Great review! I love your videos. Very helpful when trying to decide between all of the options available today. A few improvements I would like to see on the Hohem M8 are a slightly longer front trigger, more ergonomic handle grip, and a round finger dimple in the jog wheel so you can scroll full circle movements faster and easier.
@@SamuelSotiega I like that they added those little nubs on the remote to help latch it in place over the V3 remote and the latch on the balancing arm is more robust and the 3 axis locks are a great improvement over the M6 model. The balancing arm locks in better too. I could move the balancing arm back and forth with minor effort on the M6 after it's locked. I wish the lock on the pan axis locked and unlocked the same as the other locks. I have to remember to move the 2 locks down and the pan axis up to unlock it each time. Wish they were all the same. Less to remember and more intuitive.
The only thing 13:19 is the m6 has 18 hour battery and m7 is 12 hours battery but I don’t think it’s a big issue because I charge my gimbal after each use 😅
I bought (in order) the DJI OM5, Zhiyun Smooth 5, Hohem MT2, Scorp mini 2, Hohem M6, and Hohem V3, Zhiyum M2S. I kept going back to the M6, even pushing the motors and using an elastic band to attach a GoPro10 and a Panasonic Lumix GM1 w/12-35 kit lens! I just ordered the Hohem M7. The M7 will likely replace everything except my Scorp 2 and (maybe) Zhiyun M2s.
Wow, you do have a brilliant set up with options. And you are right. The M6 was/is great but the M7 does offer something unique. The Scorp 2 is a brilliant gimbal too, in every sense..
Got the M6. The M7 seems like a nice upgrade. But, the M6 is my honest opinion the best since it's almost twice as cheap and provides the same features.
thanks for the video so is the ai Tracking only for people ? 🤔 can it track an object ? can i mark the tracking target whether a human or object using the Hohem app on the phone ? like in osmo pocket 3
You can track objects and people as you want it. The tracking might not be as advanced as the dedicated AI tracker sensor, but for objects actually works great. The lost important thing to bear in mind is to have something with contrast so it is easy for the app/tracker to tell between the object to be tracked and the background, if possible.
The one thing the M6 can do that the M7 can't is give you a feeling of FOMO. I have the M6 and here I am, wanting the M7. Problem is I want an MT3, with M7 features.
All looks good but now that am the owner or a OP3 :) I'll keep the OP3, that is just an absolute dream an absolute joy and pleasure to use within the constraints of the system itself. My das of big gimbals are now over and when the OP4 comes out, I'll be on the waiting list :D
M6 lock broke on mine and now it does not want to unlock. I use a piece of thick paper to keep it open. Not a great design imho. I’m not a heavy user by any stretch of the imagination.
I feel for you. Mine gave up a few weeks after heavy use (almost weekly use) and it was such a bummer. But one thing Incan tell you, the locks on the M7 feel way sturdier and better quality.

Thanks for chipping in and your feedback! There are aways improvements to any product that we wish they did differently....

These are the best gimbal review videos I’ve found
Wow, thanks and glad you like them!
excelente reseña Samuel, muy honesto y acertado siempre.
Muchas gracias! Me alegro te haya gustado
Very good info . Thanks!
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful!
I like that you highlighted the usability and functionality not just reading the spec sheet
Trying my best....

I don't think so either! thanks for chipping in!

I’m pretty sure you can control the roll and tilt on the M6 with the jog wheel
Uhmm… Mine didn’t do it. Or maybe I am dumb, or need to check firmware version…
Now what's best? Hohem iSteady M7 or SCORP mini 2
Tough… I might need to do a video about this…. You think there is an audience for it?
@SamuelSotiega Yes I am in the audience😅 because it is a long search and many comparisons I saw that scorp mini 2 It is the best mobile installer.

And that is a very, very good and nvalid point. The M6 IS a great gimbal!!
I agree
Is it possible to control tracking from the app with Mt2 or only pan/tilt?
Do you mean? the AI tracking or the app tracking feature within the app?
@SamuelSotiega from the app I can control pan/tilt, is it possible to activate tracking from the app (Mt2)?
thanks for the video
so is the ai Tracking only for people ? 🤔
can it track an object ?

I will check this tomorrow and get back to you. Chase me if I haven;t got back by end of the day tomorrow!!
@SamuelSotiega

Thank you for your reply, is that tracking works for the MT2 gimbal ?
Or which one you are talking about?

Hahahha! I hadn’t thought about that one!! 🤭😀

True, the Pocket 3 is truly amazing, and I also love it!!
Mt2 I want to use my eos m, but do you think they will update it with a mt3 with remote like m7?
I would hope so!!!

Well should have been a little more careful with it. The locks are known to break with heavy use.
