I've first experienced the anime this way and I can't say it's a flawed masterpiece, really liked his artstyle and strong atmosphere. In the first half of it, it has some brilliant suspense moments in Teresa's final arc before getting beaten. The animation was pretty good at times with strong poses and camera work, pretty shocking for its time, not even talking about the banger soundtrack. As flawed as the adaptation is, overall Claymore is better than most anime released in the last year. I can see clearly when it went full anime original and the writing started being bad, but will check the manga for sure, it sure is a great fantasy story. Maybe it will get a full adaptation by a passionate production team at a good studio. I think it deserves better than an unfinished anime. The anime landscape is so crowded with low quality isekai fantasies that it needs more good classic fantasies like Claimore. But it better not get CGI like they did with Berserk 2016.
Bought the entire manga collection a few years ago. I think claymore was unique, it had some elements from berserk (which i really like) as well as something refreshing and different. This anime/manga handled badass strong females perfectly, calm but strong and nothing felt forced. The art design on certain characters is just incredible(especially in the manga) and it went full speed during the second half of the manga with me constantly wanting to read more. If only a big quality studio could remake it, that would've been a dream come true.

This show really needs a remake holy fuck. Even in its current form it surpasses many animes. I feel bad, because it suffered from a good conclusion like Hellsing or FMA. But Hellsing and FMA were revived with the Ultimate series and Brotherhood. I can guarantee a remade Claymore would be warmly welcomed by both fans and the public. That said, the OST of Claymore fucking nailed it.

Claymore by very nature the anime being changed from the manga to give the anime closure, means no sequel is coming - a shame. I don't want a "remake" as with Hellsing. Akame ga kill is Claymore in certain respects.

Christian Felix Vampire Knight is more of an anime that caters towards girls. But it wasn't that bad. Code Geass is in my opinion the best anime I've seen so far. I saw it 4 years ago... Though it is an anime that you either really like or really hate.

What I love about claymore is there is no fanservice, no unnecessary scenes of making the girls look cute or attractive. The girls take their job really seriously and are very professional about it. Claymore does a really good job of showing how powerful and strong women can be and I haven't seen another anime do it better.
I love the manga. I tried to search videos of the exclusive fights. This song fits Galatea vs Miata and the #2 awaken being Agatha in the manga when the organization sent Clarice and Miata after Galatea. And we have Clare and the seven Ghosts came in and help kill Agatha. Also, I want to see the exclusive storyline of how Hestaria The Elegance was killed during Teresa, Ileana, and Rosemary’s era.
Of course, I thought she was hecka cool. From when she first appeared in the anime, I liked that cold side of her to when she died. I knew she was going to die, but how she died wasn't expected.

Guys I can't believe 2017 marks a decade after its release. Thank you for the fond memories, I was totally obsessed with this during my university years. I've decided to revisit the anime a few days ago. No regrets indeed. Still as good as gold. Many scenes are still as heartbreaking/shocking as ever. I've also just placed an order for the complete Manga set. Can't wait to devour it!
Read the Manga, They will Never bring it back because of the way the Anime broke off and had its own "ending". Although if they did Bring it back it wouldn't follow the manga and would be complete and utter shit.
It's current ending is shit in anime. There was a lot of cutoffs from the manga, especially that part where they were supposed to be sacrificed. The manga comeback was so satisfying goddamn.

Woah, am I the only one in the whole comment section who didn't like neither the endings? The anime ending was eh, it completely destroyed the original plot... Maybe they wanted to hook people up so the manga'd have sold more, but it didn't work. I think I hate the manga ending a little bit less, but, hey, you gotta admit the Final Arc was messy. A lot of wonderful characters were presented and, just a few pages later, they died. I won't comment about Teresa's appearance. I feel like Yagi really wanted to end Claymore.

