Just come across your channel and instantly liked and subscribed. My Dad, my fishing buddy passed away from pancreatic cancer on the 25th of February 2022 aged 64. I bought new fishing gear ready for 2022 but he was only diagnosed in December 2021. 8 weeks from diagnosis to him passing. It still hurts so much and I haven't been fishing since. I haven't used the new gear I bought, every time I plan to go out I back out because I get so upset. I feel like shit also because my Dad was so looking forward to our fishing trips we had planned.
I'm sorry to hear that Tom, it's never easy and I can appreciate how you're feeling. I didn't go fishing for a good few months after my Dad passed and the first one back was an emotional rollercoaster. It does get easier though, time really is a great healer. And of course, all of those great memories you have of the time spent with your Dad will last a lifetime and it's always nice to reminisce. I still have the occasional wobble when I'm out fishing but I guess that's to be expected. Maybe you can have a session soon now that Spring is approaching, you'll feel better for it afterwards. Thank you for becoming a channel member, it is appreciated. Cheers 👍
Another top video Gareth mate, shame on the Eel but a late skipper I knew always said if you had your hand on the leader or hook length it counts, cracking flounder looked about 2lb real chunky one. Also great to reminisce good old times of people who got us into this lovely hobby/sport. Been nearly 19 yrs since my dad passed and every time I hit the beach I think of all the times we spent fishing for pleasure and our club days at Penarth sea angling club 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thank you Marc, nice of you to say. I love this spot so much, it's a stunning part of the world and I just enjoy being there. I never see anyone fishing there but it can produce some nice fish, you never quite know what's going to turn up. Yes I bet you have many great memories of when you fished with your Dad and it's those memories that keep us going, no doubt he's with you when you're out on the shore ❤️. Yes that Flounder was a proper chunk, it took some ragworm tipped off with some Mackerel, lovely fish. Hope you manage to wet a line soon, cheers mate 👍
Having recently moved and retired to Newport from Swansea I am finding your videos a great help in settling me into the local sea angling scene and guiding me to some good marks. Just did a recce to Goldcliff this week with my dogs and looks avery fishy spot. Hopefully meet you when I am out fishing one day so I can thank you in person. Great videos with the personal touch well done.
Thank you Mark, I appreciate it and I'm pleased to hear that you're finding the videos useful. Hopefully things will start to pick up a little now that spring is approaching, won't be too long. I've not been fishing for a little while as I've been busy but I should be out again very soon. Cheers for watching and enjoy your retirement 👍
Thank you David, I appreciate that. It was a nice little session, was a pleasure being there, especially when the wind dropped. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
There's a whole plethora of fishing videos available on TH-cam, however, this is always the one channel I eagerly await. Your videos transcend just fishing - your empathy with nature, the soundtracks, and your awareness of how important it is not to be afraid to discuss mental well-being. Cheers from China (ex-Cardiff)!
Thank you bud, I appreciate that. I try my best to capture what I'm experiencing on the day, hence why I show the surroundings, nature etc as that's what gives me the most pleasure nowadays, the fish are a bonus. Yes, I have no problem talking about mental health issues, I've been in some dark holes in my time and so I guess I can relate to anyone who's struggling. I hope China is treating you well, take care 👍
Eazy Gareth you ok pal, thanks for another cracking watch. Unlucky dropping ya eel but at least you dint have to mess about with unhooking it and getting lathered in slime. Lovely flounder I've had some stonkers the last couple of sessions as they are spawning in the humber now. All the best mate from GRIMSBY
Hiya Carl, I'm good thanks mate, I hope all is good with you. Ha yes that's it, I suppose you have a point there! Well done on getting some good Flounder of late, lovely fish aren't they, one of my favourite species. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Thank you bud, always appreciated. Haha yes, I thought that too, I assumed it was a big Bass but when I lifted the rod I could tell it was a Conger. A bonus chunky Flounder too, I couldn't really complain. Cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Nic, appreciated as always. Yes we used to keep a few for the table back in the day, nice too. I'm getting soft in my old age and tend to return them nowadays. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Your Dad would be proud mate. Obviously you're still grieving and it takes time. I lost my Dad 10 years ago and it still hurts. But time does ease the pain. Cracking Flounder. That was a beaut. And I would give you the Conger too.
