- In this video I head down to the beach late one afternoon to spin for some winter Tailor or Salmon. The session turns out a bit slow with just a couple of Salmon landed so I threw a bit of a 'Hail Mary' play in an attempt to turn the session from average to epic.

Been chasing salmon for about a month. Going up to port Mac soon and staying across from the beach so hopefully catch one.

When you get a tailor hit, slow your winding down because they will usually hit twice, when they are chasing bait the van hit first time to bite the “tail” off then the second time for the kill. I fish with halcos and when ever I miss a hit I just wait a sec and then they always hit a second time.
