Very interesting . And you're spot on about diet change . I do eat lots of vegetables , fruit , nuts , oats , grains etc I do not eat junk food but it is difficult to monitor everything that goes in ... All those hidden salts and sugars etc . But I had a blood pressure spike last week , lots of headaches , nausea , weird dreams and sweats at night , waking up having to break myself out of almost delirious type thought patterns and not feeling my usual self so doc placed me on 5mg Amlodipine and off for blood tests next week . Surgery blood pressure 170/110 but over the past few days home readings ranging between 113 to 135 over 70 to 80 . So I will have to take my home monitor and get it checked for accuracy I think . Now I know what high blood pressure feels like ....... Not nice . I also drink tonnes of water a day , most days .

Exactly. This drug is poison. My husband was hospitalized with abducens nerve palsy, because of this drug, and was cross-eyed for two months. Then came the Losartan, and he had to go to the E.R. for angioedema. These doctors are so certain of what they are prescribing, but actually know very little about all of their mechanisms of action. So watch out for these "experts" who think they're in possession of the critical information. They don't.

There is nothing wrong with high blood pressure. We need it as we age. It's very common. To provide more oxygen to the brain requires higher blood pressure without medications. It's also needed to eliminate more waste and toxins faster. There are other things that require higher blood pressure, so it's a good thing, not a bad thing. By treating high blood pressure with medications to get the numbers down into the acceptable guidelines that do change over the years, you're not treating or preventing anything, only making the problem worse. For instance, if you don't have enough blood pressure during a certain time when your body is self regulating and require high blood pressure to increase more oxygen to your brain and you're way below that, then you can get dizzy upon standing, increase risk of falls and dementia and this appear to be more common in the elderly population regardless of other health conditions they may have. So it's better to leave high blood pressure alone and forget about it. Just focus on increasing antioxidants, raise glutathione level and decrease homocysteine levels and decrease inflammation in your body. That's all that matters.

The problems I have with Amlodipine is it caused my arms to go numb for 3-days when I first woke up. And I have numbness if I have my hands up behind my head while in a reclining position. Other then that at this point it works well with Lisonipril 40 mg, had to stop the Spironolactone 25 and 12.5 because in the evening my diastolic and systolic get too low. Going to talk to my Cardiologist about this on the 31 st of this month. Also noticed a little chest pain when I do strenuous work sometimes, not sure what to do about that.

In the morning it can be as low as 110/60 and later in the day it can be 130-140/80-70. When I go to see my internist, it generally runs higher 180+/80. I believe because of white coat syndrome. I think you meant, reduce the amount of sodium in the diet. A change of lifestyle to a whole food plant based diet plus exercise will do a lot more to correct your blood pressure at the source - with no negative side effects. Easy? not necessarily. Simple? very. Radical? No. Open heart surgery is radical! See the movie "Forks Over Knives" . Diet and exercise, just as the good doc said.

On youre bp . If youre bp is high in the doctors office its not likely high. I just finally told my doctor to get stuffed and quit my bp meds x 2 after a decade of hell side effects. They sneak up on you they add up with each new pill they add . Doctors are the devil ..My bp is 200 over 110 in any doctor setting but 125 over 65 at home
If youre on any medication there will be side effects. So make damn sure youre sick first. The preventative is bullshit
High bp is a good thing not a bad thing.its youre body regulating to youre surroundings.
Obviously if at home you have a constantly high bp like 180 over 100 then you are sick and might need the devils pills.

Is Aurobindo, there are others that are good too. From my experience l've taken meds. that don't work very well. I've called the pharmacy and asked to have them replaced by these two co. I mentioned earlier. There are dramatic differences in how generics med. Is made. I prefer brand name meds, but if l can't get them l ask for Teva or Aurobindo generic brands. They work extremely well. God bless.
