Thank you Leighton. A tough session but I was grateful to see the Conger at the end, a nice bit of last cast action! Hope all is well, cheers as always 👍👍
Thank you Spencer, much appreciated. Yes it's a lovely mark in fairness and the wildlife is usually on top form. The bird life is incredible, I've lost count of the number of species I've spotted there over the years. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Thank you Kev, appreciated as always. A slow session but it was nice to be out fishing again. The Conger saved the day once again ha! Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
You're welcome Wayne, pleased you enjoyed it. The video was a little short but the next one will hopefully be longer. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Very enjoyable Gareth, rewarded for helping nature out. I do enjoy fishing this time of year, some lovely colours and warm sunshine at times. Well done on the conger, perseverance payed off.. Enjoy your Sunday mate.. see you on the next leg of your journey 👍🐠🐰
Thank you Matt. Yes me too, the sunrises at this time of the year are always more spectacular. A slow session but it was nice to get the chunky Conger at the end, they often save the day. I went to film at Aberthaw last week at one of my old low water spots but I could hardly stand up, wind was very strong and the sea was too rough, although not to worry as Brixham and Gower marks coming up soon. You too mate, have a good week, take care 👍👍
Thank you Christopher, appreciated as always. A slow session but it was a nice day out and the Conger at the end was a pleasant bonus. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
Hi Gareth what a brilliant day sorry the wind was to blowey but you still made a great time of it well done with the rabbit and what a stunning conger at the end you deserved it as I have said before what a tough job making a video and fishing thanks Gareth.
Thank you Michael. Yes that wind was nasty but I just about managed to scrape a video together ha! A beautiful sunrise and I was pleased with that bit of last cast action...Conger saves the day once again! A lovely mark and I'll give it another go in November. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Yeah not for the faint hearted releasing a big fish up to your knees in silt Gar !! Lovely to see bunny run off mate , that itself satisfies the soul bud. appreciate your efforts 👍🏼👍🏼
Yes, trying to return that Conger on the mud was almost impossible but thankfully I got there in the end ha! Seeing it swim away was a great feeling. A tough session but enjoyable all the same time, was good to be out fishing again. Cheers as always mate, I appreciate the continued support 👍👍
Thanks Gareth, an entertaining watch as always. Excellent perseverance with the conger, many would have just given up and gone home. Keep up the sterling work my good man 👍
Thank you Paul. Yes it was a difficult session and I didn't think it was going to happen but the Conger came to the rescue ha! I've lost count of how many times I've not had a touch but then had a fish on the very last cast! Cheers for the continued support, much appreciated 👍👍
Hi gareth i think you should become a RSPCA ambassador keep the videos coming with your unique style never seen you make one that dissapoints me Mark from Devon 👍
Haha, funnily enough I wanted to work for the RSPCA when I was younger. Thank you Mark, I try my best to make a relaxing watch, not always easy when the weather is a little challenging but I try. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Haha many are already starting to call me that Martin, I'll be getting paranoid soon 😂. Ah yes I also love the Barry marks, many great memories. Cheers as always 👍
Yes I agree with you there Mark, it does wonders for mental health problems. When life gets on top of me, I get the rods out, usually does the trick. Thank you as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Haha thank you Geraint, appreciated as always. A quiet session but it was great to see the chunky conger at the end, they usually save the day for me! Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Ha yes, I was thinking the same actually. Glad you enjoyed the video, only a short one this time but the next one should be a little longer. Hope all is good with you, thank you as always 👍👍
Had a couple of good congers very close to that same spot recently Gareth. One was very close to ten pounds, on whole squid, pennel rig. Thanks to the two gentlemen who helped me get him up those rocks!
Nice one Stu, pleased to hear that you've had some luck down there recently. There does seem to be some big Congers around at the moment, although I guess it's that time of the year now. Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍👍
Thank you Dylan, appreciated as always. A tough session but yes, it was great to see that chunky Conger at the end, they often save the day ha! Looking forward to watching your latest upload this evening, no doubt it will be another good video. Cheers mate, take it easy 👍👍
Hi gareth you ok pal, well done on saving the rabbit , the gods repaid ya with ya conger last cast . Brilliant . And they will repay you again with getting laverd in mud puttiing her bk .All the best from GRIMSBY.
