    I tried to talk my friend out of doing HRT. We are both 36 and I know he likely has higher T levels than I do. He's a big guy, at least 6 foot tall and very muscular. Unfortunately he ignored me and started TRT and since then has deleted his social media. I'm kinda worried about him tbh.

      Honestly you just shouldn't take TRT at this age, period. Have you tried Clomid / Tamoxifen to reset your pituitary gland hormones? If your testosterone was so low it was most likely due to low pituitary gland hormones as they signal the need to produce testosterone. Read about and honestly try it before committing to this and shrinking your equipment.

    Derek from "more plates more dates" has a clinic called marek health (which was referenced here as a sketchy clinic) but they're actually really conservative with trt. I know several people who went to them and were turned away from trt because their levels were in the normal range. A lot of popular trt clinics will give you trt no matter what your levels are at as long as you're paying, but Derek's clinic is different.

    I just started TRT at 48 years old with 3 small kids. My Doctor was concerned about an off-ramp from TRT down the road and being cautious. I had just had a vasectomy so fertility wasn't an issue for me. I told him that I had 14 years until my youngest turned 18 and I wanted to make the most out of these years. So I recently got on trt at 37.. anyway when hes talking about the numbers and questionable stuff.. my doctor strait up told me, "If you want your numbers to be 1000nm, 1100, 1200nm we stop when you say you feel good im not really worried about the blood test just how you feel".. thats getting into almost small cycle amounts of 200mg a week+.. So yeah its kind of a wild west out there atm. Plus he gives 3 weeks extra "just incase" my pharamcy backs up but ive never needed it so I could increase my dose 20mg to 220mg. Thats legit small test cycle. 200-300mg

    • @muscularclassrepresentativ5663
      @muscularclassrepresentativ5663 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Goated doctor lol. Could save up the extra for a real blast at 500. I wouldn't risk the health for very small benefit over trt. When you cross that threshold you get all the extra glycogen and water weight in your muscles and blood density and other benefits. Probably either stay in healthy blood pressure range or hit minimum powerful dosages, I dunno about guys who aim for the 300 range.... Like you shouldn't do it at all but if you do then go for real gains imo.
      It's less risky if you're already on trt, definitely if you're natural then don't stop at 200. I have good blood pressure and cholesterol on a 200 cruise but without the extra superpowers from blast, not worth the needles for that dose if you aren't already committed to trt

I got all my hair and shit still I need to be worrying about. But down the line save 100mg for 3 months. Then do a 12 week 400mg cycle and coast at 100mg til the next time. From my experience with TRT, going from deficient to mid-range (~600) is extremely anabolic. Going up to 1,000+ is better, but not nearly as much as people think (you’ll get much better gains from optimizing protein). But the big exception is when cutting and/or maintaining extremely low body fat. This will basically crash every guy’s testosterone. So TRT is performance-enhancing for many men who don’t really need it. A friend of mine who used to be a male model said that TRT is common in the industry, just to deal with the side effects of year-round low body fat.

      Low body fat is not an issue. Kcal deficiency / starving to get lean is.
      TRT is not the only way. Before committing to TRT men should try other methods, to attempt fixing what's going on with tier bodies (!). Have you tried Clomid / Tamoxifen to reset your pituitary gland hormones? If your testosterone was so low it was most likely due to low pituitary gland hormones as they signal the need to produce testosterone. Read about and honestly try it before committing to this and shrinking your equipment.

    Even if someone didn't need TRT but started anyway and got to the same levels, it still wouldn't be the same as without TRT. With TRT your test levels are constantly high which is a huge advantage when it comes to muscle building, recovery, and muscle retention while cutting.

    • @brandonj6548
      @brandonj6548 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but what at what cost? Trt is a pain in the ass and its for life. If you have everything in check and I mean everything it will let you carry about 10 lbs of extra muscle in exchange for biweekly injections and doctors visits every 3-6 months with blood work for the rest of your life. If you don't need it dont do it.

