    Hello from Sweden. Good video. Thanks for the effort. Ive just demoed 3045r and 4066r. Both great. I was wondering if you knew how long the 3046 is from the link arms to the tip of the bucket? The tractor I tried unfortunately did not have a loader on it.

    Thats an awesome machine you got there. I just bought a 3025e in April 0f this year. I really like it but was skeptical about the plastic hood. After hearing your mishap with the fallen tree, speaks pretty loud to me. Thanks, make me feel better about my tractor. The other thing i appreciate was telling us about the regen cycle. The biggest reason i went with the 3025 was it doesn't require a DPF which I've heard alot of horror stories on. Sounds like the regen isn't the monster i have heard it made out to be. I know in its early stages 5 years ago it was a nightmare. Guess they've made some big changes. Thank you so much for this video.

    Great video. I upgraded from a Kubota 2620 to a JD 2038R and I love it. I had a cab on the Kubota and while it was great when snow blowing it was in the way the rest of the season when I took the tractor into the woods. I put an Original Tractor Cab on the JD this year but it's removable so it will come off in the spring. I've got close to 100 hours and have gone through two regens. I heard all horror stories but I had no problems. The symbol came on the display telling me it was in process and it told me to increase the RPM's. I keep using the tractor and it finished in about 20 minutes. No problem at all.

      I've thought about readjusting the bucket level indicator for the pusher, but I use forks a lot as well and I need to come up with a way to mark level for each implement -- bucket, forks, and pusher. Think I missed the memo. Do you have to run it for ~45 minutes every ~50 hours or so at min 1500 rpm to do the regen? Wouldn't that negate any "saving the environment" that it's intended for.

    I know JD says not to change the oil until 100 hours.....but I downloaded the Yanmar Diesel manual and Yanmar says to change the break in oil at 50 hours. I cant figure out why the engine manufacturer says 50 hours and John Deere turns it into 100 hours. I decided to go with the engine maker and drained my break in at 50 hours and replaced with Amsoil Synthetic Diesel oil. Personally I think if a engine isnt broken in by 50 hours something is seriously wrong. 100 hours is a LONG time to keep running with all the break in metal shavings in the oil and filter. When I drained that break in oil and replaced with synthetic diesel oil and new filter I noticed my fuel consumption got a little better AND now at the 100 hour mark the oil is amazingly clean for a diesel. That John Deere break in oil at 50 hours was a nasty black soup!!! To each his own....but I would definitely go with Yanmars directions and drain that crap at 50 hours instead of 100.

    The new tractors are nice but not nice enough to have to deal with regen and the other pollution garbage. Thats why I ended up finding a low hour 3720. I love it . It had 151 hrs on it when I bought it 2 years ago I got almost 500 on it now and no real issues only problem was a leaking front axle seal. I also understand the wish it had a little more capacity issues because I feel the same way with mine. I actually wanted to buy the 4 series but you couldn't get the mid mount mower with them so I ended up with the 3720 and I love it. Its been very good to me so far.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will say that there haven't been any significant issues with the John Deere regen system in the tractor Series I'm familiar with -- 2, 3, & 4. Kubota has an issue with their B3350 model, but that's about it. However, it does drive the cost up and is one other thing that could potentially "break" down the road too.
      I'm gonna miss this tractor when I get rid of it.

    Considering this tractor or a 4046 as I need to lift logs on my 40 acres. you referenced the lift capacity being a little of an issue and wanted to ask if you had to do it again which would you get?

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. A 4 Series is going to give you a lot more lift capability with the loader, more lateral stability, and more tractor weight which naturally helps both stability and ballast. If a primary function is lifting logs, then you may be more inclined to purchase the 4 Series. It isn't that it can't be done with a 3, 2, or even 1 Series, it's just that you need to know the limitations. Cutting into smaller pieces, maybe using a chain to drag instead of the loader, etc. Also, it is much more difficult to navigate through the woods in a larger tractor than a smaller tractor. Seems like there's always a trade off.
      Thanks for watching!

    A couple hosts from a few different channels did a, to paraphrase; "Buyers Beware" when speaking about the 3000 series with a cabin. They claim, it can be top heavy and you can easily find yourself in a compromising situation. The 3720 does have a "skinny" look to it; in comparison to other series. Does it, in fact, have a smaller, than normal; footprint? Is that why it's being possibly accused of being "tipsy"? Obviously yours doesn't have a cab; just wondering what you've heard or know about my concern. Growing up, gear heads used spacers to accommodate larger tires on muscle cars. I never did, they just didn't look safe to me. I've seen you promote spacers on a few of you're videos; specifically on you're own 1025. Are they "a thing" now for tractors; safe, reliable, rust proofed, guaranteed etc.? If I go with a 3720 & wanted to put a lil' distance between the 2 rear tires; spacers a good way to do it? Or, I could just remove the axle on the 3720 & replace it with one from a 4720 🤔! Kidding,,,,,,,😅 😂 🤣 😎. Courtney, enjoy watching you're videos. I like all of the Deere tractors you've talked about; as well as the attachments you promote. What's truly nice listening about the attachments is you speak from experience when discussing them. Now that's 🗝️.