I'm good thanks Carl, hope you are too mate. A slow session but the last cast Conger saved the day once again ha! Nice mark in fairness and I'll give it another go during November. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
Yes you're right there Mike, I've lost count of how many times I've had the only fish of the day on the last cast. I was watching your videos the other night, absolutely superb...the banter, the occasion and some lovely fish too! Your name has always been synonymous with Welsh Sea Angling, one of the best in the business in my opinion. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
@@riversidewithme I've been lucky to fish with a lot of very good anglers , the days with the Team Ammo set up and TSF magazine were amazing , were you looking at the videos on Gareth Davies channel ??
@@OldFartsFishingAdventures Yes they looked like great days in fairness. I was watching both the videos on your channel and on Gareth Davies' channel. I like watching the old school anglers (not that I'm saying you're old), much respect 👍
Thank you Martin. Ha yes, that was a tough session for sure and I was pleased that the last cast Conger came to the rescue. Hopefully the Cod are not too far away now! Cheers as always, take it easy 👍👍
Another lovely video Gareth and from birds on a line to rescuing rabbits is there no end to your talent, Bit late again on making my comment been busy working in the house but always make time to watch your video's always look forward to seeing them from the lovely scenery to your excellent commentary , Looking forward to your next one and what surprise you'll have install for us , cheers, take care.
Thank you Philip, appreciated as always. No problem about the late comment, busy life isn't it. Like yourself I have a lot of work to do on my house but I'm struggling to find the time at the moment. Nice little session, a bit windy but it was nice to see the Conger at the end, saved the blank once again ha! Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you Gordon, I'm pleased that you enjoyed the video. It was a nice day out, windy but enjoyable. It was good to see the Conger at the end, a nice last cast bonus. Cheers for watching, take care👍👍
Hi Gareth, sorry for late comment, we've been down Pendine for a week, not a very good signal. Brilliant filming and music to suit. Loved the rabbit! Hope you managed to get all the mud off😂. Looking forward to the next one 🤗
Thank you Patricia, appreciated as always. Ha yes, it wasn't possible to get all of the mud off, it's there's to stay! It was a little windy but a nice session, was good to be out fishing again. Hope you had a nice time down in Pendine. Take care 👍👍
Thank you Robert. Yes I didn't realise the rabbit had mixi until I watched the footage back, nasty disease isn't it. Nice little session, wind was a pain but it was good to see the Conger at the end. Cheers for watching 👍👍
another great watch as alwayes garath alwayes look forward to them mate when your vidios are up mate nice conger i sat that was 10/11 pound mate nice to see you save the rabbit matewhen down newton last week a couple of smallyeyes and a strap conger about 3 pound hope to bump into you one day on the beach have a chat mate wont interfear with your vidios mate
Thank you Andrew, I appreciate your continued support mate. Bit of a short video but next one will hopefully be a little longer. Nice Conger wasn't it and I think you're right, felt a good 10 pounds. Well done on your Newton session, sounds like you had a productive day. I almost fished Porthcawl this week but the wind put me off, I need to get back down there soon. No doubt I will bump into you on the beach, it's certainly on the cards! Cheers mate, have a good weekend 👍👍
Boom the Conger whisperer strikes again. Keeping with the theme you might say you saved the blank by a hares breath 😂 Keep them coming Gareth, absolutely love your videos fella 👏👏👏👏
The Conger whisperer...very good ha! They are rescuing me at the moment, literally saving the blanks by a 'hares' breath 😂. Just about managing to scrape through at the moment, not many fish about on the mud but should have a bit of luck down in Brixham and then hopefully I'll be down the Gower later this month. Cheers as always Rob, much appreciated 👍👍
@@riversidewithme little bubble float over the side small hooks with squid. The wrasse were going mad for it Gareth and the small Pollack were. Used my carp stalking rod.