Thank you mate, I appreciate it. Yes you're right there, it certainly does take time, I know exactly how you feel. I was chuffed to see that Flounder, first one I've caught in ages and it certainly warmed me up. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Keep banging on about how I love your vids but cant help it . Brilliantly put together shots of rocks that have interest and most people cant see it. Conger was a capture and what a stunning flounder thanks
@@garycreasey4538Thank you Gary, always appreciated. It was a nice day out in fairness and a couple of bonus fish turned up, I couldn't grumble. Lovely spot, so much to see and film. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Brilliant yet again mate..so sorry for your loss..And if you need to cry..you do it mate..youll feel so much better for it..cant wait to see your next one...One of the best fishing vids on channel.
@peterdavies6915 Thank you Peter, I appreciate it. Yes you're right, always good to release that emotion isn't it, better than bottling it up. Hopefully more videos to come soon, cheers for watching 👍👍
Top video as always Gareth. Looked a nice chunky conger that, you had hold of the line so it counts in my book. Lovely chunky flounder too. As you said the Bristol Channel has been quite poor this winter so a few fish is a great result. As always thanks for sharing bud.
Thank you Richie, much appreciated. Yes it was an enjoyable session in fairness, some nice fish turned up and it was a pleasure being there, especially when the wind dropped. I love this mark, there's something very mysterious about it and it does throw up the occasional good fish. Hope all is good with you, cheers bud 👍
Hi Gareth Good to see you out again brilliant video mate fantastic fish and for you good memories of your past keep them coming , I’m out most Fridays fishing if you ever want company give us a message Cheers Al
Thank you Al, it was a nice day out to be fair, I couldn't really complain. I love this mark, one of my absolute favourites, very mysterious. Thank you, I shall bear that in mind! Cheers for watching 👍👍
You're welcome Nigel and thank you for the comment, much appreciated. Not been out for a while as I've been busy with work etc but hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
Great vid as usual gareth big respect as allways hope ur doing well. Give u that conger thats the best way 2 catch them so u ant got to handle it im afraid ov them always have been lol.
I'm good thanks bud, I hope you are too. Ha yes you're probably right, quick release with those is usually the best way. I don't think you're alone, lots of anglers don't like them ha! Thank you for watching, take it easy 👍
Nice little session that and I’ll definitely give you that conger 👌 get yourself down the gower in the summer when the spider crabs are in and give the bass a go
Thanks bud, it was a pleasure being there, especially when that wind dropped. Yes definitely, I love the Gower, some stunning marks down there and I'm looking forward to it. Cheers as always, take care 👍
I always laugh when you say, "Cheapy Old Boat Rod!" Hahahahaha! That old thing could have a show of it's own! One thing I love about your channel over others is that you capture all the bites (or as many as you can) For me, that is the most exciting part and I feel like a kid again on the beach with my dad, waiting for that rod tip to move....I even used to sing a song to the fish in the hope that it would make them bite! hahaha! Thank you always mate for all you do, the risks you take, the effort you make and the love and appreciation you have for nature and the fish you catch. God bless and protect you on all your adventures! Don't worry about that conger...we saw it!! Cheers!
Thank you Lee, much appreciated. Yes that cheapy old boat rod has caught me some fish ha, many good memories, it was Dad's actually, he often used it. Yes I try to film the bites if I can, although sometimes I do miss them if the camera is off for example. You're welcome, hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck, cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Daniel, pleased you gave me the Conger ha! It was a lovely session, I love that spot, just a nice place to be. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Great video again Gareth, looked a bit cold mind, cracking flounder that mate and yes you can have the conger lol and as everyone knows all fish count double on a work day 😂 Take care pal and thanks for sharing it with us all 👍
Haha well I didn't know that fish count double on a work day but it sounds good to me 😂. Yes that North Easterly wind was biting but in fairness it completely dropped just after high water and it became very pleasant. A chunk of a Conger and an old-school Flounder, I was happy with that! Hope all is well Nigel...enjoy the weekend 👍
As far as conger fishing is concerned for me, that was a perfect catch and release. I catch so few off the shingle in Kent that each one feels like wrestling an anaconda. I was lucky enough to fish for cod in the 60's as a child and caught all my biggest fish on Folkestone pier in 1966 and 1967, using a 7ft solid fibre glass rod that never seemed to bend. Oh for yesterday's fishing with today's tackle.
