They do seem to fall apart a bit after just a few seconds once you start noticing extra fingers, teeth, and straight lines that go nowhere but it won't be long until these types of details are buffed out. It is great isn't it. The aesthetic even retained the look of practical effects from the 80s, with a lot of the imperfections inherent in those effects being "buffed out." Looks very good, very real, and even more so than the recent TV series

I think the Elite looks a tad wack but the rest is really cool. I‘d enjoy a movie with this sort of aesthetic. My only complaint, I think, is that the Covenant and Forerunners are supposed to look extremely distinct from humanity‘s stuff, which only the forerunner stuff and elite look notably different. The jackal and grunt look as if they could be humanity‘s slaves or close cooperators.
As a fan of sci-fi more then fantasy this is by far my favourite one of these. I could already see the directions this would go in. Also love have guilty spark as this monolithic esoteric piece of tech.
David Lynch Dune is stunning underrated visual masterwork tbh. Costumes and sets are truly supreme and far more interesting looking film then new one tbh

Many of the vehicles, helmets and suits of armor, and especially the guns look extremely modern rather than Eighties. Still, this was fun. It’s cool to see 1984 Dune getting some love for its aesthetic, even if it wasn’t a great movie.