Another top video Gareth, some sessions go like this and you were payed back by natures gods for helping out the rabbit by getting that tidy eel, well done mate and local knowledge is key all along the coast as you know it can be very dangerous out in the mud. Keep the videos coming mate all the best. Marc 👍🏻🎣🎣🎣
Thank you Marc, appreciated as always. Yes that was a tough session, although I thought it was going to be action-packed having had a bite the very first cast ha! As you say though, that's how it goes and we can't win them all. A nice day out and it was nice to see the Conger at the end. Hope all is good with you mate, take care👍👍
Thank you Jed, appreciated as always and I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. It was a tough session but enjoyable all the same. Off to Brixham soon, will hopefully have a bit of luck down there. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
@@JedBewick-ro6qySorry Jed, this comment has only just come through to me, it went into the spam filter for some reason. Hope you had a productive session! Cheers 👍👍
Wow wow wow had me on the intro with the music and shots. Loved it all the way through lucky little rabbit and lovely conger thanks for making my evening
You're welcome Gary, pleased that you enjoyed it. Not a productive session in terms of fish but it was still nice to be out and the Conger was a welcome site at the end, can often rely on them ha! Thank you as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thank you Ed, appreciated as always. Yes it was great to see the Conger at the end as it was a super tough session. A nice day out though, very enjoyable. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
I realised that it wasn't too healthy when I watched the footage back. But yeah, I didn't want to leave it wedged in the rocks below me. Thank you, was nice to be out, a tough session but the Conger saved the blank once again. Thank you as always, take care 👍👍
Thank you Graham. Speaking to the farmer on the way back to the car, he was saying that the small rabbits are often dropped by birds of prey, hence why it may have ended up down in the rocks. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
@@riversidewithme Thanks Gareth , I was wondering how they got down there. I managed to rescue a swan years ago while I was fishing a lake. A large Pike had got its foot and tried to drag it down. I waded out and saved the swan. Don’t think the pike was too happy though. Love my wildlife.
@grahamallen3941 I think it must have either fallen down there during darkness or may be a bird of prey dropped it. Well done on saving the swan, always good to help out the wildlife when in trouble isn't it. Ha yes, I bet that Pike had a right sulk afterwards! 👍
Great stuff Gareth, well done for checking on the rabbit and the conger! Watching you present at the end with super muddy hands was comical 😁😂 Beautiful day despite the obvious wind! I’ve just had a couple of days off work and spent most of my time in 20+ degrees temperatures, you never believe it was October! Thanks again for the video, always a pleasure to watch and look after yourself 😊
Thank you Andy, appreciated as always. Ha yes, that was a tricky five minutes or so trying to return the Conger, the mud wasn't on my side at all 😂. I actually got stuck but of course I couldn't show that bit on camera! You've had some decent weather for your time off work, can't fault it. Certainly has been warm for the time of year, I was out and about yesterday and it was a teeshirt all the way, was like a summer's day. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
The conger man strikes again. Last cast happened to me on mumbles pier, about six hours without a bite and I stuffed the hook with king rag. As the bait hit the water in inches of water by the pipeline the rod went wild. People run over with a drop net and out came a whopping big bass, chuffed. Nice vid keep them coming if you can, work etc don't help.
Haha thank you Jeff, the Congers are certainly rescuing me at the moment. It seems to happen a lot doesn't it, nothing all day and a bit of action right at the end. I bet you were super chuffed with that big Bass, especially as you had a quiet session, well done! Yes work usually gets in the way. I would love to make a video every week but I just can't seem to find the time. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
The Conger King strikes again!!!! Another real enjoyable watch Gareth, you preserved in tough looking conditions & were rewarded with a great looking eel.... I'm hoping you'll be doing another video at the transporter bridge in Newport again, memories of fishing it with my Grandad over 40yrs + ago!!! Did manage a couple hours on the farm pond I've taken on.....loads of hard work but worth it.....just a whip & some maggots and some tiny tench, perch & a minute common carp, but it shows the water is thriving, so in your words....happy days!!! Anyways buddy, back to the livestock, Christmas geese & turkeys are coming on, so busy, busy, busy!!! All the best to you my friend....Jon.
Thank you Jon, appreciated as always. Yes that was a very slow session, I thought it was going to be action-packed having had that bite first cast but I guess that's fishing ha! A nice day out though and it was good to see the nice Conger at the end. Where I usually fish down at the Transporter Bridge is out of bounds at the moment as the flood defence bund is being upgraded and won't be finished until next Summer at the earliest. Although it is possible to fish the other side of the river but a little further upstream and I'm hoping to give this a go shortly. Sounds like you had some fun on the farm pond, nice variety of species there and hopefully it will continue to thrive, good stuff. Hope all good with you, hope, take care 👍👍
Thank you Alan, nice to hear from you again. Haha I'm far from incredible, although I try my best. A tough session but an enjoyable day out, just nice being out there isn't it. Hope all is well, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thank you Mick, appreciated as always. Yes I was a little concerned that I wasn't going to be able to return the Conger but thankfully I got there in the end. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Hi Gareth, I,ve only just seen the video, I went on holiday and the Internet reception was awful, not long been back, conger does the job again, plus rabbit. I got stuck in the mud once, very scary. Loved video as always. All the best from south west Wales. 👍
Hi bud, hope you had a nice holiday. I'm down in Brixham at the moment for a little break but so far it's been unfishable as the weather is too rough. Yes it is scary, I actually got stuck as I was returning the Conger but I had to delete that bit from the video. Hope all is well, cheers for watching 👍👍
Yes very true that Simon, I guess that's fishing for you. This mark can fish really well on its day but it can also be hit and miss, although I suppose a lot of places are like that. Hope all is good with you mate, enjoy the weekend and tight lines 👍👍
Cracking conger Gar 👍👍👍tough fishing at the moment (well for me anyway 😅) it's not about catching though that's a bonus . Thanks again for your video mate topman 👍 my turn tomorrow I hopefully. Take care buddy 👍
Thank you Lee, appreciated as always. Yes same for me lately, I'm just about scraping through with the odd fish ha! Like you say though, it's just nice being out there, spending a few hours next to the water and any fish that turn up are a bonus. Hope you have some luck tomorrow, tight lines! 👍👍
Thank you Nick. Yes me too, I expected a couple of fish to turn up but I guess that's how it goes. I'll give it another go in a few weeks and will see what's about then. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
You always put a smile on my face when I hear you say something has been a "Palaver". The only time I have ever heard the word used here was when my dad and his siblings would use it to describe a situation. Brings back many memories. Cracking Conger to end the session avoiding the blank. Thanks as always for the video. Always look forward to them. Have a good weekend.
