Absolute filth, brilliant Treq. Once again showing that you are one of the best tactic creators on here. I'll try and give all three a go, cheers as usual
I know you're not his biggest fan, however I'd be interested to see your interpretation of Ten Hag's Ajax tactics in FM24. You can't deny that they played some great football in 18/19 and in 21/22. Both different systems with one using a false 9 and one using a more traditional striker. I think they'd work well in FM24's positional play engine.
@@Thphnts I was his biggest fan at Ajax mate totally agree with the Ajax stuff. Should have stuck to his principles that got him at united instead of bottling it after 3 games
@@trequinho I don't think he bottled it after the two losses in 22/23 at the start of the season. I just think he adapted to the fact that De Gea refused to learn how to be a sweeper keeper (Van Gaal tried to train him as one he flat out refused, plenty of reports about it), as did Jose and Ole. Also Maguire and Lindelof are simply not fast enough to play the high line he wanted. I don't want to argue again about him, as he's gone and we'll see what Amorim can do. I just wanted to see if you would consider an FM adaptation of his Ajax systems as they were fantastic. I watched some montage videos of his time there recently and the football was so nice.
@@trequinhoI did see if your FM23 version worked in 24 but I think the positional play engine doesn’t like it as I had bad results. Retro tactics are way more fun than all these 3-2-5 attacking shapes that every team uses nowadays
Van Gaal’s Ajax played a 4231 that changed into a 343 in possession. Kluivert has spoken about how they played in this video: th-cam.com/video/MPsqfJ9W9g0/w-d-xo.html There is also a book called “The Coaching Philosophies of Louis Van Gaal and the Ajax Coaches” that also supports the 4231 system that changed in possession. I’d say it was a back line of IFB-BPD-L-IFB with the libero stepping up to be the base of the diamond in a 343. It’s VERY easily to replicate in FM24 with the positional play engine.
Van Gaal's crowning moment. What a team‼️ A team riddled with future legends.

The Ajax team that won three European cups in a row in the early 70's is the greatest ever Ajax team.
I hope he’s okay because I haven’t heard much about him since his retirement
He managed the Ajax legends game recently
