Somone plz do a remake for umineko. Animation doesnt even need to be crazy. Its a psychological series. It needs at least 30 anime episodes per VN episode. Then it will be a good adaptation.
+Karou The only soundtrack that really hurts my ears everytime I listen to it is "Die Hasen" from the Black Butler soundtrack. It´s like they didn´t even try to get it right. But in the end I still like it.

I honestly felt the same as you, but believe me, you'll enjoy the roller coaster ride of mysteries, magic, and of course, the horror. The time spent reading is worth the wait.;)
It's the middle of the night, I randomly found this vid and was suddenly overwhelmed with a need to rant about Umineko because of course, there is fucking nothing else I should be doing right now. Some indirect spoilers ahead, I guess. Anyway, I binged the manga somewhat recently; the VN was beginning to feel repetitive, so I followed the rec I found on this very section some time ago and, well... it's been so long since I was so much conflicted over something. First of all, because of changing artists, the manga's design is very uneven. With some I fell in love on the first sight, some grew on me throughout until I loved them too, some just were here. Funny how I remember the sharp style from the fifth chapter the most even though from artistical standpoint I liked the ch. 3 design more. It was an experience in itself: if you ever liked something that you later come to know to be unilaterally recognized as a thing of a great value, you'll understand. Back on the track. I sincerely feel that the first three chapters were the peak of Umineko as it was first presented to us. Looking back, I believe that the big wtf moment in the end of the third arc (you all know, it's _that_ moment) was the absolute best in all series. Consequent chapters had had similar moments of glory, however, the further I went, the less I understood the general frame in which I should perceive the plot. Sound rationale that was driving the plot now was faltering while failing to give something of equal value. In the end I gave up and just accepted the new plot logic that came from seemingly nowhere, hoping later it would make at least some sense. Guess what, it fucking did. It was too late though. On the sixth arc I decided it was time to speed up the plot and just read the summary. After experiencing a certain profound feeling I read the final chapter of the last arc and asked myself: _why?_ Just... just why? Why must it end like this? Why have you left me, fantasy? Why everything that had happened should result in something like this? I've got my perfectly rational explanation but how dearly I wish I didn't. In the end, I got at least some good things from this adventure. First, I came to love Sayaka Ohara and Daisuke Ono. They've given a top-tier performance that was unbelievable to listen to. I also got to hear a serious Yukari Tamura which is rare and amazing. Second, I've seen many scenes that are hard to describe just with words, but when I think about how Rosa defended her daughter while wielding the gun or the final scene of the fourth arc, I know these are moments to remember. And finally, I've seen the metaphorical giant pyrrhic victory of Battler as he was in the beginning and maybe learnt something from it. Its tremendous price makes me question its worth, but maybe it's the reason in itself. I don't know what, but I'm sure it's something important. You've made it to the end! Thank you for reading this wall of text: it seems this was boiling inside of me all this time. If this was interesting enough, that'd make me glad.
personally (went vn all the way) I liked chiru much more than the first 4 chapters. The expansion of the meta world made it much more exciting and the whole thematic of "love", while hinted in ch4, finally had its long awaited explaination in the last two chapters. Ange, who pretty much had the most annoying (for me) scenes suddenly became a great character in the last chapter and basically while it had some lows (ch4 end), the whole vn was a wonderful experience.
Guess we're looking at it from different angles. *spoilers* I guess the thing that disapponted me the most was the ending and the whole point of proving that magic doesn't exist. But how Battler decided to change sides was a mystery to me. The whole premise was how he was trying to win in a death game where his and his family lives were at stake. Then the theme began shifting to how he was falling in love with his opponent and finally how they, together, tried to oppose external enemy forces. While I find the idea itself intriguing, I have very big questions for its execution because if you look at this critically, you'll see that Battler gradually casts off his humanity by changing priorities from saving his family to winning the game and then to falling in love with the witch. He forgets what is at stake, losing himself in the grand game with the most dangerous adversary of his life and becomes what Kinzo was, the man possessed by the desire to make his wish come true. Just like knight becomes the dragon after killing one, so is Battler declares Kinzo to be dead to take his place instead. Except he's the protagonist. He's supposed to be the antipode to the witches' machinations, the indomitable will that will crush the opposition and won't stop before anything to save his family. Isn't his fall goes against every canon? The thing is, as I come to think, umineko is not that kind of story. And while Battler is the protagonist, he wasn't supposed to be good protagonist; his tale is that of a good man seduced by passion. Ange's first appearance signified him stepping away from his path as she began to represent moral values that he eventually lost.
This song makes me wonder who I really am, but also illuminates the road i'm traversing on, so that I know my life is not in vain and i'm still alive. As if magic was real, and my soul never dying flame. Whispers asking me to look forward and continue onward with my story which is also called life... In other words its quite motivating. :3
AmaneKun but how can he deny something that is happening? He even used something like magic himself. All those red and blue texts were magic but he still denied it! WTF?