I should have said that I was demonstrating how to catch and release a Conger, would have looked very professional ha! From the Spring onwards we get loads of Congers up this way, although I'm quite grateful as other species have drastically declined in numbers. Sounds like you had some great cod fishing back in the day, I would have loved to have experienced that. Yesterday's fishing with today's tackle...what a combination! Thank you Robert, appreciated as always 👍
Great vid again G, you had that snake at your feet and lifted it, it’s a score I’m extremely happy when I get em that close and they straighten hook and slip away, done st brides last night 1 pin between 3 rods, the BC been stupidly poor this last 3 months, when you planning on hitting NELLS 😉
Thank you Andrew, I enjoyed that one, nice little session at one of my favourite marks. Unlucky on the St Brides session, it's been super tough lately hasn't it, never known it so bad. I almost filmed down at Nells Point last week but the weather put pay to that. I'll hopefully be down there before too long, on the rough on the left-hand side. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Found myself smiling throughout this video Gareth, thank you. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into these. Proper chunky flounder and absolutely am giving you the conger- we could see it clearly when you had the line in your hand! Also, keep the faith. Thanks for sharing your half day with us, love your knowledge, honesty, gsoh, emotions, the lot. You are what makes these videos entertaining, fish or not 😊 Take care of yourself too and look forward to the next one, wherever it may be 😁🎣
Thank you Andy, that's nice of you to say and I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. I really enjoyed this session, it's one of my favourite marks, such a mysterious place. Lovely Flounder wasn't it, I was super chuffed to see it, they bring back such great memories. I appreciate your continued support, cheers for watching and take care 👍❤️
Great vid Gareth! Course you had the conger. You just saved yourself doing the messy, slimey bit! And possibly a broken ankle!!! Better safe than ouch! That cheapy old boat rod does you proud every time.
Thank you Martyn, I appreciate it. Aye you're not wrong there, I've come close many a time to breaking a bone or two on those rocks! It certainly does, often outfishes my two main rods ha! Enjoy the weekend 👍
Great content again, cracking flounder and giving you that cougar all day long as well t was at the rocks for me. Fully on board with moments where memories just hit ya out of the blue. Very real emotion.
Thank you Steve, much appreciated. I was super chuffed to see that Flounder, an old school chunk! Yes that bit of emotion at the end literally came from nowhere, I guess these things happen as you say. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Thank you mate, nice to hear from you again. Yes I was gutted when it came off, it was a right old chunk! Hopefully more to come soon, have a nice weekend 👍
Hi Gareth. Great video AGAIN. I can’t get out much myself at the moment, waiting for a knee op. You are keeping me going. Carry on my boy. I’m loving your content.
Hi Ronald. I'm pleased that the videos are keeping you going, hopefully that knee op isn't too far away now and you'll be able to wet a line once again! Thank you for watching, take it easy 👍
Thanks for another great fishing video, love the warmth you exude. Lived in Swansea for a few years(92-2001) and fished the local marks, back home in Geordieland now and started fishing again. Keep up the good work my friend and tightlines.
Thank you Kevin, I appreciate that. It was a nice little session in fairness, I didn't expect to catch anything to be honest as it's been very quiet of late. I've never done any fishing up in the North East but some of the marks look great and I'm jealous ha! Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Thank you Neil. Yes I was gutted that I couldn't get that Conger on the bank, it was a chunky old thing. But the Flounder made up for it, I was chuffed when I saw it emerge from the water! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Jason. Yes I'd like to think that he would be. Although I suspect he was laughing at me when the Conger came off ha! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
That's it, my cheapy old boat rod is getting dusted off and coming Shore fishing with me from now on! Great vid as always, cracking flounder, give you that conger all day long.
Yes go for it Charles, your catch rate will significantly increase ha! Thank you, it was a really enjoyable session, a pleasure being there and it was great to see the chunky Founder. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Thank you bud, I appreciate it. I enjoyed this one, it's a lovely part of the world and some bonus fish turned up too, happy days. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Nice one Gareth another cracking video, I, ll give you that conger, we all saw it, and yes dancing about on wet rocks can be lethal, I fell a few years back, opened my leg down to the bone. Got loads of memories of old fishing trips with people who are not with us anymore. Never forget. Well Gareth all the best from south west Wales. Have a great weekend. Ps come on Wales. 👍
Thank you bud, appreciated as always. I hope that gout is easing up a little. Yes those rocks are very tricky, especially when wet and they've lost me a lot of fish over the years ha! Ouch, sounds like you picked up a nasty injury there, I bet that was painful when you fell! Great to keep the memories alive isn't it, always good to reminisce. You too, have a good one and enjoy the match 👍
Great to see you at one of your regular spots, lots of memories for you, which is a big part of fishing for lots of us. Cracking flounder mate and we’ll definitely give you the conger, safely returned using the Plumb quick release method for conger wellbeing 😉. Brilliant Friday night watch, looking forward to your next outing. Suggestions for flounder, Loughor or Ferryside, which is near your Pilgrims Rest video and easy fishing with views of the castle.
