I love my looms and making potholders. They're great for gifts for your baking friends. I do have an idea Why not make the loom out of wood? Wood has a warmer touch to it then metal. Also for the hook, I would prefer using wood. I guess I'm not thrilled about touching metal but I still love my Harrisville looms! :-)
Thank you for this video! I bought a loom for my kids and the directions it came with are garbage. I remember eating my sister make these when we were little, but couldn't remember how to finish off the edges.
You can pull on the last two loops at the corner out a little more, do a single knot (like when you start to tie your shoes), and then pull one loop through the other and tighten the knot a little bit. I've been doing this for years and they never come undone when I do this.
There are usually 18 pegs on a standard loom. The loom itself is 7 inches wide. There is a 1/2 inch gap between the edge and where the pegs begin on each side (so the pegs span 6 inches from the first peg to the last.) The pegs are 1/3 of an inch away from each other from one center of the peg to the center of the next peg.
Best video EVER...You actually show what to do at the very end ! Other videos don't do that. Thanks !!
wow you did a great job weaving i am 10 years old i am in 5th grade and i got a ultimate weaving loom and loops for christmas
Whaaa? Me too! (I’m using my lil bro’s account cus my phone is dead)

Thank you! Sharing with my seniors at our senior center!
I find it helpful to use a dinner fork to push the weft loops tight to the ones below it.
Love my potholders!
Great video!
I love this! Had a much cruder version as a kid and adored doing these! Have to try again!
That video was VERY nicely produced. As much care went into your video tutorial as in the making of your lovely potholders. Many thanks!
Thank you help my daughter a lot
Thank you for this video! It was very helpful! Just finished my first one
❤ can’t wait to make my first pot holder ❤
Just finished my first one! So much fun and beautiful too. Thank you for this great video!
this really helped me out and made me want to do this more
Thanks so much for the wonderful video! It was so much better with more details, especially about finishing it off, than the other videos I watched!
Thank you! this is a great gift to give my mom!
Made these in grade school could never master how to finish it off I'd get my teacher to do it or she helped me this video was helpful
I used only my fingers and potholder to make this. The 2nd part takes longer but the 3rd seems easier and faster.
Thank you so much for your great tutorial.
Thank you so much this helped me so much by the way you don’t need a crocheting thing just use the thing that came whith the kit
Great tutorial! Thanks!
I remember this from my child hood.

Can you put these potholders in the washer and dryer?

I am making my first one but in your demo here, don’t you need to somehow secure the hanging loop so it does not come apart?

@@emilysidden1391 thank you.
@@kimerleviccaro1957 You're welcome
thx I’m making this for by bestie
Where do I get one of those
I know this video is 2 years old. My question is, can we make our own loops? If so, how?
Does the very last loop stay like that, or do you have to knot it?
Yes. You need to knot it. As shown, it will work itself loose.
How many pegs and how far apart are they? I have a flexee loom I can shape into a square
