जावेद साहब को सुनना तो हमेशा ही बढ़िया होता है, जिस बेबाकी से वो चीजों को बयां करते हैं। वैसे तो शायर/लेखक बेबाक ही बोलते हैं, पर आजकल एक शायर कुछ हट्ट के हैं। बैरहाल ग़ालिब पर उनकी गुफ़्तगू बहुत ही उम्दा थी। शुक्रिया खास कर जश्न ए रेखता का लोगों तक पहुंचाने के लिये।🙏
Javed sahab is a true gem. It feels very sad to see him getting old.
I was there listening to the legend Javed Akhtar... It was truly awesome experience.
For me Urdu is the finest language on this planet. My father was a scholar of Urdu and knew Farsi as well, with good knowledge of English and French literatures. But he adored Urdu above all, as I do. There is no parallel in any language to its 'nazaakat' and 'rawaanagi', Ghalib goes way beyond the ultimate heights of verbal expression with Urdu. Limitations of language just didn't exist for him. There can never be any poetry beyond his! Genius is an inadequate word to describe him.
"huā jab ġham se yuuñ be-his to ġham kyā sar ke kaTne kā, na hotā gar judā tan se to zaanū par dharā hotā"
There are many languages in India let alone the world which rival Urdu in power and beauty. What you have written can only come from someone who has not learned any other language nor knows any poets in any other language.

If poetry had speech it would speak Urdu!
Urdu lexicon has a multi layer of meanings, shades , colours , hue and expressions, which are unrivaled and cannot be adequately translated in any other language as other languages simply do not have that the depth or the multi layers in expression ; its word play a gentle rhythm which remain unmatched !
I can say this with some confidence despite Urdu not being my mother tongue. Compare Shakespeare, Chaucer , Browning , and Byron , with even a mediocre Urdu poet, and they don't have the same power or finesse.

Ghalib is one we can call ' Vishwaratna ' today though he had to hear ' ghaliz ' only ' as per the common meaning of his name ' during his own time ! His poetry must be translated into more and more languages so that they could widely be appreciated across the world. Javed sir you are amazing!

Very beautifully Javed ji has connected Ghalib's shayari with Vedas! Or it should be said that Ghalib's shayari is already connected with Vedas but we got to know it because of Javed ji! Liked video very much.

One feedback for the MC. When someone like Javed Akhtar is speaking, please do not interrupt, even if it is for daad and wah wahi. So many times he was speaking over Javed sahib in his zeal to be heard. A good MC stays in the background, while keeping the saddle firmly in his hands.

The poetry of Ghalib is multi dimensional. One can infer multiple meanings what suits him or her. Like Jawed Akhtar being atheist took an inference of atheism from his sher “humko maloom hae jannat ki haqiqat etc “ but Ghalib also said “ na thā kuchh to ḳhudā thā kuchh na hotā to ḳhudā hotā
Duboyā mujh ko hone ne na hotā maiñ to kyā hotā “ which is clear indication that Ghalib was a believer . His shaer of jannat ki haqiqat…..is different and symbolic rather than claiming that there is no jannat or God.

Thanks to Gulzar Sahab, who created a memorial for Mirza Galib.. It is ironic that a Poet of his Stature had no official Muqam, a shrine, where his fans would visit n pay their homage.
He deserved a university, a research Center. His grave is not properly maintained

मगर शेरो, मुशायरा से एक गहरी मुहब्बत है,
खुमार को सुना,jaun को सुना, दीवान ए ग़ालिब भी पढ़ता हूं, आपको सुनता हूं, आपकी स्पीच भी सुनते रह जाता हु।
आपकी बात को सम के एक किस्सा याद आया....
कुछ 10 12 साल पहले की बात है
कॉलेज के दिनों में हम शहर में होने वाले एक मुशायरे के लिए बहोत ही उत्साही थे, चुनाचे हुआ यूं कि शाम को कुछ दोस्त मिल कर, मुशायरे में पहुंचे।
एकाध शायर का कलाम सुनने के बाद मेरे साथ बैठे एक दोस्त ने पूछा इनमे से ग़ालिब कौन है, और वो कब अपने शेर सुनाएंगे 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's been preserved for the past 1400 years.

Its recitation gives you peace and takes you out from this world.
Its message is understandable for all levels of intellectual abilities.
Qur’ān is so poetic , still, its message covers all the issues in the world and gives you solutions.
Itna sasta nasha mat kiya karo.

Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). (Qur’ān 102:2)
Nay! You shall come to know. (Qur’ān 102:3)

Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things. (Qur’ān 102:5)
Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! (102:6)
And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! (Qur’ān 102:7)
Then, on that day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! (Qur’ān 102:8)