Thank you Steve, I appreciate it. Yes it's one of my favourite spots, I just love being there and something often turns up. Yes I think my method of returning Conger is efficient and professional...that's what I keep telling myself anyway 😂. The Flounder was a great sight, used to catch loads of those back in the day but not that common around this way now, bit sad really. Both the Loughor and Ferryside are on my to-do list, I have fished the Loughor before but not for ages, lovely isn't it. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you bud, it was a nice little session, was a pleasure being there. I was chuffed with that Flounder, an old school chunk that one! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Leighton, I appreciate that. Haha it certainly is, it often out-fishes my other rods ha! Lovely spot, one of my favourites, just a nice part of the world. Hope all is good with you... cheers mate 👍
Hi Gareth … You talk quite a bit in your video’s about the wonderful memories you have of the hours spent fishing various venues with your Dad. You are very lucky to have all those memories and can reflect on good times. I lost my Dad last week and like you have lots of wonderful memories of time spent fishing with my Dad younger brother and mum to. I no in time it will be nice to return to those venues and reflect on better times and no doubt I will get emotional to. Nothing wrong with showing a of emotion mate we are both so lucky to have had such wonderful Dad’s … take care mate ❤🎣🎣
I'm very sorry to hear that Stephen. It sounds like you also have some great memories of spending time with your Dad and they will last a lifetime. Of course, it's not easy at first and I can appreciate what you are going through. Time is a great healer and it will get easier and when you're ready, you can indeed visit some of those places again and I'm sure your Dad will be looking down on you. Yes I agree, nothing wrong with a bit of emotion, it's all part of being human. Take it easy mate, look after yourself ❤️
Wouldn't be a Gareth video on the mud, if he didn't get his obligatory conger!!!...😁....Real cracking flounder too!! Another great watch mate & I agree, your Dad would be very proud....memories are something that can never be taken away from you. Real bad flooding up here in Hereford, so busy moving stock around to higher & drier ground....so it was great to 'kick back', relax & watch your latest instalment. Anyways, have a great weekend buddy....all the best, Jon
Haha you're not wrong there Jon, I can't keep away from the mud, it's addictive! An enjoyable session in fairness, it was a pleasure being there and I was happy to get a couple of bonus fish, the Flounder was an old-school chunk! Yes you're right, those memories will last a lifetime and I love keeping them alive by fishing the marks that are special to me. Sounds like you've had a bit of a nightmare with all of the rain, can't be easy moving stock...I'm pleased that the video provided you with some chill time. Cheese as always, take care 👍
Great video as ever mate! Hell of a flounder that, well done 👍🏻 Strange how you get those moments isn’t it, just a little memory sparks all those feelings. Take care Gar, look forward to the next video 👍🏻
Thank you Scott. I didn't expect anything to be honest and so it was nice to see a couple of bonus fish. Yes that Flounder was a proper chunk, we used to catch loads like that back in the day and I think that's why I probably got a little emotional at the end as Dad loved fishing for Flounder. Hope all is good with you mate, enjoy the weekend and tight lines! 👍🐟
Thank you Kevin, nice of you to say. I enjoyed this one, it's such a nice part of the world and I was grateful that some fish turned up, a lovely bonus. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Beautiful video , that was a really large flounder , that might have been my tea ...As for getting emotional , absolutely nothing wrong with that .. Can't wait for next video , at your own pace .😊
Thank you Andy, I appreciate it. Yes that Flounder was a chunk, like a blast from the past. I often used to keep them but I'm getting soft in my old age and I return them now. Aye that's it, I often get emotional when talking about Dad, it just kinda comes out unexpectedly. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Norman. My energy levels were low when I got home from this one, mentally and physically exhausted haha! Hope all is good with you, enjoy the weekend 👍
Always a nice peaceful and thoughtful session interspersed with the occasional fish, as it should be. Miss my dad too, who was my fishing partner and as my annual trout season kicks-off this week it always brings back the joy of fishing with him but also the sadness of loss, nothing wrong with that and made us who we are. x
Thank you bud, I appreciate it. Yes I enjoyed that session, it was a pleasure being there and a couple of bonus fish turned up too, couldn't fault it. Ah yes, I bet you have lots of good memories of you and your dad fishing together, memories which will last forever, with lots of stories to tell no doubt. I hope you have a good trout season, I'll probably have a dabble on my local river at some point with either worm or fly. Cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Jay, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Cracking Flounder wasn't it, I don't catch many of those nowadays, they were very common when I was a kid. Cheers for watching, take care 👍

This time tomorrow you'll be in Brixham, hope you have a good time and no doubt you'll get a few fish! Wish I was going ha, love it down there, just a nice place to be. Nothing better than half day and an afternoon spent surrounded by nature. Great video again. The editing and pacing in these videos is top notch. Very watchable. The sound of the sea is so hypnotic.