Émile Only character I liked was Pixis, and maybe Eren's faher, who happened to get the least screentime because every fucking scene except the best one needed to be stretched out to the fucking moon. Only redeeming quality of that anime in my opinion is that scene where Eren as a kid KILLS bandits to save mikasa and the opening. The rest can fuck itself in the trashbin, I hope the titans eat them all. I would give the anime a 4 out of 10 because the opening is so good that it makes the anime look worse than it already is... I could rant on and on and on about this... But in the end it's all opinion based. I'm at least glad that the writer from Code Geass is now involved in their new anime Kabenari of the Iron Fortress because that gives me some hope that it'll actually be worth the watch. No sure how the director of Death Note could sink so low with AoT.
Never seen this show but I’ve heard this song probably a hundred times throughout the last decade and thought it sounded more like a really cool insert song to a climactic episode of some kind of shonen anime. This could be like the do or die fight song.
Til this day I still don't know why Claymore did come back for the 2nd season or got reboot. It's based on a fantastic source material, have great Lore and world building, great action, great characters, great foundation for art direction and most importantly (for today's Anime industry anyway) tons of Chicks. If Madhouse decided to make a Claymore Ultimate, I will watch the shit out of it.
Soleil Quiles That was impossible at the time this was being made, it was not far from where the actual manga was in terms of releases when they made an original ending for the anime. They did not have a choice, the same happened with the original Full Metal Alchemist anime.
I don't think I ever realized how similar Claymores are to Witchers. I don't know if there was any direct inspiration from the Witcher series to Claymore, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was. Both really good.

Guys I can't believe 2017 marks a decade after its release. Thank you for the fond memories, I was totally obsessed with this during my university years. I've decided to revisit the anime a few days ago. No regrets indeed. Still as good as gold. Many scenes are still as heartbreaking/shocking as ever. I've also just placed an order for the complete Manga set. Can't wait to devour it!
I seem to really enjoy all these dark fantasy/horror animes like Berserk, Claymore. Hellsing, etc.

It's current ending is shit in anime. There was a lot of cutoffs from the manga, especially that part where they were supposed to be sacrificed. The manga comeback was so satisfying goddamn.

As we know, it didn't actually "end" there, sadly the anime simply didn't sell enough copies to be continued. I'd have loved to see Teresa in action, melting Pricilla to bits.
Woah, am I the only one in the whole comment section who didn't like neither the endings? The anime ending was eh, it completely destroyed the original plot... Maybe they wanted to hook people up so the manga'd have sold more, but it didn't work. I think I hate the manga ending a little bit less, but, hey, you gotta admit the Final Arc was messy. A lot of wonderful characters were presented and, just a few pages later, they died. I won't comment about Teresa's appearance. I feel like Yagi really wanted to end Claymore.

The opening to Claymore really surprised me. When a girl songs in an anime, it's usually with a high pitched voice, but this one was just perfect.

If they redo the show please use the old animation and voice actors of every character and I love how they used the Celtic theme from the swords and armor to the ending and opening
The nostalgia feeling of 2007 ED and OP too, even I didn't watch it but the feeling and the animation is so 2000~2010s. I already in love with this anime and I watchd 8 episodes only.

love claymore, both manga and anime ^^ it's like the only decent shounen anime with women as protagonists that is really good and doesn't make them look like crybabies (yes sakura, orihime i'm talking to you)

oh yeah AoT was good cause of Mikasa, Levi etc. Eren is the generic whack shounen character with an angsty past who'll save everyone at the end
Émile Only character I liked was Pixis, and maybe Eren's faher, who happened to get the least screentime because every fucking scene except the best one needed to be stretched out to the fucking moon.
Only redeeming quality of that anime in my opinion is that scene where Eren as a kid KILLS bandits to save mikasa and the opening. The rest can fuck itself in the trashbin, I hope the titans eat them all.
I would give the anime a 4 out of 10 because the opening is so good that it makes the anime look worse than it already is...
I could rant on and on and on about this... But in the end it's all opinion based.
I'm at least glad that the writer from Code Geass is now involved in their new anime Kabenari of the Iron Fortress because that gives me some hope that it'll actually be worth the watch.
No sure how the director of Death Note could sink so low with AoT.

Never seen this show but I’ve heard this song probably a hundred times throughout the last decade and thought it sounded more like a really cool insert song to a climactic episode of some kind of shonen anime. This could be like the do or die fight song.

Til this day I still don't know why Claymore did come back for the 2nd season or got reboot. It's based on a fantastic source material, have great Lore and world building, great action, great characters, great foundation for art direction and most importantly (for today's Anime industry anyway) tons of Chicks. If Madhouse decided to make a Claymore Ultimate, I will watch the shit out of it.

Soleil Quiles That was impossible at the time this was being made, it was not far from where the actual manga was in terms of releases when they made an original ending for the anime.
They did not have a choice, the same happened with the original Full Metal Alchemist anime.

I don't think I ever realized how similar Claymores are to Witchers. I don't know if there was any direct inspiration from the Witcher series to Claymore, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was. Both really good.
