I first watched this anime in 2013, and while I have since then grown to dislike some aspects of it, the openings and endings will forever hold a special place in my heart
When I watched this i was an avid kanameXyuki fan but as i read the manga i began to dislike her more and more, but i grew to love kaname more. I don't think kanamexyuki was the best couple but kaname as a character was amazing, i loved him! zeroxyuki makes a lot of sense - but i just never liked the main character so i didn't think she deserved either one haha, but this show was seriously amazing and the soundtrack is probably the most memorable and unique of all the anime i have watched! :)
I don't like her too. Yuki can't decide and determine who she wants&loves the most between zero and kaname. Juri is loved by kaien and haruka but she could choose and love haruka only. Ai so far still loves only zero. So I think yuki is the worst kuran princess. She trapped kaname and zero for herself.
Just got me thinking what if they remake vampire Knight ? The new animation and maybe little plot twist would sound so awesome especially if Yuki personality change alittle the anime would be fantastic and all...

So Kaname's daughter was probably born a few years before Zero's son was born. And then in page 49, Zero's son says, "this is a message from my mother to my other father." Notice how he didn't say, our other father. Just look at the picture on manga chapter 93, pg. 49. You have to notice the resemblance.
I've read some of the manga (not all of it just to volume 17) and I don't hate Kaname as much as I did when I saw the Vampire Knight Guilty ending. But Zero will always be my fav!
The kuran really made it weird with the whole incest and baby slaughter thing. Since Newborn(real) Kaname was killed by his Uncle by sacrificing him, and Juri and Haruka made another Baby(yukig to compensate for their lost offspring but still holy shiet.. The incest thing is definitely gross, i mean even the other full blooded vampires are their full cousins
I love these songs a lot, they fit the anime and the manga so well. also Zero x Yuki my fave. I know there is some complaints about the anime and how it ended but if you read the manga and it's sequal, Vampire Knight Memories (books showing what happened during the 1000 yrs kaname was asleep from the end of the original manga), it is so very good and I love it, the manga goes far past where the anime ended and explains more stuff and so does the sequal, they're both really good and worth reading (be prepared for some tears in the sequal, cause some really heart-wrenching stuff happens).
I'm so obsessed with this anime way back. And keep coming back, for the feels lol. Im only 12 the day I found this and now I'm 20 hahaha I haven't read the manga yet but I know what happened. I don't know, I just cant? Haha

The animes end was like "What?! Why do you stop at this point?! There so much more potential for the story and all those charakters! 😱😓" Then I grabbed the manga. There must have been more! And I was right ^^ Some details are different and the end of the anime changes. Buuut: These soundtracks are great, espacially the endings!

Does anyone else absolutely adore this anime because it was one of their first anime's but would probably be disgusted or disturbed if they found one with a similar plot in a current anime they watched?
From a guy's perspective, it's actually a pretty good show. I mean I know the target demographic is female 16-25 (not disrespecting). But if they had adjusted yuki's character personality wise, I could've definitely gotten more into it. I personally like this style of anime vampire. Though I prefer it a little more towards the "hellsing" style. IMO, the biggest problem with the show was yuki's personality.. I just found it annoying. Not exactly the most "put together" and "thought out" review but my final verdict is a solid 6.5/10 MAYBE a 7

I've had this anime on my playlist since 2009 LOL good stuff though watched the anime and loved it.
Does anyone else absolutely adore this anime because it was one of their first anime's but would probably be disgusted or disturbed if they found one with a similar plot in a current anime they watched?
From a guy's perspective, it's actually a pretty good show. I mean I know the target demographic is female 16-25 (not disrespecting). But if they had adjusted yuki's character personality wise, I could've definitely gotten more into it. I personally like this style of anime vampire. Though I prefer it a little more towards the "hellsing" style. IMO, the biggest problem with the show was yuki's personality.. I just found it annoying.
Not exactly the most "put together" and "thought out" review but my final verdict is a solid 6.5/10 MAYBE a 7
