waiting for Todd's platter tutorial. Good to see him...great sense of humor. Make hay while the sun shines...you'll be happy you did. enjoy your videos.
Todd is awesome....love the looks he gives you AND the camera. It was awesome that he was rubbing your back! Kim...LOVING the chip/dip bowl/platter combo and LOVING it in the muddy waters! God Bless...cant wait to see more of your videos!
Hi Todd! Nice to see you! I love the wheat, too I am going to do a few Muddy Waters and L Flux. It looks nice. Glad you tried the Lav. Mist and Norse with Desert Dusk. Ya, I didn't take the DD to the bottom. So, the coffee clay piece with the texture on the side...did you throw that piece. How do YOU get the texture on the side? I know what you mean about yarn bowls. One thing that helps me is to use small sponges to keep the cut out part from warping as it dries. It won't crack because as the clay shrinks, the sponges fall out. Might help you. Thanks so much for sharing you two!
Hi Audrey! Yes I’m going to try the lavender mist and DD again! The noodle bowl with the texture is one that Todd does with slabs, so he rolls the doily into the clay!
Hey there Todd!!! Omg Todd is hilarious!! I love the lavender mist combos. Around election time a lot of people don’t spend the same. I know it sounds odd but it’s been studied and it’s a real thing. It will get better. You two are absolutely ADORABLE!!!!
Hey Kim, You mentioned yarn bowls....I get frustrated as well putting those together. If you go to google and put in ceramic yarn bowls and look through images there is a lot of inspiration of how to do them in different ways.
So I wont say anything about Todd no just kidding we like you, I did a few testers with the new spectrum glazes fuzzy peach and floating turquoise and m370 cone 5.5 kiln sitter and it crazed. I didn't notice till I was glazing yesterday very pretty can only see the crazing in the right light
Yes I have noticed that a couple of times, it doesn’t usually do that, so I’m not sure why! I used to crack my kiln open before I should, now I don’t! I have also noticed it with Spanish moss but only on refried pieces!
@@undsethpottery Im a good 18 hrs before I even touch the kiln so I don't think it should be thermal shock everything is cool enough to handle with out gloves
Lovely video! Yarn bowls can be quite challenging so I get why you don't like them. Have you seen how some potters make yarn bowls with just a hole in the side of the bowl (i.e. the rim is not cut and there is no middle piece that get warped)? I've seen people do some really cute ones in the shape of a cow or pig with the yarn hole as the mouth. Perhaps you can try doing the hole method in your style? It might alleviate some of your hatred for yarn bowls!
I started my pottery journey 10 years ago, Todd, being artistic, would play around making a few things here and there but didn’t really get into till 2 years ago!
He does all the slab work and prepares everything for the bisque kiln! Sands, measured and prices everything when it comes out of the kiln, sometimes he glazes as well!
Let Todd talk about stuff tooo, let him hold and show while you talk. Dont take over look st the video, you wilk see what I mean. Apart from you guys sorting it out I love Todd on here.