Haha yes, I seem to be using that word more and more the older I get. I wasn't sure if I'd have enough footage but I just about managed to scrape a video together! A very quiet session but that's typical of the mark, great the one day and poor the next, although I was chuffed with that Conger, a nice chunk. Thank you David, appreciated as always...have a good weekend 👍👍
Hi Gareth another great video bud. Sadly that rabbit had myxomatosis mate. Hence it affected his vision and couldn't see the drop off. But nice one fir trying to save it.tight lines keith
Thanks Keith, much appreciated. Yes it wasn't until I watched the footage back that I realised that there was probably something wrong with it, although I didn't want to leave it down in the rocks which is why I moved it. Cheers 👍👍
Good effort mate. I remember many years ago fishing just in front of the lighthouse, it was derelict then and seeing something moving just under the sand, yep, there was sand there back then, it turned out to be a mole! We lifted him up on a shovel, (bait digging, yep there were plenty of worms there back in the day). I've no idea how he got there but was amazing to see him disappear under the soil on release. Cheers for bring back the memory.
Thank you David. I wonder how that mole ended up on the sand , may be it got a little disoriented. Well done on rescuing it, always a great feeling isn't it. Ah yes, I remember the lug beds down there very well, Dad and I always dug our own bait, great days weren't they. This was a difficult session but it was just nice being out and it was great to see the Conger at the end. Cheers for watching, all the best 👍👍
Another great video. You really have inspired me to get out have a go. My casting and knots need a bit of work but I got bait in the water. No fish, but to honest exactly as you say it's being out there. Need a week to recover 😆 as it's much harder work than you make it look. Thanks again look forward to the next video.
Thank you bud, I appreciate it. This one was a little tricky to film due to the wind but it was a nice little session. Yes definitely, just nice being out isn't it and any fish that turn up are a bonus, although I'm sure you'll catch a few! Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Wow Gareth what an intro sequence that was, absolutely beautiful, the music fit the camera shots perfectly 😍 This video had it all, scenery, wildlife and fishing, can’t beat it Well done on saving the rabbit and well done on saving the blank pal Top video thanks for sharing it with us 👍
Thank you Nigel. The sunrise was a great start to the session, they always seem to be impressive down there, especially during the autumn. A difficult session but it was nice to be out and the chunky Conger at the end was a nice little bonus. Lovely mark and I'll be giving it another go during November, my favourite month of the year. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching and take care 👍👍
Haven't watched the video yet Gareth, went to Brixham breakwater yesterday. Travelled down 2a.m from Rhondda. Nothing out at distance but around 10 baby Pollack and 5 Wrasse over the side out no more than 8 ft on a bubble float, size 6 hooks, little bits of squid. One of the wrasse was around 2.5 lb in weight, felt like I'd hooked I to a speed boat 😂 Tried feathering but no mackerel at the railing mark but apparently they were having one or two at the end of the breakwater. Didn't help there was speedboat racing competition whilst I was down there.
