Thank you! That sounds beautiful! The blanket was inspired by a patchwork bag I used to use for college but sadly lost. Feels like it’s going full circle if you make a bag! 💛
How do I go about making a border about the blanket ? Do I just do 3 stitches on each arch, what about the corners ? 1 on each? Or 2dctog? Thank you!!!!
I’m confused because once you add the border and there are 14 stitches it’s no longer divisible by 3, but if you go into stitch 3, 6, 9 and 12 you have two stitches left at the end. I was just skipping to the end instead of doing the last stitch in 12, but then the squares weren’t lining up evenly. I’m starting over but struggling. Thoughts? Sorry-newbie here! I so appreciate the video and this is by far the most elegant join method!
Hi! 👋 yes you are right, slip stitch into stitch 3,6,9 & 12 with two stitches to skip at the end before going into the corner. You should have 4 slip stitches along each edge. The slip stitch round will work for any square that has a stitch count along the edge that’s a multiple of 3 plus 2. If you made a 5 round granny square and added a round of (US) single crochets with the same corners we’ve used you could then slip stitch into 3,6,9,12 & 15, skipping the last 2 stitches giving you 5 slip stitches along each edge. And so on for any size granny square 😊 let me know how you get on 💛
Thanks for the feedback. It’s like anything, awkward and clumsy to begin with but the more I practice making videos the better they come out. I’m hoping to update this video in the summer 💛
I haven’t finished the blanket yet. I started it with scrap yarn and then ran out of the stone. I got some more earlier today though, when I finish it I’ll share the border 💛💛
@@SamanthaClairCrochet What you’ve done is so pretty! I tried figuring out a suitable edging to do with the chain 4s all the way around, and couldn’t come up with something. I am looking fwd to seeing how you finish the blanket!
Hi, thanks for your question. This is the only tutorial I have for it at the moment. I will write it out in the future but I don’t know when that will be I’m afraid 💛
I'm going to use this as my joining method for my throw - I love your work!
Thank you! Good luck with your throw, how far through are you? 💛
Beautiful way of joining the squares together. Going to give it a try on my cardigan I am working on. Thank you for this tutorial

Hard to see as you keep going off camera. Hard to follow but I love the way it looks.

How can I get the pattern for this flat border

How do you know where to place each square when joining?
I put them where I think they look good 😊 no rules 💛
Thank you ❤
I think I would like this join technique, but your work is not on camera a lot of the time. I can't see what you are doing a lot of the time.
Thanks for the feedback, I will update this video in the future 💛
