- This scary night, I had a chance to film one more swamp in Pine Barrens known as the Devil’s Hairbrush. This swamp is surrounded with large stand of dead Atlantic White Cedar trees which in someone’s imagination must have looked like a giant hairbrush only a devil would use. The creepy flooded area with dead stands of cedar trees are known as Ghost Forest.
The wood of Atlantic White Cedar trees is hard and rot resistant. When these trees die, they will remain standing for many years. They lose their bark and that gives them a white ghostly appearance.
The Devil’s Hairbrush Swamp is located in the heart of Pasadena Wildlife Area, but the roads are very well maintained sand, and the area is easy accessible for cars and hikers.

I search and explore alone ghost towns, historic, abandoned, haunted places in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My explorations are based on local creepy legends and old maps research and aimed to discover something new in urban exploring.

Yet another location to add to my list of places to explore. Swamps and wetlands are unique and intriguing areas, especially at night!
Hello, Johnny! i'm thinking to sneak in the heart of the Ghost Forest. Must be a cool place to film inside. Just need to come up with way to do that safely. The place is really swampy, it's easy to drown
Nice one as always WC ! Carry on :-)
Thanks, Joe! I didn't expect to find the place so easy accessible. Thought the roads are flooded. Had plans to make a long night hike, but could reach the on the car
Probably water snakes making the waves 🎉i🎉
Hi, Dave! Beavers, i believe. I saw them in action on Ghost Lake. Sometimes, they splash with their tails, don't know why
Hairbrush,, sure is creepy looking. Thanks for sharing
Hi, Kris! Thank you! Thinking about Ghost Forest exploration. Not sure if that's possible
Darina, a Barrens place I don't believe I've been to. At least by that name. Thanks again for sharing 😊
Hello, Francis. Pine barrens, Pinelands or just The Pines. A big forest in South Jersey. Easy to hike, flat terrain, a few ghost town.
@@walkingcam1 Clarification on my part...just don't remember being to the Devil's Hairbrush before. Well versed in the Pine Barrens though. LoL
A beaver can make that noise with his tail, he is trying to scare you away.
Hi, Corinne! Afraid, he just fueled my interest in his person 😉
I just noticed how close to 3K subscribers you are D:))

Nothing to be proud of, honestly. 😥
Beware of the Pine Barrens Monster. 😱
Hi, Lyndon ! Never met anything unexplainable. But still hope.
Hi Darina! There are horrifying creatures that lurk in swamps. Always carry a bottle of vinegar to scare them away!

Idn't that up by forked river somewhere ?
Methinks it was where the old terra cotta place was !
Never heard of "devils hairbrush" back in my time exploring .