This is one of those anime that you never seen but the opening is epic.
Fandom in a nutshell:
90% This anime was terrible.
8% It's not terrible because it never existed , Umineko DON'T have an anime.
2% This anime wasn't that bad, actually, It's quite nice.
More like 98% on the terrible part but your comment is still accurate
As an anime (haven't played the game YET), it wasn't terrible. Weird AF, more like.
@@Tounushi The game is great and worth a play if you have the time
That's why Anime Industry nowadays Changing drastically Because Fan Like That. Only Talk Like SMARTASS When actually Just an Asssss.
@@Tounushi
Agree
I chose to view the anime as an OVA. A bonus to see some scenes animated, but not a solid story on it's own.
Funny... That's my view on Fate/Stay Night as a whole. I haven't watched Umineko, so I'll probably read it instead. Only problem there is that I'll want to also read all of Higurashi first, to see how different it is from the anime, and then read Umineko
Umineko and Higurashi have no coralation with each other, they are made by the same author though. The Umineko manga is really pretty and I recommend it
+Otaku Plus actually both novels are related.
Really? I didn't know that! Cool! :)
Umineko makes references to Higurashi, and the relationship between Bernkastel and Rika is questionable.
I never watched the anime but i found this opening and then forgot about the name. I searched for it for seven years and finally i found it ❤. This song is a masterpiece
**prays for remake because Higurashi is doing good so far**
@Youcantfindme l it isn't! And it's actually quite amazing
@@donnamitsuki281 The fact that it's not a remake makes it even more likely for Umineko to have a remake, funnily enough, but maybe Kikonia will have an anime first?
@@kitsunami7251ciconia is very farther away from a finished story, adapting umineko episode per episode as seasons would be golden like the witch herself
@@kitsunami7251 Ciconia is an unfinished prequel to original Higurashi so likely not.
We can hope. Also the new Higurashi isn't a remake it's a sequel .
While the openings from Higurashi are like "Creep the hell out of the audience" this is more like "Right in ya faces".
The second opening from Higurashi wasn't as spooky, tbh
@@Emily8468 Yeah, not sure what OP is all about. Naraku no Hana reflects a state of emergency, it tells you we're getting close to the climax of this story but it won't be easy for the end to be a happy one. It asks the characters to stay strong and keep trying no matter what.
@ArmyAntAdam Hell is not 'Naraku no hana', it's just 'Naraku'. It's the way the Japanese call the Naraka, the Buddhist hell.
With Higurashi, there's a clear progression:
Anxiety -> Desperation -> Determination.... -> Diabetes.
This one's blatant power, and the emphasis of the audience's (and the family's) powerlessness.
this opening is freaking amazing, its make me feel good, this voice is so sweat
fans: we want a second season for umineko
ryuukishi07: best i can do is a remake/sequel of higurashi
For a second season to exist we need the first season first.
@@AcencialAMV yes
no one wants a second season of umineko anime, just read the vn or manga
@@lunastie39 I mean we’d rather have a good first season before getting a second season.
What, you're not happy to get umineko's prequel?
The umineko fandom is so tiny that most of us have a Bern or an og design Beatrice profile picture, lol
You know lately I’ve been feeling like it’s way bigger than it seems, especially with ciconia!
@@shymyn yeah, probably many people read it because of gou's cross-over, OH DESIRE
Yes
@@shymyn Honestly, I think Umineko is actually quite big in theory. I feel like quite a lot of people did read it, but as time goes on people just start moving on to other series and only few stick around. Tho I would agree that Gou and Ciconia re-vitalized the fandom.
@@Assassin559971 the thing I notice is that most people within the higurashi fanbase are more like r07 fans opposed to fans of JUST higurashi, which makes umineko feel bigger because it’s usually the most talked about r07 story amongst those fans - even if their favorite is (usually ‘rashi) something different.
NOW THIS IS WHAT I FUCKING CALL AN OPENING
YOU HEAR THAT FUCKING CHORUS AT THE START?
AMEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS
i love the song, but i also love the pictures in the video, truly amazing :)))
Such a beautiful opening...
Epic intro music
It had potential... But it was too fast, too lacking on story and details... I mean:
Even in higurashi one is able to draw similar conclusions as Rika did, but here? Battlers thesises seem off and the end was horrific.
Why was Maria close with Beatrice and why did Beatrice had a hard time to decide to kill her (except as EVA-Beateice)? What's her matter with Battler at all? And who are those people, dammit?
A wonderful and gripping VN for Visual Novel lovers, and an amazing Manga for mystery and thriller readers. Definitely recommend reading- even if the anime itself was cut short.
absolute banger
Anime: Terrible
Character Designs:Beautiful
Original Soundtrack: Amazing
I mean
The vn and the manga are great
This is my red reality:
Anime characters music : wonderful
Gothic character designs are damn amazing
The manga is beautiful
VN and manga are great, but for the animation are bad one, really bad one that you can call it trash 😅😅
Watched the anime which I enjoyed 😁 So now currently reading the manga, to find out what happens next and what was missed out 😁 Beatrice is everything 🙌🏻
The fact that this opening is better than the whole anime adaptation...

I always thought the same and when I finally started it took only 3 weeks to complete the question arcs
Its my favorite fictional thing and vn is waay better than the anime that while I played I felt like anime was just a spoiler
Good thing im still half way through answer arcs now i dont want it to end
I honestly felt the same as you, but believe me, you'll enjoy the roller coaster ride of mysteries, magic, and of course, the horror. The time spent reading is worth the wait.;)

Gay for Battler tbh.

*spoilers*
I guess the thing that disapponted me the most was the ending and the whole point of proving that magic doesn't exist.
The best part of the anime, TBH.
Lily Saintclaire Check the VN ..the anime is indeed badly made but the VN is on another level of well written.
When the opening is better than the anime adaptation.
I swear everyone sleeps on this op.