Absolutely Paul, I agree with you there...being next to the water and surrounded by nature is a great tonic isn't it. Thank you, nice of you to say, the low light made filming a bit tricky but I just about managed it. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Ed. I was chuffed with that Flounder, I don't catch many of those anymore. Hope you've been managing to get a few sessions in. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Robert. Yes definitely, often is the case that I catch nothing at range, with all of the action being very close in, I've had so many sessions like that over the years. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Thank you bud, appreciated as always. Ha, yes I think it would make a great band name, cheers for the idea...if anything comes of it, I'll make sure you get your royalties cheque every year 😂. Take it easy 👍

Thank you Philip, appreciated as always. I love fishing at this spot, it's a stunning part of the world and always quiet, very rarely see anyone else fishing there. Bit of a walk but I don't mind that. Seeing that Flounder warmed me up, used to catch loads like that back in the old days but not so many now, sad really. Yes the emotions often come out when talking about Dad, it just kinda happens you know...he was probably laughing at me when I was trying to land that Conger ha! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍

Another great session cracking flounder and the congers a catch as far as im concerned if you see it, it counts. Think theres a lot of us who used to fish with our dads who are sadly not with us anymore (5 years this year for me) it stll hurts I always have a chat to him when im fishing! Thanks for the regular uploads and the time you take to record and edit for us much appreciated 👍
Thank you Joe, appreciated as always. Nice little session in fairness, seeing that Flounder was a great site! Ah yes, it's nice that you still talk to your dad when out fishing, I'm sure he's with you. I do the same and especially when I'm fishing, comforting isn't it. You're welcome, hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck. Have a good weekend 👍
Another great video Garth thanks , at least the congar was nice enough to leave you the rod so it worked both ways, at least he hasn't got a hook rusting in his mouth . Can't believe you didn't have that flounder in the pan 😂 .
Ha yes, the rod just about survived! Yes you're right, it's never nice knowing that a hook is going to be stuck in the fish's mouth. Back in the day we used to keep a lot of Flounder but now I return them all, must be getting soft in my old age 😂. Cheers as always Mick, take it easy 👍
Brilliant video once again Gareth much appreciated the time and effort that you put in. Some nice fish as well which is a bonus especially how the fishing has been lately it’s been hard. Some lovely scenery too looks like a lovely place to fish and obviously holds some cherished memories for you. Keep up the good work Gareth I always look out for your videos and thoroughly enjoy them.
Thank you Steve, I appreciate the kind words. I really enjoyed this session, it was beautiful when the wind dropped, pleasure being there. It was nice to get some bonus fish, I really wasn't expecting much at all, the Flounder was a lovely surprise. Yes this particular mark holds many good memories for me, I can still picture my Dad walking down the rocks to land the fish, great days they were! Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend 👍
Thank you Ian, nice to hear from you again. It was a great little session, was a pleasure being there, an enjoyable day out! Hope all is well, take it easy 👍🐟

Thank you Ronnie, I appreciate that. Yes me too, I always get excited when I catch a nice Flounder, simply because they are not so common around these parts anymore, I'd love to see them make a comeback one day. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Darren, appreciated as always. I was chuffed with that Flounder, we don't see many of those anymore down this way. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Love your videos gar, so down to earth, i must admit ibe just started out sea fishing and am yet to catch after 3 attempts, but you videos give me hope ! As you have said many times, its about been out in the fresh air, just subscribed keep it up gar!!!👍
Thank you Alex, I appreciate it. Yes that's it, spending a few hours next to the water and getting some sea air is what it's all about and the fish are a bonus. Difficult time of year on the Bristol Channel at the moment but things should start to pick up soon and no doubt you'll catch a few! Cheers for watching 👍
Thank you for posting such lovely videos. I always look forward to your next one. Cracking flounder and yes, you can claim the conger! The cod have been very elusive this year so no shame in not picking one up there Keep up the great work Gareth
Thank you Rod, appreciated as always. Yes I was chuffed with that Flounder, a proper old-school chunk! It was an enjoyable session in fairness, I just enjoy being there. Yes the Cod have been very few and far between, maybe we'll get a bit of a spring run of them. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Nice video mate again love watching your video nice conga that was never mind tide lines great video again take care
Thank you Gareth. For another nice video. Hope to you out local soon Penarh. barry or Peterston many thanks Paul.