Good that you managed to get down there Rob and sounds like you had a nice session. Strong fish those Wrasse aren't they, gotta be one of the hardest fighting fish in the sea, such contrasting colours too. Ha yes I'm sure the speedboat competition didn't help matters, I can remember being there one year when the same event was taking place and it definitely affected the fishing. Great place to fish though, such a wide variety of species and makes a nice change from the usual local marks. Cheers 👍👍
Nice video Gareth 👍,enjoyed the nature watch scenic views and the music selection,,as ever fishin is much more than just catching fish ,,cheers and tightlines mate,,👍🎣🥊
Thank you Gary, I appreciate it. Yes I agree, just nice spending a few hours next to the water isn't it and any fish that turn up are a bonus. A windy day but was nice to be out again. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thank you Andrew, much appreciated. Yes definitely, just nice being out there isn't it, spending a few hours next to the water, that's what it's all about for me nowadays. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Thank you mate, appreciated as always. A quiet session but I guess that's fishing for you, the last cast Conger came to the rescue ha! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks Graham, it was certainly a challenge but I just had to carry on and eventually I managed to get it into deeper water and it swam off, that was a great feeling. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
I've been click-baited! The promise of four foot long tope off Porthcawl harbour side-tracked me but of course it was only one foot long. This is never the case with you Gareth and we all appreciate your genuine approach. Another great video, those beautiful big skies! A quick Q. What breaking strain is your reel main line & does colour make any difference?
Thank you Wayne. Yes there will never be any click bait with my videos, what you see is what you get, I don't see the point of fooling people just for the sake of extra views. Not a bad day out, it was a little windy although the sunrise was special and it was nice to see the Conger at the end. My main line is 20lbs, I use Daiwa Sensor as it's strong and reliable. I ope for the brown colour although I don't think colour makes a difference to be honest. Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍👍
Haha thanks Matt, another eventful session. Was good to get the Conger at the end, even though getting out of the mud was a challenge! Not sure if I'll get a session in next week, but busy at the moment but we'll see. Hope all is good with you and the crew, have a nice weekend 👍👍
Thank you Royston, nice to hear from you again. Special part of the world isn't it, I always feel good after spending a few hours on the mud, nice bit of therapy. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
Top video as ever mate. The state of you at the end made me laugh lol but fair play for the effort in making sure it went back. Take it easy Gar, roll on the next video 🎣🎣
Haha thanks Scott, getting that Conger back was a struggle to say the least but thankfully I got there in the end. I actually had to delete some footage of when I got stuck in the mud as TH-cam are funny about showing dangerous stuff. All good fun though and the washing machine came to the rescue when I got in ha! Cheers mate, hope you get to wet a line this weekend 👍👍
Thank you bud. Not a very fishy session but that's how it goes sometimes, I just enjoy being out there, although I was pleased to see that Conger! Hope all is well, take it easy now 👍👍
Even though you didn’t manage a lot of fish action still a very enjoyable video and god paid you back at the end with that conger for helping that rabbit to get back up the wall , I’m a firm believer in karma and this has proved me right again 😂😂 I’m so glad you didn’t lose that conger though after watching a few of your previous videos 😉
Thank you bud, appreciated as always. Yes that was a tough session although I was super pleased to see that Conger at the end, it was nice to land one for a change 😂. Yes I also believe in karma, I definitely think it's real, or at least I hope it is! Nice mark in fairness, it can fish well on its day, I'll give it another crack in November. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Another video for us to enjoy Gareth thankyou ... as for the rabbit it looked like its eye was shut usually means the start of disease which might explain why you managed to catch it their eyes should always be wide and clear.
Thank you, appreciated as always. Yes that's right, when I watched the footage back I could see that its eye was shut and swollen and so I guess there's a good chance it would have died, shame really. Cheers for watching 👍👍
@@riversidewithme couldn't wait till next film as it was a session of a lifetime me and the boy had two sizeble bass each from 46 to 55cm and a decent dab that was at dungeness think it was you wishing us good luck. Looking forward to next show for my Friday relaxation
@johnweekes8497 Sounds like you had a cracking session John, well done! Great feeling isn't it when everything comes together. I'm hoping for a good session soon, I'm only catching Congers at the moment ha! 👍
Nice one Gareth mate, The good old Conger saves the day again, though you did take a bit of a risk in the mud mate, when you came back from returning him looked like you’d been wrestling with him 😂 but at least you got him back to fight another day. Really enjoyed the video as always, liked the sound track you used in this video went well with your intro ... thanks Gareth you take care mate 👍🎣🎣
Thank you Stephen. Ha yes, I was pleased to see that Conger at the end, I felt so much better! Returning it was a challenge to say the least, the mud there is very soft and I did get stuck a few times but it was worth it to make sure the fish went back ok. Another tough session but it was nice to be out fishing again. I'm struggling for time at the moment and so just being able to get out is a bonus. Hope you're well mate, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Fantastic video once again Gareth scenery and nature top class also the customary conger to save the day and a nice one too. Always enjoy your videos and appreciate the time and effort you put into them keep them coming Gareth.
