That countach evoluzione could've been a countach super veloce in a sense. The countach is the only V12 halo car that never got an sv edition. It's a shame lamborghini didn't seem to embrace that idea more at the time.

I remember reading about the Countach Evo by Pagani in CAR Magazine here in the UK back in 1989 I think when I was 15. I still have the magazine, need to dig it out. It was an iconic issue that featured a test between an F40 vs a 959, the feature on the Countach Evo and a report on the Aston Vantage Zagato.

I live two blocks from Curated and I have a stiff neck from looking at the cars so many times every day. Great content John!!! By the way, I was in Modena and Bologna two weeks a go and I remember Curated when I saw the museum.

As a swiss certified watchmaker here in the USA, the carbon Lambo reminds me of another rare missing situation. Quite possibly one of the most valuable of all Rolex watches because of its insane history, and i am talking about the Ernesto "Che" Guevara GMT that was given to him by Fidel Castro only to be stolen by the commander of the Bolivian army. This is a situation where we assume the military commander or his family still have this rare Rolex today in 2022. Where it will end up is totally unknown but imagine the value of such a early production date GMT Master and what will become of it IF, it ever sees the light of day. Epic cars above. I hope all are found so the world can enjoy them again.

I heard about the Evo a few years ago an saw these exact pictures so it's great your looking it has the coolest rear however it was early early carbon fiber so it probably deteriorated by now.

I always loved these cars but being pretty tall I couldn't fit in one! In high school in the 80s there was a dealer in my town that sold these and I became friends with them and always let me around them. Passenger seat was only thing I could fit but, rides were awesome

I still have the original 1987 CAR magazine issue that featured this Countach Evoluzione, also featured the Ferrari 288GTO and F40 v Porsche 959

Hey John, just watched your latest at Vinwiki and wanted to drop you a line. It occurred to me while watching your story that if you hadn't put on that event (and had your picture taken with Trump) back when you were 18, we wouldn't be having Cars & Coffee events today. Pretty sure we can draw a direct line from there to here, and I'd wager even 23 & Me would say you're related. On behalf of those of us having fun at today's auto related social events, thanks for that.

Road & Track Magazine wrote an article about this Countach Evolutione in 1988 if not mistaken also they were talking about the Portofino(was a 4 door sedan) and ended the article saying that the Evolutione was destroyed in crash testing, hope this wasn't true, will be great to see if it still exists.
