  • Hello out there! 👋🏽🌹 I have been wanting to play around with floral murrini for a while now. No better time than the present! 😂 This is the very first 3-D Flower Murrini that I have ever made. It is it not based on any actual flower but more of a fantasy flower…I figured that would be the best place to begin!
If you have been curious about or interested in making flower Murrini (and are not sure where to start)…. let’s dip our toes in together! 😃✨ Also, give yourself plenty of time, patience and glass, as this was a lengthy process! I will be honest when I say that I was slightly terrified of how large it was getting at the end…. So don’t panic if things get a bit bigger than you expect! 😂 I am working on a Carlisle Hell Cat torch that can produce a much larger flame, but this technique can be done on a smaller torch by scaling down the initial glass bundle! This murrini has 13 petals but will look just as good with half the amount.🌹✨
I hope you all enjoy this dive into floral Murrini! Thanks so much for joining me!
Cheers to you all my Friends- Robin 🌈✨👋🏽

Oh my goodness how brave you are. That was a LOT of glass! Can't wait to see the next installment, thank you Robin ❤⭐xx

Hello Clare! 🤗🌹 Thanks so much! I am so glad that I finally attempted this one! 💫 I haven’t had that much glass on a mandrel in a long time! I think the last time was making a big marble. 😂
Next time, I think I will make it a bit smaller with the petals going more towards the center… We will see! Hoping all is well in your neck of the woods! Cheers - Robin 🌈✨💫

Hello Babette! 🌹✨ Thanks so much! I appreciate your comment! 🙏🏽. This was fun to make and the repetition of the petals made it easier than I expected. It’s also given me some ideas for the future! Can’t wait to share!! ✨Cheers - Robin 🌈👋🏽

Great video and commentary Robin, with a sequel as well! 😃 Really nice to see a new technique, and thanks for the timeline updates, really helps in understanding how the technique develops, looking to seeing the murrini evolve into a bead 🤓

Hi Dan! 👋🏽🌹Thank you so much! It’s fun to do these 2 part demos. ✨ When I remember, I do like to say how long certain sequences take to complete….Especially since a lot of it is sped up. I’m glad you appreciate that! See you soon! Cheers - Robin ✨🌹✨

Hello Lena! 😃🌹 Thanks so much!! I really appreciate that! 🌹 I’m glad it worked out the way it did. I do hope you give this a try at some point…even on a smaller scale. ✨✨ Advice I like to give to myself….’It’s only as hard as you make it’ 😂 (sometimes that helps!)
Great to hear from you my Friend! Hugs & Cheers- Robin 🌈🌹🌹

Hello Sonia! 🥰👋🏽 Thank you! I only tried making flower Murrini years ago…it was not so good 😂
I actually thought about making an Eye Murrini And then a potato looking bead with them on it!
lol!😆 Perhaps I will do that one for Halloween this year! 💫 Glad you enjoyed this one and feel more confident to try. Hoping all is well with you my friend! Cheers- Robin 🌈✨✨

Your murrini is wonderful, looks like a peony to me. Looking forward to seeing how you use it in a bead.

Hi Shelley! 🤗✨ Thank you! It does look similar to a Peony! 🥰🌹 I have spent the last couple of days, trying to perfect applying the murrini to a bead….I think the last one I just made is the best! Can’t wait to share with you all!! 🌹✨ Cheers- Robin 👋🏽🌈

What a great demo. I'm taking a 4 day class at the first of March to learn floral cane making and use. Your video gave a good basic understanding of how the tools are used and the overall process. Great timing ❤. Thanks for the great job.

Sweet flowers! With the ruffled edge on the petals, they remind me of carnations. I'll be sure to get some larger diameter clear rods for doing the ends. That must have been quite a juggling act keeping the murrini warm while melting enough clear for the ends. Looking forward to next week's instalment. 💮

Hi Jirup! 🤗✨ Thank you!! 🙏🏽🌹 I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! …this will be perfect for you to practice when the weather gets cooler! ( also, I am anxiously awaiting my glass order and 5lbs of 8-9 mm. Clear…yea!!! ). When I put on that final punty, I was like I was like 😳!!! Lol! 😂 It was quite an exciting experience! Cant wait to share the final results with you all! ✨✨
      Cheers my Friend- Robin 🌈🌹

Hello Enrico! 😃🌹 i’m really glad you enjoyed this one! It also took me a bit of time to understand the overlap thingy! 😂 I researched photos of flower Murrini for days before I attempted this one.
Next time I will try to make the petals overlap even more…I hope! Once I get a good grasp on the technique it will be easier for me to explain as well. ✨ great to hear from you, my friend!
      Cheers- Robin 🌈👋🏽✨🌹🌹

What brand torch do you use?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Hello Danjay! 🥰👋🏽 I have several different torches, but the one I favor and use most often is the HellCat from Carlisle Machine Works. carlislemachine.com/as_benchburners/hellcat.php
It is perfect for all glass types! I hope the link works so you can read about it! 😃🌈🌹
Cheers my Friend - Robin 👋🏽✨✨