Thank you for the comment Steve, I appreciate your continued support. A tough session but enjoyable all the same and it was great to see the chunky Conger at the end. The sunrise was pretty special, they usually are down there during the autumn. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
Well done Gareth on that conger and fish welfare mate. Yeah I could see that was deep mud. A double bonus on welfare Gareth with that rabbit as well. Lovely to see you saved him. Great video again. Bet you will be in Devon soon after the Whiting and what ever else you catch. Love it down there. See you on the next one Gareth 😊
Thank you Neil. Yes the Conger was a very pleasant site given how tough the session had been, you can't beat a bit of last cast magic can you! The wind was a little challenging but it was nice to be out fishing again. Lovely mark in fairness and it can fish well on its day. Yes Brixham won't be long now, I'm looking forward to that, should be a few fish about, something usually turns up! Hope all is good with you, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Nice one Gareth, I fished st Brides today and had a cracking little session, 2 pin whiting, a small bass and a strap conger just slightly smaller than yours.
Thank you Matt. Yes sounds like you had a good session, always nice to get a variety of species isn't it. I haven't fished St Brides for a while, will hopefully be back down there soon, one of my favourite marks. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Hello Gareth really enjoyed your latest video great intro shots and a good catch of that conger. I fished Goldcliff Wednesday this week but picked the wrong day, the wind and wave really picked up and I struggled with casting and holding the weights in position, no fish but still enjoyed the day, all the best.
@@robcollier6450Thank you Rob. It was a lovely sunrise in fairness, just a shame about the wind, made it a little tricky. Ah yes, it has been really windy this week and I can appreciate that Goldcliff would have been a struggle for you, better luck next time. I think the winds are dropping over the weekend and into next week and so there could be another fishing opportunity. Hope all is good with you, cheers as always 👍👍
Great Video Gareth. Beautiful sumrise and nature shots as always. Good on you for helping the bunny👍and saving its life. Cracking conger on the last cast and in such shallow water, amazing. Have to laugh, in your last few videos you look like you have been mud wrestling lol 😂
Thank you Andy, that sunrise was certainly special, they do seem to be more spectacular during the Autumn months. A quiet session but the last cast Conger came to the rescue and was a very welcome site. Haha yes, I do seem to be getting covered in mud of late, don't half get myself into some messy situations...think I'll fish off sand next time, bit cleaner 😂. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Bonkers windy day Gareth. Great conger catch though. Sad about the rabbit but it did look like it had Myxomatosis. The eyes were the give away. An awful disease and a devastating to rabbit population.
Thanks Pete. Yes I realised there was something wrong with it when I watched the footage back. Shame really, a terrible disease as you say. The Conger saved me as per usual, that's all I seem to catch these days ha! Cheers 👍
Awesome videos! Getting back into it after not really sea fishing since I was a kid (20 years ago). Any reason you don’t use frozen sand eel? Seemed like a popular bait back in the day.
Thank you Todd, I appreciate it, hopefully more to come soon. I do use frozen sandeel but not around Newport, moreso if I'm fishing Barry and further west where the water is clearer. Good luck with your fishing comeback 👍👍
It's right on the edge of Goldcliff, not too far from Redwick. So you would park next to the Seawall Tearooms down at Goldcliff, walk up the steps and go left, keep going until you come to the Pink House, it's probably a 20 minute walk. Thanks Byron 👍👍
Just another super episode of "Riverside With Me"
Thank you Jason, I'm pleased to hear that. A quiet session but I still enjoyed it. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thank you so much Gareth .
All the best from Co.Kilkenny

Thank you Leighton. A tough session but I was grateful to see the Conger at the end, a nice bit of last cast action! Hope all is well, cheers as always 👍👍
Evening Gareth, great video as always. Beautiful reed beds behind you, can hear the birds singing. Look forward to the next video.

I went to film at Aberthaw last week at one of my old low water spots but I could hardly stand up, wind was very strong and the sea was too rough, although not to worry as Brixham and Gower marks coming up soon. You too mate, have a good week, take care 👍👍
Another cracking video. Really good to watch keep them coming
Thank you Dave, appreciated as always. A windy day but it was nice to be out fishing again. Cheers 👍👍
@dd14748 Sounds great, no doubt you'll get some nice fish 👍

Hi Gareth what a brilliant day sorry the wind was to blowey but you still made a great time of it well done with the rabbit and what a stunning conger at the end you deserved it as I have said before what a tough job making a video and fishing thanks Gareth.
