Vessel is a genius when it comes to that. It was the same with "High Water", "Hypnosis", and "The Offering" ... dude knows how and when to belt a really pain filled scream to epitomize his art. "If I can... HOLD MYSELF TOGETHER" "And I am ALMOST UNDER" "TAKE A BITE" He knows how and when to use a fry scream appropriately and in context. As a result, we the audience can really connect with the pain of loss he's feeling.
The "you make me wish I could disappear" section is easily my favorite part of the song. It has so much power and feeling to it and never fails to give me goosebumps and bring a tear to my eye
Another reactor said he found Vessel's voice to become grating and monotonous the more songs he heard off this album, he said he expected him to do more with his vocals. I was like geez he screams he growls he goes almost falsetto, he raps, he has that deep melodious richness in the rest of his singing...what else did this guy expect him to do?!
Eh,don't listen to those weirdos... those are the "music experts" of whom tend to be shitty and heavily biased because they're paid to talk shit pretty much.

I’m a vocalist and I’m addicted to Vessel’s dynamic voice! I think people who find it monotonous aren’t able to hear the many layers and changes in the music.
Ok, I have a theory on this one: "Diamonds in the Trees" = Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) "Pentagrams in the Night Sky" = 5-HT1A and 5-HT2 receptors "You make me wish I could disappear" = psychedelic drug induced "ego death". Along with many other references throughout the song that could be psychedelic related (even the title). So in this song he recalls the time he did DMT with the girl that all their songs are about (the one that dumped him...ultimately that's what all 3 album are about) and it messed her up (even worse than she already was, and she was already a mess) so that's why in the next song she exhibits self harming behavior.
Nice! I would not be the least bit surprised if you were completely right. He loves writing in all that scientific stuff. “Cause I look for Scarlett and you look for ultraviolet” and all of Alkaline. So fricking cool!
Nice, Although the song "Are you really alright" is him talking to his past self. "DYWTYLM" is him talking to himself in a mirror. And while the trilogy references a very toxic relationship with someone he is heavily infatuated with who hurts him and he ultimately ends up leaving in the end, its all a metaphor for his past and life in general, not specifically a single person. Could be a collection of emotions and thoughts from multiple bad relationships and how he has to come to terms with his trauma, acceptance, and healing to move forward. There is a significant amount of word play, analogy, and metaphor in all of his lyrics, so it would seam to me that the whole trilogy is an analogy for something else. The lore is that all of the songs they make are an offering to the goddess Sleep, so that they may be blessed with rest and dreams rather than sleeplessness and waking nightmares.
Korn made harder songs than sleep token (text and tone) , but for me, they both are gods. So try light “Tearjerker”, “4U” and more heavy “Falling away from me”. Maybe you find something in this band.

Love how the song goes from ballad with piano, rap break, to all out metal breakdown. So, so good. Their signature really! Every single song I am impressed by II's creativity in using the drum kit to write and perform. He uses digital drumming mixed with the full regular set up. A song to check out is Bloodsport and the live version "from the room below and the covers he has done. The live ones are just pure emotion from his voice and absolutely heart wrenching. But Bloodsport is my new current favorite from their first album (deluxe album has the covers)
I can totally relate to you when you say "it didn't hurt me enough" that's one of those things about Sleep Token that they do so well, much better I think than a lot of artists where you don't just listen, you feel it.
This band if perfect for the two of you. The hip hop head gets all the lyricism you could ask for and of course the metal head get's a pleasant departure from the typical metal, but it's still there.
Sorry but you 2 threw me into their rabbit hole of a very dope discography they have. Can't wait for you to still get everything they have. This track in particular got me hooked and I still gravitate to it. 🔥😢😎💯
One of my favourites the lyrics hit you so hard. Vessel is a lyrical god multi talented and always in tune with his inner self. Ps love watching you guys ❤
Wow the lyrics & the rhythm & the tone of his voice is just amazing. Thank you for doing this video. This is my 1st time hearing this particular artist and I've enjoyed it tremendously. Keep up the great work!
I couldn’t put my finger on the type o negative for a solid couple days when I first heard it but you got it right on the spot. And you even called it before it actually got to that Christian woman spot! Love y’all’s reactions to some amazing music!
Amazing reaction. I love your channel and I suggest Euclid, Aqua Regia for a mellow song, and The Offering - Vore if you want something heavy! Can't wait for more.
You guys have a decent amount left on the album. I would suggest checking out the rest of the singles before checking out the other songs. But it doesn't really matter. Here is what you have left that can be done anytime: - The apparition - Vore - Aqua regia - Granite - DYWTYLM (try and guess what that means before you listen (: ) - Rain Now the final track Euclid I significant. I would recommend one of the following options for artistic sake. Option A: go back and listen to some of sundowning. Option B: listen to only the first track of sundowning. Option c: start sundowning listens after you do Euclid. The song has a lot of call backs lyrically, melodically, and instrumentally. You might not be as hardly hit by these in general but it might be cool to hear Euclid and be trying to find where these little parts come from as you go back to the start of this trilogy. Only if you decide to. otherwise the little dip into sundowning or tge 1st song from sundowning should be sufficient.
I know older video but I had to say I just found sleep token from Will Ramos cover of chokehold. Honestly sleep token is becoming my favorite band all around I play them nonstop all the time
You are correct. The singer vessel does all the writing and recording with the exception of drums. The drummer II does all of those. The guitarist and bassist are live only. The bassist has been there from the first live show. The guitarist is now the 3rd one. They seem to be set now though.
Nobody is prepared for this song. I love watching reactions to it. Seeing men listen to this and really take it in is so beautiful and what our society needs.

