The three mecha games of the snes era: Assault Suit Valken (Cybernator) Metal Warriors Front Mission: Gun Hazard Together, the three are the BEST mecha games of their generation. Though sadly only the first 2 were localized. The last, FM Gun Hazard is only available on emulation... ...and is by far the best since it is the other 2 games combined, plus a world map, shops and the full action RPG thing. Shame indeed, but worth the play.
Great job on the playthrough! that final boss fight was tense when you went down to practically no shields :D . I loved this game as a kid, and still do. I'm sad they took out the pictures during dialogue in the US version though. I think that really added something in the Japanese version.
Yes!! Finally found the name of this game!! god damn this brings back childhood memories when my neighbors let me borrow this game so I could play my first snes, great game will be looking to buy this soon 👌
I enjoyed this game too, for the short time I had with it. I rented it too at blockbuster video years ago.. starfox contra 3 super castelvania and super metriod are my favorites
I actaully got to the forth stage I remember destroying all those engines before that ship was going to fall towards the earth I holyshit man I had to avoids that guy attacks while saving the earth from impending doom
+2wMaliman I'm playing Assault Suits Valken right now, and as fas as I know the game isn't really censored, just (sadly) localizated to western audience. The distributor Konami (not Nintendo, they didn't have anything to do with this) took out character portraits and some dialogues, probably because they thought it was too animeish and text heavy for western children. The ending is also different, being the japanese longer. Localization and censorship are two different issues.
chriscj The game has two endings. The bad ending can be acquired if the player fails most of the side-missions in the game, such as failing to stop Arc Nova from falling or allowing the enemy space shuttle escape in the 5th mission. In this ending, the Versis is critically damaged and most of her crew are killed, including Claire, which leaves Jake devastated in the credits. If player succeeds on the side missions, the Versis survives and Jake returns to the carrier, the war is over and Jake and Claire embrace each other on the Versis' deck.
@@navyrayne I never new there was a bad ending, thanks for sharing! This (good) was the only ending my brother and I ever saw. Not that we were video game wizards, just that we always tried to do the missions how we thought was the correct way. Like... we just couldn't let Arc Nova crash into Earth, right?? :)
Excellent run. Always loved this game as a kid. You forgot the napalm weapon!!!
He didn't forget it mate, he is beyond the napalm
"metal warriors" looks so very much like this

What a stunning master piece why only one cybernator made?
This needs to be rereleased with the characters pics added back in AND the enemy's president cut-scene uncensored.
OH i remember this one. It was a beautiful and fun action game!
My favorite supernes gears games, music last stage is fantastic. Action no stop, laser carnage, big boss and music epic.
Un fan de Perú. saludos game 1993...

Ive started my First try on this game last month. God, what a nasty game dude. Really hard
brings back memories I can only get to the third level
So sad to hear it was overlooked. I got hooked on this game. Beat it too. I'd like to see what Nintendo censored out.
i did a playthrough of the uncensored version on my channel if you want to check it out.

Godly
42:03 spider be like
What a terrible choice back then to change the name into the most schlocky generic buzzwordy crap instead of keeping its charming original one.
Good ending? I'm pretty sure there was only one type of ending. Is there something I'm missing?
