OK, Had my 2013 for 2 days and with just minor adjustments to driving style and 390 miles behind me I am at 43.2mpg. I don't get why these reviewers can not learn to drive hybrids correctly. It requires nothing more than a little attention to when to gas, how much pedal, and when to coast/brake etc.
I really like my 2013 EX in the same color as the video. Note I bought mine as a demo for around 24k with around 1400 miles on it but it has the KIA 100k mile warranty and 5 years free roadside assistance. The battery is also covered under the warranty. Awsome features of the EX the video didnt mention standard on the EX are heated and cooled leather seats, Memory seats, Power driver and passenger front seats, voice activated Nav, blue tooth, and audio commands, touch start button and tons more features. As you walk up to the car with your smart key, The interior lights come on, and when exiting they stay on for about 20 secs. with exterior as well. No mechanical issues after 1 yr of ownership.
Great video. Very professional just wish it had a test drive. Thank you for the quick overview of the vehicle and practical day to day usage of the car.
Honda's do perfect on the highway specially with their vtech v6's engine on my crosstour i use to get 37-43 mpg on the freeway thats with no traffic but with traffic it all depends if it was really congested it would give 15-17 mpg with normal traffic about 22-25 then again it all depends if its climbing any car that does more climbing and down falling it would deliver much less mpg the ex version for the 2014 its awesom the EX VERSION HAS Ventilated Seats with Heated and cooling,Parking brake with a push botton plus the auto hold feature, this technology have been on transit buses for a very long time you press button once you come to a full stop take your foot off the brakes when you have the green light just press the gas pedal n go the LX VERSION IS SO CHEAP CHEAP FABRIC FOOT PARKING BRAKE,STANDARD AUDIO WHICH SUCKS compare with the EX MODEL which has an 400 WATT INFINITY SOUND SYSTEM independent speaker for the BLUETOOTH CALLS,NAV'S VOICE LIFETIME SIRUS HD Traffic is very accurate compared to stand alone GPS's like Garmin,TomTom with traffic

The Optima is definitely one of the best looking hybrids in my opinion. Definitely has a lot going for it! Oh and I'm surprised to see shorts! :)