Sound like the "hip hop head" may be expanding his musical interest! Love you guys so much!
Ascencionism is one of my fav in the album, in the same Vore, this 2 is so amazing, i cant choose for real ♥
A song to check out is Bloodsport and the live version "from the room below and the covers he has done. The live ones are just pure emotion from his voice and absolutely heart wrenching. But Bloodsport is my new current favorite from their first album (deluxe album has the covers)
Glad you guys enjoyed it!! You're gonna love the rest of the album too :)
I freaking adore sleep token 💕, I love your reaction guys
The Apparition is what you want...and what you need !!!
could watch you guys all day. such amazing chemistry together. thank you for these reactions ☺
I can totally relate to you when you say "it didn't hurt me enough" that's one of those things about Sleep Token that they do so well, much better I think than a lot of artists where you don't just listen, you feel it.
I love this band so much. They are my favorite! I've been reacting to them every week! They have really made music exciting again.
Fucking "Lipstick chemtrails, red flags pink nail." makes my voice fetish ignite!
lol Eric that shirt is awesome.
Thanks for using my videos, I love this band so much I’m glad you both have discovered them
This whole album is fire.... Vessels voice is so damn hypnotic to me.
Side note... LMFAO love your shirt Eric.... hahahaahaha
YESSSS!!! Thank y’all for this one!!! ❤❤
OMG YES, I was out of OH and missed this yesterday. Best way to start relaxing on Sunday eve back
The goosebumps this gives me every time. This live was so intense. Everyone was crying and hugging and dancing a screaming. Just epic.
I wanna know what that shorty was doin to vessel for him to even conceive the thought of this
"They're like a warm blanket"... with holes in it.
?
Vessel and 2, the drummer write everything
So glad you guys did this one. One of my favorites!
One of my favourites the lyrics hit you so hard. I totally get what Eric saying as an alternative metalhead that listens and appreciates different genres I love Typo Negative and Steel does have that depth to his music. Vessel is a lyrical god multi talented and always in tune with his inner self. Ps love watching you guys ❤
I love when the heavy part comes in, then pauses, then drops even heavier haha
Wow the lyrics & the rhythm & the tone of his voice is just amazing. Thank you for doing this video. This is my 1st time hearing this particular artist and I've enjoyed it tremendously. Keep up the great work!
Love how intensely into these lyrics you guys get - y'all appreciate the heck out of it! Love to see it!
Can't wait for more.
its been super fun watching you guys succumb to the beauty of sleep token.
by now i'm guessing both the heads, hip-hop & metal are SOLD!!! to Sleep Token, both of you fellows, take a bow to ST,...
Easily the best reaction channel i have ever came across, I have thoroughly enjoyed every single video I've watched, keep doing yo thang!!
Love yalls reactions to this album ! This is one of my favorites it hits so hard in the feels
Love you guys, you are so enthusiastic!❤
Just found your channel and you guys are phenomenal at this. Love it.
Vore with lyric video. Such a heavy song lyrically and instrumentaly. Granite for a more flow centric melody with rock
Every single song in this album is incredible and I’ve listened to it front to back numerous times
You guys have a decent amount left on the album.
I would suggest checking out the rest of the singles before checking out the other songs. But it doesn't really matter.
Here is what you have left that can be done anytime:
- The apparition
- Vore
- Aqua regia
- Granite
- DYWTYLM (try and guess what that means before you listen (: )
- Rain
Now the final track Euclid I significant.
Eric’s reaction to the switch up was pure gold! 😂❤️
Ascensionism is the anthem to my soul.
I know older video but I had to say I just found sleep token from Will Ramos cover of chokehold. Honestly sleep token is becoming my favorite band all around I play them nonstop all the time
You guys gotta hit "The Apparition" next, so many amazing hooks 🙌🏻
'You're gonna watch me ascend'. A bit of a challenge to the goddess?
Eric’s pause at the switch up was EVERYTHING! And then Kyle comes in with the maniacal laughter! 😂😂😂 YOU ALL ARE MY FAVORITE!
Kyle said my exact thought, that ST is “hauntingly beautiful”. I am late to the ST party but I am enjoying this rabbit hole I have fell in.
WOW!! Another great one!
3:44 - I've been calling him Peter Steele since I first heard them and you're the only other person I've seen call this out. Love it
3:47. FINALLY! Someone said it! Thank you, Eric!!!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS more worship! I heavily recommend Sugar and the Apparition!
I love yalls reaction! Yall should do Rain next!! 😁 It's gooooood!
You are correct. The singer vessel does all the writing and recording with the exception of drums. The drummer II does all of those.
The guitarist and bassist are live only. The bassist has been there from the first live show.
The guitarist is now the 3rd one. They seem to be set now though.
It’s a banger of a song. Also, love your reactions and just wanna hang with you guys!
Nobody is prepared for this song. I love watching reactions to it. Seeing men listen to this and really take it in is so beautiful and what our society needs.
