For those asking about John Mason (taxi driver), he was my granddad. Unfortunately he passed away in 2011. As far as we know as a family the attacker was never caught for the crime and the motive was never found out. My grandad was a lovely man and wouldnt have done anything to provoke, it was just a purely heartless attack from that scumbag!
For anyone wondering if he rings a bell, the guy playing the taxi driver's colleague is the same actor who played the postman robber in the March 2002 edition.
Heather Tell murder was done by a local coach driver Michael Chidgey, a known sex offender with ten convictions dating back to the early 70s. He was jailed in 1983 for attempted rape and got four years, serving only two. His daughter 18 year old Lindsey Chidgey suspected her father, confided in friends who then phoned the police. Jailed for life in 2001.

Yes that's a strange move. As was the first girl who then walked home on her own for a mile after having been confronted by a man masturbating. Surely the best thing would be to stick together as a 3, get to the nearest home of your group and have a parent come and pick you up.
Did the cops ever catch the guy that attacked the mini cab driver John Mason? It was an appalling and despicable attack. He left item's behind. Surely with the advancement of DNA they should have caught him by now. The incident happened 23 years ago.
I knew a guy around this time who with his friends used to visit glory holes in XXX shops in soho and they called themselves the “hole in the wall gang” but I don’t think they are related to this
Always remember flashers are dangerous. It's not just a silly, funny joke. It's not like uni/college kids "streaking" or "skinny dipping" It's a gateway crime..... Flashers are getting off on other's discomfort and fear. And most flashers will progress to more serious acts.
