z Kai te starten (Z Kai is een remastered versie van DBZ. Zonder de filler episodes). Dragon Ball Super is ook echt amazing!

Gonna say dont skip to Z, the manga isnt segmented like that, they're the same series, youre saying you wanna open the book in the middle and then go back, it wont be as enjoyable like that, even Z episode 1 relies on DB knowledge to make sense
