I’m 10yrs into TRT. Best decision ever.
My doctor is old school and avoided TRT for a long time. He recently told me that since he started prescribing TRT to his patients they all started to not need ED meds, anxiety meds, anti depressants, sleep aids, and they have better biomarkers and the net net result is he prescribes less drugs overall. And he told me he has had men+women shed tears to him saying TRT saved their marriage and changed their life.
TRT is about quality of life. But you must monitor your bloodwork forever…which ultimately is beneficial to your health because you are paying attention and your dr catches them immediately.

It’s not abnormal for people in tradition cultures to maintain muscle mass well into old age.
Does TRT allow us to ignore that we are being damaged? And if we’re not looking at the causes does it let those responsible for the damage off the hook?

Our body is a machine that meets the demands placed upon it. If we just sit on our phones or watching tv we don’t need very athletic peak functioning bodies. That’s my take at least. I think that’s kind of a chicken and egg statement. Logically it sounds good, but personally speaking, it wasn’t happening. My energy level, mental clarity, mental health were all way too impacted before taking it that I’d have never hit a point of being “ready” to take it. Doing any gym work was not going to happen. Eating right was not going to happen.
13 weeks in. My weight is only down by 8 pounds, but my body composition has greatly changed (4 belt sizes down). Mental clarity is high, energy level is high, working out on a RP Hypertrophy 3x/week whole body is giving me great “newbie” gains.

Here is something that virtually no one ever mentions; once you get on the TRT train you are never getting off, especially if you are a middle-aged man. You will effectively and very possibly permanently destroy your body's ability to produce testosterone on its own. If there is ever a situation that prevents you from getting your treatment, you will be completely an utterly fucked. If you think your mood and physical sense of being was bad before, it will be 10 times worse should this ever happen. And it could happen, think of COVID, think of the current climate of the world. Nothing is guaranteed. If you do not need to be on TRT and 90% of the people taking it do not need to be on it, don't take it.

Decreased testosterone with age is something that is natural and way God intended. We should start focusing on other things as we age, not sexual drive, and trying to turn back the clock. Taking testosterone will result in testes not producing it anymore and can result in increased prostate size and other side effects that might show up a lot later. Once you start, you might not be able to ever get off it, which creates dependency on it. This happened to me and even though I've have low testosterone my whole life, I prefer to not take any as I did in the past, since my energy level is fine and I can still do whatever I want. Sex drive is lower, but that's ok, since it's part of aging. I feel TRT is over prescribed and might not be the best thing for everyone to take, even at younger ages.

Any young guys going on exogenous testosterone are definitely damaging themselves. Parts of their dofies are literally shut off and imo that will effect other parts of their health. Exercise and diet should be all you need when younger.

Just as an FYI: my TRT clinic stopped being able to prescribe HCG, so they switched to Tamoxifen/Nolvadex which is very similar to clomid, take take to prevent ball shrinkage. After being on Nolvadex for months/year+ I noticed my libido was always low. I assumed it was a test dose issue, and it took a long time to realize it was the Nolvadex. So now I have to buy hcg from black market in order to prevent ball shrinkage due to being on TRT for years now

Testasterone levels vary throughout the day. My understanding is even changing your posture can affect it. If i had to get on it i probably would. I think most people have bad sleep, bad diets, are overstressed, are sedentary. It can be raised naturally through diet, exercise and circumstances. Womens hormones are alot more predictable than mens, ours vary based on our environment. I would probably get on it if i had to but i wonder how many mens testasterone would be higher if their lifestyle was more balanced

When my test was low naturally, i was lathagic, always tired, always sore, strength was terrible, mood swings, erection problems, weight gain, battling depression and suicidal thoughts at least twice a year......
Then i started TRT... and i got my life back. Become motivated in life, interacted with my kids more, got more done around the house, strength gains, cleaner moods and havent had a bout of depression since.
Best thing i did.. my test was at 3 - 8 nmol/L. Ironically i got the highest result when i didnt have any regular supps (vit D/zinc ect) in my system.

  • @Lustylibra

The title should be changed a bit just because again there are so many factors that come into play when you have a statement like that one. First and foremost he talks about knowing the difference between super physiological and therapeutic doses…. That right there is a difference between testosterone REPLACEMENT therapy and steroids pretty much in layman’s terms.. as far as fertility you can take HG if you plan on having kids. when it comes to your prostate or any other potential problems that can arise from TRT you do bloodwork every 3 to 6 months to make sure everything is in check. Getting your testosterone to at least above average best if it’s actually optimal is one of the best things you can do especially if you take bloodwork and have low testosterone. if a young guy is trying to go onto TRT and he already has pretty good levels of testosterone in his body around the range of 700 to 1200 then they really won’t see any difference with anything to be honest. and then he talks about how people are trying to get it online and it could be harmful to do that…. Well the point is not to get it online in the black market or whatever is to get it through a Doctor Who closely watches your blood work……. so in conclusion I’m trying to find out what is SO DANGEROUS about TRT if used properly which it actually is for the majority of people who actually need to take it. anything that is super physiological can’t even be called TRT because TRT stands for testosterone REPLACEMENT therapy. If you’re taking more than the normal amount than you are not really replacing testosterone in your body are you? I understand Chris wants to get the clicks…. Thank God for voice to text! Have a nice day everybody!

As long as you use something and don't feel the side effect you'll never say it's bad to use that. Just going on fast frequently to get it back naturally. Moral of the fact is human nature prefers spend a lot of money on something than suffer to do the free work needed to sustain his life. But when it comes to train at the gym they do it religiously, but don't afford that amount of effort to do it with others stuff. Why? Because they love what is pleasing to their flesh. People don't like fasting but prefer eating and go on a calorie deficit which is fine too. They chose what they are attracted to.

Not sure that testosterone "would feed prostate cancer" (3:10). Morgenthaler is the doc to talk to about this. Attia's numbers for total testosterone, 800-900 ng/dl, is fairly conservative. He doesn't take patients over 1,000 ng/dl. I think Dr. Rouzier would have something to say about this.

Due to my numbers, I was too high and you have to jump through so many hoops. For anyone with depression, those hoops feel like mountains.
