An underrated song from an underrated album. I hate that they’ve completely distance themselves from Pop. Because I love it.

Agreed. Usually its an eye-roll situation for me when people say covers are better than the original. Typically The reason why they think its better is because they’re a fan of the artist who covers the song. But in this instance, I agree with you completely. Another example of this is Jack White covering Love is Blindness. It is absolutely phenomenal.
Aside from those two, I’ve never heard anyone cover a U2 song and come away feeling like they improved upon the original.

I think we've all felt like God isn't listening anymore. There was a time in my life where I said He wasn't, and I walked into my grandfather's hospital room, the phone rang. Still, I'd really like more contemporary live performances of Pop material.
Overall I wish U2 would vary their setlists between shows a lot more (you could for example have three or so slots that are interchangable between shows and switch between scores of amazing, rarer songs).

Tina Michaels, although Flowers doesn't sing the line, I'm 95 percent sure the line from the single version is "So I slow down by your door, " not "So I'm sold out by your door." Compare it with the frequent live addition to "One": "Do you hear me coming, lord?/Do you hear me call? Do you hear me knocking, knocking at your door?" Sometimes Bono substitutes "us" for "me," and/or "love" for "lord," in those live additions.