Thank you Michael. Yes that wind was nasty but I just about managed to scrape a video together ha! A beautiful sunrise and I was pleased with that bit of last cast action...Conger saves the day once again! A lovely mark and I'll give it another go in November. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍

We'll be calling you Mr. Conger! If you head down Barry way, let me know and I'll see if I can get along to say,"hi!". Keep up the good work!😊
Haha many are already starting to call me that Martin, I'll be getting paranoid soon 😂. Ah yes I also love the Barry marks, many great memories. Cheers as always 👍
Tough old life keep fishing you say ,your right more people should take up fishing for health and mind ,crack on lad ty mark cf x
Yes I agree with you there Mark, it does wonders for mental health problems. When life gets on top of me, I get the rods out, usually does the trick. Thank you as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
What a great video its the Doctor do little adventures what a last cast fish brilliant as always
Haha thank you Geraint, appreciated as always. A quiet session but it was great to see the chunky conger at the end, they usually save the day for me! Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
"The Rescued Rabbit & The Muddy Fish" - it sounds like the title of a children's bedtime storybook. 😄 Another enjoyable video, thank you, Gareth!
Ha yes, I was thinking the same actually. Glad you enjoyed the video, only a short one this time but the next one should be a little longer. Hope all is good with you, thank you as always 👍👍
Well done Gareth ,great vid
Thank you Brian, always appreciated. Hope all is well, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Lovely job mate, saved the blank with a chunk of an eel, but the rabbit was the best for me, nice one buddy.🎣🎣👍👍
Thank you Dylan, appreciated as always. A tough session but yes, it was great to see that chunky Conger at the end, they often save the day ha! Looking forward to watching your latest upload this evening, no doubt it will be another good video. Cheers mate, take it easy 👍👍

I'm good thanks Carl, hope you are too mate. A slow session but the last cast Conger saved the day once again ha! Nice mark in fairness and I'll give it another go during November. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
😊 well done Gareth nice video lovely conger you need to try another mark your always covered in crap 😂😂
Haha you're not wrong there Darren, I should probably fish off some sand instead ha! Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
Captain Conger strikes again !!!! Cracking video as always ,proves the point you never know when your gonna get a bite, always worth toughing it out .

Nice video Gareth. Really enjoyed it, you always manage to get the best out of a session even when the fish are not too obliging.
Thank you Gordon, I'm pleased that you enjoyed the video. It was a nice day out, windy but enjoyable. It was good to see the Conger at the end, a nice last cast bonus. Cheers for watching, take care👍👍
Always a good video. The rabbit looked like it had got myxomatosis
Thank you Andy. Yes when I watched the footage back I could see something was wrong with it, poor thing. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Nice one Gareth, lot of mixi about in rabbits down fontygary way but good on you making the effort. Your fish care is an example to us all 👏👏
Thank you Robert.
Keeping with the theme you might say you saved the blank by a hares breath 😂
Keep them coming Gareth, absolutely love your videos fella 👏👏👏👏
The Conger whisperer...very good ha! They are rescuing me at the moment, literally saving the blanks by a 'hares' breath 😂. Just about managing to scrape through at the moment, not many fish about on the mud but should have a bit of luck down in Brixham and then hopefully I'll be down the Gower later this month. Cheers as always Rob, much appreciated 👍👍
@@riversidewithme little bubble float over the side small hooks with squid. The wrasse were going mad for it Gareth and the small Pollack were. Used my carp stalking rod.
@tafflaff Great fun isn't it, the place is like an aquarium at times, fish everywhere.
Top bloke 👏👏
Thank you Gareth, much appreciated. Hopefully more videos to come soon. Cheers 👍👍

You're welcome Paul. It was a fairly quiet weekend for me but that made a nice change. Hope you had a good one too! Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Another great video, can always rely on the conger to beat the blank, even better when it's a nice one like that.
Thank you Ed, appreciated as always. Yes it was great to see the Conger at the end as it was a super tough session. A nice day out though, very enjoyable. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍👍
Good to see you out and about, and not blanking! Sadly the rabbit had myxie and won't make it but at least you tried. All the best.
I realised that it wasn't too healthy when I watched the footage back. But yeah, I didn't want to leave it wedged in the rocks below me. Thank you, was nice to be out, a tough session but the Conger saved the blank once again. Thank you as always, take care 👍👍
nice eel - great video
Thank you mate, appreciated as always. A slow session but it was great to see the Conger at the end. Cheers 👍👍
Great rabbit rescue Gareth, well done mate.
