Thank you so much - I would have been pulling my hair out trying to scan from the tiny menu on the printer not realizing I needed to download the Canon scanning utility! I love the printer but they don't have any product support.

Hi, So the rear paper tray does not feed. Brand new unit trying to figure it out. Can the rear paper tray be used for fax, copy and scan? Either way, the ADF in rear is not feeding paper. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Thanks
@@MrRoadtrek you have to have to have it hooked up to a phone line to do that . I didn’t bother using it as there on internet fax service on line I don’t recall the name of it but google it .. free fax . Hope this helps. Mc 🎄
I setup this printer thru the ij.canon.setup I believe it was called but don't have any of these options on my desktop and when scanning I have to use that little tiny screen on the printer. Is the software you use on that installation disc the printer came with? I'm asking first because I don't want to put in the disc and screw up the installation I already did. Thank you in sdvance
Well explained. I have a G7020. Had to use a USB connection because after a few years of service. The printer will not rec. my WiFi. I was able to send a file and print it but Scanning is a different ball game. The Printer is telling me that the printer is not connected. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
How to do this manually instead of using software is the trick. I can from from phone app but not loading in top tray and pressing black or white or color start to activate copy.

How do I switch from the rear paper? I mostly wand to Feed from lower front paper tray only.

You have to set the rear tray to feed .
Look in the printer 🖨️ software.

How do you get it to save to your desktop? Mine goes right into the IJ PDF editor.
Go to letter you are printing >file > PDF drop down > save as PDF

Look in applications folder if using a Mac 🖥️ or in windows where programs are loaded by default. Good luck 🍀

Lift top cover up and pull out slowly or open the back off the printer pull out slowly . Do not tear sheet.

Top Auto feed I have done up to 5 , print facing up .

Slip the paper 📄 in with type side up in right corner of automatic feed .

Follow the Manuel instructions that came with your printer 🖨️. There are no tricks .

The software that came with the printer 🖨 .. also you can use plug and play in windows or Mac to set it up .

I would like to scan, copy on both sides and print several copies.
Set to double sided printing an use the bottom tray .

Only bottom feed tray will scan front and back . Not top feed .
