oh my goodness girl, you had so much work to do for prep! You worked your butt off! those are the most satisfying projects though! Love how you reimagined this piece. And your color choices are always perfect! Thank you for hosting!
Nice Job! Sad I didn't see this challenge in time. Was glad to see you use products in this video that I have never tried. New Subscriber here. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. Mad City Modern (Madison, Wisconsin)
Love, love, love this upcycle, Amber!! Even though you went over a bit, you took this dresser over the top by adding the bottom pieces! It looks wayyy better!! 👏👏👏👏👏❤❤👍🏼👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much Darlene! I love this one as well. It matches my decor perfectly and I really don’t want to sell it but I don’t have any space for it. I need a bigger house! 😫
@@UniqueUpcycles ... Well, you'll be making millions soon with your work, and you can buy any house you want!! 😉❤❤ Can you sell something you already have, so that you can keep this one??
This was so well done, spiders and all. The color and changes are so well done and definite. Thank you for letting us into your reasoning. It has introduced me to another good artist. what a day or so of meeting the talent that is kind to each other in their own creations. See you next time you do a piece for a video.
I really appreciate you doing and showing all the prep work (thoroughly cleaning, gluing, filling, sanding, repairs); as far as I can tell, only a few of the people in this challenge did any of that. It looked like the majority just wiped the piece down (not everyone did even THAT much!!) and slapped on some paint and new hardware. Your work was very professional. 👍🏻
This turned out fantastic. The colour you chose and the draw pulls really made this look high end, one of the best transformations I’ve seen., just brilliant.❤️🇬🇧
The hardware and skirt replacement made a huge difference. Great staging tip too! I hope you didn't have to ruin a finish to figure it out. Very kind to save others from doing so.
Awesome job Amber! Completely changed the look of the piece into something so much better! Love your suggestion on putting pads on your staging items. We do this on all of our furniture, but never thought to use them on staging items!
I love love love that color! To bad it's being discontinued! I have been looking for that exact color! The apothecary dresser looks great! You did a fabulous job!
Great idea to remove that scalloped skirt, it almost looks like you could have "ripped it down" and reattached it? I didn't mind the simple little knobs, and I am sure that is what threw you over.
@@UniqueUpcycles I see what you mean now, it would have been just a little furring strip, not study enough, sorry it is hard to tell. I have this same 'colonial detail" on something and it just is the only thing that makes it so dated. I do understand why they went to all that trouble, but for 'modern' style it just looks cheap, good call! I have almost ALL of these same button knobs in cabinets, but I think they are style-less, classic almost, so they don't bother me at all. Not tic-toc, but in 10 years, they will look fine.
👏 Thank you thank you thank you so much for doing such a great collaboration! It introduces other channels and helps them to grow as well as gives the audience a clear understanding of what goes into flipping! I hope to one day have a flipping channel and be a part of something like this! Bravo for such a great idea! 👍👍
I love that color and the pulls you used! Maybe Melange will get enough people buying this after seeing yours they'll bring it back. How did you all decide who would be in the challenge?
Thank you! I did let them know that I’m getting a bunch of positive feedback on it so hopefully if they get enough custom orders for it they’ll bring it back on to the pallet. We just did word of mouth. Starting asking people we knew and they spread the word to others that they knew. It was pretty cool to literally have people from all over the world participating in it.
Thank you! It’s Duffle by Mélange. It’s currently a discontinued color but if you do want to order it you reach out to them via their website or Instagram and they’ll place a custom order for you. The only requirement for custom orders is that you have to purchase it in the quart size but you’re still eligible to use my discount code on it for the 10% off.😃
OMG….this is beautiful! Absolutely love the color. And, the work that went into that piece is a lot. All your hard work paid off. Amber, I need your brain. Quite awhile back, probably late winter? I don’t know. I believe it was you, working on a piece of furniture that was absolutely giving you trouble. You were tryin to take the furniture apart, but then you got so frustrated, you started swearing. Or, whatever. I think you called the furniture a piece id sh*t. WELL, I’m hoping it’s your video I’m remembering, because listening to you made me laugh so hard! It was the best video ever. Is what I’m remembering one of your videos? If it is, please point it out to me. I have been thinking about that because Nana here, needs to start laughing again! I need you guys!😘😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️NanaJanet❤️

Polyvine is definitely one of my favorites. I’ve used it on a few pieces in my home and it’s holding up with no issues.
