I enjoy watching your kiln openings and tutorials Kim, thank you. Love your glaze combos and you’ve given me hope for the muddy waters I could never get to work. I’m glazing a porcelain bowl with it with a slight variation! I’ll share it soon. Thanks again!❤
Wow I don’t know if I’ve seen the mulberry with indigo rain combo before. I love it! The aurora green with the copper is great as well. The refired platter is amaaaazing!! So sad it cracked darn it!! If you put a 2 part epoxy, that is food safe, on both sides of the platter it will be food safe for you. And good for you for remembering to put cones in and on all the shelves. Lol. I found that putting taller things on my bottom shelf has realllly helped even out my kiln. I can soo relate to the glazeathon for sure. All spring and summer, even into the fall, I slipcast and made pots. Glazed very little. Fired 3 very full kiln loads and have hundreds of pits to glaze during the winter. We are just starting to get real cold here in Iowa!! Oh Todd. My gosh the trees are absolutely gorgeous! That’s amazing!! I saw some in the background of your last video. Glad that I could help with the leather glaze. I pray you find something you can do about your shipping.
Nice intro! I do relate to the glaze-a-thon. I've been doing the same. I am thinking of trying your sunrise combo, except with pearl white over instead of river birch. I'll let you know if it turns out...or if it runs off the pot! I've been using Mayco's copper float instead of ancient copper. I think it's kinda inbetween the new and old AC. Love the trees Todd! You could also string them with fairy lights on the outside if you want. Thanks for sharing your combos!
Thank you! Look forward to seeing how your piece turns out with the Pearl white! I do use copper float as well, I think I like the more rustic look for this piece!
Love your stuff always look forward to you two sharing. I just wanted to say when I use Copper Float (cone 6) it is so close to the old Ancient Copper, not sure if I can tell the difference. I myself am not trilled with the new Ancient Copper, so Copper Float is my now new go to. Maybe you already knew, just wanted to share just incase you didn't. :) Vickie
I wanted to let you know that I just realized on one of your videos where we were taking about the glaze combo I accidentally used, I said amber topaz was the base glaze for desert dusk but it’s amber QUARTZ!!
@ Yes amber QUARTZ. I had said amber topaz. Those two always get me mixed up. Loaded the kiln yesterday and will fire it tomorrow. I have quite a few more tests in this one. Can’t wait to see them.
Nice that you still share being busy and all! Thank you❤
Thanks for showing the comparison between ancient copper and Baileys red!
Bailey's looks nicer, I think.

Love the obsidian and seaweed combo!

Same here. Very disappointed in the new AC.
I've been doing 12 - 14 hour days glazing lately, it is exhausting, but lucky we love what we do 😊
The countdown is on, then we can rest and relax 😊
👏oilers fan!

What did you use? I just assumed you meant Amber quartz!

Thanks for sharing but what was the combination for the Conch Shell? I know there was the copper base but the sides are just awesome.
It was just winterwood 2x and 1x light flux! It was fired twice!
@undsethpottery thank you so much.