Another great watch mate👍
Thank you Carl. A slow session but I guess that's fishing for you. Just nice being out, taking it all in. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍👍
The last cast magic nice one mat good video 👍🎣
Thank you mate, I appreciate it. Ha yes, you can't beat a bit of last cast magic can you! Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍👍
Hi Gareth
What a fantastic video, you are without doubt an incredible guy
Keep them coming

Thank you mate. A tough session but it was nice to see the chunky Conger at the end. Hope all is well, take it easy 👍👍
Great stuff Garath thats two lives youve saved today , well done enjoyed it as usual .
That's how it goes sometimes Gareth mate👍 and to help the fish on thay way give them a pinch on the tail it halps them to wake up a bit mate👍😊👍
Yes very true that Simon, I guess that's fishing for you. This mark can fish really well on its day but it can also be hit and miss, although I suppose a lot of places are like that. Hope all is good with you mate, enjoy the weekend and tight lines 👍👍
yeah it's hit or miss on most places these days mate and have a good weekend yourself mate👍
@simonjenkins3618 Thanks bud 👍
Lovely video as always, thought it would have fished better, conditions seemed just right. Fish don't read the same books! Cheers for now.
Thank you Nick. Yes me too, I expected a couple of fish to turn up but I guess that's how it goes. I'll give it another go in a few weeks and will see what's about then. Cheers as always, take care 👍👍
Well done Gareth
Thank you Pawel. It was a little windy but a nice day out, the Conger saved the session ha! Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍👍
Cracking Conger Gareth. 🎣 Nice to see you save that rabbit too. 👍
Thanks Ian, I've lost count of how many times the last cast has come to the rescue ha! A bit windy but enjoyable all the same. Cheers as always 👍👍
Wow Gareth what an intro sequence that was, absolutely beautiful, the music fit the camera shots perfectly 😍
This video had it all, scenery, wildlife and fishing, can’t beat it
Well done on saving the rabbit and well done on saving the blank pal
Top video thanks for sharing it with us 👍
Thank you Nigel.
One of the wrasse was around 2.5 lb in weight, felt like I'd hooked I to a speed boat 😂
Tried feathering but no mackerel at the railing mark but apparently they were having one or two at the end of the breakwater.
Really good composition - good atmospheric shots - for a lot of us fishing isn't about catching fish! Although it helps.
Thank you Andrew, much appreciated. Yes definitely, just nice being out there isn't it, spending a few hours next to the water, that's what it's all about for me nowadays. Cheers for watching, take care 👍👍
Nice to see you out enjoying your fishing again. I really enjoy your fishing videos keep up the good work. Tight lines.
Thank you mate, appreciated as always. A quiet session but I guess that's fishing for you, the last cast Conger came to the rescue ha! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Great effort to persevere and get the conger back, can’t have been easy in all that mud 👍🎣
What a session brother 🙂 Rabbit catch n cook next time 🤣🤣🤣🤣 love ya bro, great watch as always, love to Cath and all 😘 seeyou on the rocks ✌
Haha thanks Matt, another eventful session. Was good to get the Conger at the end, even though getting out of the mud was a challenge! Not sure if I'll get a session in next week, but busy at the moment but we'll see. Hope all is good with you and the crew, have a nice weekend 👍👍
No need to apologise Garth you don’t control the weather , just keep making these videos wonderful coastline Newport levels.
Another Great video mate! Stunning views! Nice conger and rabbit rescue!
Good session I'm out tomorrow let you know how it goes in next film
Thank you John. All the best for tomorrow, hope you catch a few! Tight lines 👍👍
Nice one gar magic
Thank you David, appreciated as always. That wind was a little fierce but the Conger at the end made me feel better ha! Take care 👍👍
@@riversidewithme thanks for the reply! I always used to fish ogmore/porthcawl so that makes sense!
❤
Thank you Michael 👍👍
Where this to thanks
It's right on the edge of Goldcliff, not too far from Redwick. So you would park next to the Seawall Tearooms down at Goldcliff, walk up the steps and go left, keep going until you come to the Pink House, it's probably a 20 minute walk. Thanks Byron 👍👍
Thank u
The rabbit has miximotosis gareth
Yes I realised that after watching the footage back
Not being nasty that rabbit looks like it's got mixy
Yes I think it did Stephen. I didn't realise until I watched the footage back, I could see that its eye was closed and swollen.
