Oil Pan upgrade and a huge problem found and fixed on this old C3 Corvette.

We drop the oil pan on our C3 Corvette to upgrade it and the pump. Found the cause of those oil pressure problems and we are lucky there wasnt any real damage done to this sbc 383.

Yeah, not what I expected to find! Im definitely going to be there! Should have some new halfshafts so I wont be so timid on the launches.

Ive seen pick ups come off lots of times a lot of people put a tak weld on them to help keep them in

That's what I did, it broke the weld right off the cast of the pump.

FYI Put the oil pickup in the freezer for a time then install it. A lot easier. Could even warm(not heat) the oil pump.
