I thought the elephant strategy was to pull your pockets out like ears, unzip your pants, and ask people if they want to see your elephant. Not sure how it works in a fight.
I tried The Elephant Strategy, and This is how it works : They will look at your elephant and confuse for a moment, because they are under Genjutsu. The Genjutsu will put your opponents in a dimension where they won't be able to move & they get attacked by your elephant. The Genjutsu can't be removed unless your opponents admitted that Covid- 19 is real.
I’m watching your videos bc my fiancé’s ex wife said she is going to fight me (for no reason, other than she doesn’t like me) the next time she sees me. I’ve never been in a fight so thank you for these pointers.
Another good one is to have two (or more) different techniques that have the same set up or chambering. To use your tepe example, mixing it with a front snap kick, as they both look similar but have different targets and even effects, as one is a push to the body and the other a face hit. Another good one is mixing roundhouse kicks with question mark kicks, as checking what you think is a roundhouse leaves your head wide open for a question mark kick coming from the other side of your body. [I speak from experience, I checked the third low roundhouse in a row, only to be smacked across the opposite side of my head]
Yeah, for me I always start my ? kicks with bringing my knee straight up like a teep, and then swooping it around, and this always leads to good feints. Some guys I spar with often block the ? kick and leave themselves open for the teep.
Nice to see. You were a beginner years ago, first videos I watched. This is a year old but totally improved fighter (in the details that make a difference). 👍👍
Wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Strength has nothing to do with striking power. Your equation is wrong. Get rid of power. Get rid of strength. They are incorrect terms. FORCE and MASS are their replacements. Force=mass•acceleration. Striking power is nothing more than how fast can you accelerate the largest amount of weight. Its why all heavyweights have knockout power. Dont worry about being strong if you want to hit hard. It wont help with that aspect of fighting. F=M•A is what you will learn in any basic physics class my guy. Trust it.
Very great techniques but imo the spin fake is a high risk strategy because our coach trained us to find any small window where your back is exposed to us or you're in a forced move like extended kicks and jabs. A confident fighter could get his finishing attack on you and would be hard come back from, anyhow great skills🔥💪🏻
Hi Shane and Vince! I wanted to ask for advice what martial arts or drills are most useful in close quarters. I'm about to start working aboard a merchant marine ship and I just want to arm myself some practical self-defense and be proactive. Thanks a lot. i enjoy your content all these years. Keep it up :)
Maybe a little too late, but close quarters striking would mean boxing and clinch work. Dirty Boxing and Muay Plum ,maybe pummelling drills if you have someone else to help you. One the grappling side,Sumo and Judo flow well for this. Sumo for the pushing power, better when you have walls, and judo mostly for the sweeps and trips. Shiko is a good exercise.
What about looking over your opponents shoulder and saying: 'wait a minute mate, someone's calling you'. When they turn their head, you kick them in the nuts and run for your life?
You should mention you don’t always have to attack with a feint. Sometimes you can just fake it with nothing behind it. I find switching it works well like maybe the first feint you throw nothing behind it and second one you setup a move then maybe setup another move on the 4 or 5th feint into the fight don’t always react off a feint they might be ready to counter your feint if you’re throwing the same obvious setups.
Bro,is it necessary to do 3 reps in mma and muay thai while doing strength training like pushups, sit ups and burpees?i know they do it in calisthenics but what about muay thai?should I do 10 pushups for 3 reps or should I try doing 30 pushups in one go?
when you dont have PILLOWS on your hands, one punch can easily break ribs or crush your face. That and the complete lack of kicking are big problems that face both boxers and wrestlers. boxers actually basically train themselves to ignore punches and the lower body. You can't do that when it's for real. Wrestlers not only train themselves to not be protected from strikes, but also from "illegal" moves, like nut grabs, larnyx rips, face, collarbone or floating rib 'claw" attacks.
Sorry to say bro but highly concentrated opponent cant be distracted...... bcoz they only watch u r chest and dodge the punches n kicks which really tries to hit him........ but the fighters who r overconfident can be distracted by this feints 😂👍 Btw well explained and shown bro love u r videos big fan shane😘😘
Yeah, I have to disagree with the "look away" feint. I cannot imagine any trained fighter being stupid enough to fall for that. But i know for a fact a well trained fighter will make you pay for taking their eye off them even for a split second..
Never teach someone to look to the side and then punch to 'trick' your opponent. The fight game is a game of inches and miliseconds and the strike you don't see coming is the one that will KO you. Looking away for that second is the way to get KO'd.
Hey, do you think I can learn martial arts just from watching your videos and practicing on my own? I can't join a proper trainer or school right now. A reply would be very much appreciated!! Absolutely love your videos. Both of you are such amazing teachers. Thank you so much for everything you do
Yes you can. I started watching his videos back in 2014 when he was just doing streetfight tips and his "fight like" videos. His videos were to show how to throw punches and kicks. Now, he's doing online coaching type stuff. The amount of knowledge this guy has is amazing
like anthony quan said, it's a place to start. better than nothing. from personal experience i can tell you no amount of training replaces full contact sparring or actual fights
You'll have to get good at motivating yourself, and being honest and objective with self-assessment. If you're gonna coach yourself, you might want a friend to help you keep yourself honest and motivated.
Hey Shane. I really want to learn boxing. But recently I learned that it can cause permanent brain damage. Can you please make a video addressing the issue. What would you advise me ? Looking forward to your reply.

These are very powerful tricks. Feints can give you such a huge advantage, a lot of fights are won this way. Cheers my man
A lot of fights are won after the shot to the ding dong💔
Shane and Vince, you two are great teachers of martial arts.. keep it up brothers..
Yes, Vice McMahon and his son have taught a entire generation how to fight. God bless them both. 🙏

These are gold! I applied some of them at sparring, it just changed my whole game! Thank you so much guys!
Liked the last feint the most- the spin attack! This is something new I learnt from here. Thank you guys!
i also love the rear teep feint into superman punch, caught a bunch of people super off guard with this and its devastating
Amazing content as always 💯
A trick I used to do was to grab their bals as fast as possible. Standing at a 20 k/d ratio, they never stood a chance.
Beautiful I'm going to try this
I like to use throwaway punches or kicks to set up the spin attack or throwaway strikes on the guard to get the angle.
The shoulder feint is a favorite of mine. I signal a high punch, and it helps me chamber a nasty low kick.
Great content can you post a video on using head movement while striking simontiously in kickboxing
Great advice! I really needed this video to practice feints! 🥋✊

Great video bro
No looking away is dangerous. I hesitate and then look.
What about pointing behind them while asking what's that?
Limited effectiveness on that one, but keep it in your back pocket just in case.
quality video yet again
that last fake is too sick
Surprised that a tornado kick wasn't mentioned. Looks initially like a spinning back kick but then turns into a kick using the other leg
How do you deal with a tall aggressive opponent
