    I've also found some deals at Walmart from time to time which works out to less than Brinklink.

    Wow this is wise. I just bought some the ole fashion way and thought there has got to be a better way. Thank you for the great advice. I liked and subscribed to you for it. Now to order more plates and watch more of your videos😊

    Now I calculated it and here in Europe it is definitely not worth it. Still better to buy complete 60304 set.

      That is interesting how it can vary from market to market.

      This is very true. I guess it’s just a simple supply and demand. The one thing that I think helps keep supply up is that the road plates come in most city sets. So when parting out those sets they will be there and I think it is a Lego piece that has a relatively small other uses. But who knows. Thanks for watching.

      A lot of these Lego builders need more subs considering it's a hot thing supposedly. I agree though for sure

    So I was on bricklink. I'm new to lego. I wasn't really seeing any good deals on the plates. It still seems the better deal is getting the lego set with the lamps and street lights. What price point is good if buying in bulk?

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it has been a while since I bought them but when I made the video I think I paid about $1 a piece. I just checked bricklink and filtered it to US sellers with a min quantity of 20 and you are are right, there currently isn’t anything available that seem worth it. There are sellers with 1 or 2 that are a good deal, so if you are placing an order for other pieces you could add a few here and there. Hopefully it’s just a temporary issue with sellers not having inventory. Before I released the video there were only 466 pieces sold in 42 lots sold in Aug 2022. In the months after the video was released the pieces sold were as many as 3165 in 271 lost sold. I’m not saying my video did this as it could be a coincidence, but it may have had some impact on it.
      Sorry I guess you may need to buy the pack at this time if you need larger quantities.

    Are they still the Lego brand?

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are the same plates that come in the road packs. Many city sets come with the road plate and when bricklink sellers part out a set, that is one of the pieces they sell. So if all you need is the toad plate and not all the other things that come in the road plate set it works well to lower costs.

    That’s a great hack, thanks for the idea! I’m definitely gonna do that for my city

    can you provide a link to the bricklink page where you got this deal?

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have updated the description for the video to include the four main parts of the road pack. You can use that to search a deal on road plates based on your region and quantity. Good luck.

      With the cost of Lego, we will take any advantage we can right?

    Great deal! It is annoying how many extra ramps are given in those packs. We need more road and tiles.

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Couldn’t agree more. They are nice if you are connecting to the old road system or for kids playing. However for most AFOL I think they serve little to no purpose.

    • @ElectricianTS
      @ElectricianTS ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use the ramps as rooftops. I actually ran out of the ramps before the road plates. I use the road plates as platforms and baseplates for buildings. I still use the normal road plates.

    Great deal. Have you thought about lifting the road plates up some to meet up with the MILS plates

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that is part of the plan, I just haven’t got around to it. Probably once I finish mils plating the last few buildings I need to retrofit, I will get it done.

    If you ask me I think these new road plates are rubbish, as I won't purchase any sets with these fake baseplates.... I began purchasing Technic sets to replace my city/town sets. New baseplates 👎👎👎