    Mike is right mostly, but I think there is a conversation to be had regarding the modulating effect of TRT on free Test in the body. Someone who makes 600ng/dl on AVERAGE (without dosing) is subject to swings in test levels based on stimuli. When you replace on a consistent schedule, you reduce the amplitude of those swings. But yea, that would be a pain in the ass and if you're at the level where you need to modulate your test levels, you're already blasting a few other substances

    • @adneovesen1249
      @adneovesen1249 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, naturally your testosterone fluxuates throughout the day and week and you may only be peaking at say 600. With a trt dose, you will usually have a constant 600 ng/dl level which does have various effects on the body, like you will probably gain an edge in terms of building muscle.

      It's more complicated than just what the total number is. I tested multiple times with having a total over 900 but my free test was on the lower end. Also androgen sensitivity is a huge factor.

    • @Iskatebaker412
      @Iskatebaker412 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adneovesen1249you have that completely backwards. Naturally your body produces 10-15mg a day at a steady state. If you’re going to a clinic for TRT it’s a once a week shot. One a week administration is much more likely to have Adrogenic side effects than being natural because it’s a big dose at once instead of a steady flow at all times

    • @Russellviews
      @Russellviews 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes. TRT replaces what your body used to produce. We would not say someone with normal T levels are on steroids.
      Therefore the difference between taking steroids (testosterone) and TRT is dosage.

  • @Cas_anova
    @Cas_anova 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    One benefit from taking TRT when you don't truly need to is that when you inject your levels are always stable, compared to your natural production which lowers when drinking, sleeping bad, stressing out etc. That alone can be performance enhancing on the long term even when the levels you're injecting are in the natural range.

    # Taking TRT when young
    Before committing to TRT men should try other methods, to attempt fixing what's going on with tier bodies (!). Have you tried Clomid / Tamoxifen to reset your pituitary gland hormones? If your testosterone was so low it was most likely due to low pituitary gland hormones as they signal the need to produce testosterone. Read about and honestly try it before committing to this and shrinking your equipment.

A regular person`s testosterone will fluctuate because of stress, not perfect sleep, diet etc. If two people train consistently and hard for a year(no matter in what sport) - trt-guy will progress further. And if those people will diet down for a year - the difference will be huge!

    I’m 48 and have been on TRT for nearly two years. My testosterone levels were under 200, and now they’re around 900. I use the 200mg cream, which works better for me than injections. Yes, the cream is just as effective! Overall, TRT has helped me mentally, giving me the push to hit the gym. I've noticed improvements in my sleep and motivation as well.
    However, it’s important to understand that TRT isn’t a magic fix-it doesn’t work overnight. It took me about 24 months to fine-tune the right dosage for my body, and everyone responds differently. I've definitely had more energy in the gym, but there are some downsides, like acne on my back and chest, and my face had a bloated look, probably due to my diet. Once I cleaned up my diet, I still had some water retention, which may be related to TRT.
    I’ve noticed some muscle growth, but nothing extreme. As I move into my 50s, I think TRT will help keep my levels steady, allowing me to continue working out well into my 60s. One key takeaway is that clean eating, proper sleep, and regular exercise are crucial. If you aren’t committed to these, don’t even consider starting TRT-it won’t do anything for you and will be a waste of money.

Got tested at 11.8 in 2021 in the UK (about 340), dropped some body fat cleaned up my diet and improved my sleep trained, trained trained, also improved my cardio got tested 6 weeks later and went up to 15.26 (440) also took Tongkat and Ashwagandha. Not sure what improved it (suspect it was the lifestyle not the supps) and realised I definitely don't need TRT and basically was thinking of 'hopping on' which is an entirely different thing. Decided against at this stage but it is hard seeing guys who are juiced to the gills training with minimal effort, minimal intelligence with terrible form jacked AF. Really interested in my 'free' Testosterone though so going to pay for the more in depth test (clearly still tempted to jump on 🤣)