You're welcome Paul, I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Yes no doubt I'll bump into you at one of those marks. Thank you for watching, take care 👍
Great video again Gareth what a cracking flounder. I thought the cheapy boat rod was going in the water for a bit lol. Look forward to the next one
Thank you bud, always appreciated. Haha yes, I thought that too, I assumed it was a big Bass but when I lifted the rod I could tell it was a Conger. A bonus chunky Flounder too, I couldn't really complain. Cheers for watching 👍
Great vid! Fantastic flounder, that one would have been coming home with me for tea. Keep the vids coming and tight lines 👍🏼
Hi Gareth
Good to see you out again brilliant video mate fantastic fish and for you good memories of your past keep them coming , I’m out most Fridays fishing if you ever want company give us a message

Thank you Al, it was a nice day out to be fair, I couldn't really complain. I love this mark, one of my absolute favourites, very mysterious. Thank you, I shall bear that in mind! Cheers for watching 👍👍
It’s just nice to hear your views on life and of course the fishing it’s like having a mate on line, you involve everyone and thank you
You're welcome Nigel and thank you for the comment, much appreciated.
Another good video m8 I'll give you that catch for that decent conger and the flounder was a good bonus well done m8
Thank you Kirk, I appreciate that. Yes it was great to see that Flounder as I don't catch many of those anymore. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Superb video again. Im gonna give u that congor this time only 😂 keep ur head up pal 👍
Thank you Daniel, pleased you gave me the Conger ha! It was a lovely session, I love that spot, just a nice place to be. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Brilliant video
Thank you Dai, much appreciated. I'll hopefully be out again soon. Cheers 👍
Great video again Gareth, looked a bit cold mind, cracking flounder that mate and yes you can have the conger lol and as everyone knows all fish count double on a work day 😂
Take care pal and thanks for sharing it with us all 👍
Haha well I didn't know that fish count double on a work day but it sounds good to me 😂.
As we say in Scotland,I’d follow the craws a hundred miles for a flounder like that 🤣🤣the conga is a given 👍,looking forward to the next one.
Haha very good William, I like that! I enjoyed the session, it's just a nice place to be and the fish are a bonus. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
That's a proper flounder Gareth!! And I'll certainly give you the conger too.
Thank you Martin, I appreciate that. Couple of nice fish and a bit of sea air, I couldn't really complain! Take care 👍
Great video and your a great lad,dad would be proud, keep doing what your doing mate
Thank you Mick, I appreciate it. Hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck. Cheers for watching 👍
What a shame you didn’t land the conger ,I would say it still counts. Tight lines mate . Keep these videos coming please .
Thank you mate, nice to hear from you again. Yes I was gutted when it came off, it was a right old chunk! Hopefully more to come soon, have a nice weekend 👍
Awesome flounder there Gareth and as for the conger eel we seen it so you caught it mate👌👍🎣
Thank you Simon, much appreciated Lovely Flounder wasn't it, I was chuffed when I saw it emerge from the water! Hope all is well, enjoy the weekend 👍
Great video as usual mate yes I’ll give you the conger😂😂
Very kind of you Andy haha! Thank you, I really enjoyed this session, bit spooky but enjoyable! Cheers for watching 👍
Great video Gareth. AHHHH...... shame about that conger coming off but hey that was a cracking flounder mate. Brilliant editing Gareth 👌
Thank you Neil. Yes I was gutted that I couldn't get that Conger on the bank, it was a chunky old thing. But the Flounder made up for it, I was chuffed when I saw it emerge from the water! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Nice little session that . Few fish good weather bit of peace, you cant ask for more fella
Exactly Gareth, what more can you ask for. Lovely spot there, just a nice place to be. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Hey Gareth, he'd be so proud of you and your amazing channel. "Never forgotten kiddo"
Another great watch, looking forward to the next one 👏👏
Thank you Scott, I appreciate it. Hopefully more to come soon, cheers for watching 👍
Great session mate, had my adrenaline racing with that bite and conger, have a great weekend!
Thank you Gaz, it was an enjoyable session in fairness, I couldn't really complain! Yoo too, have a good one...cheers 👍
Another great video gareth.. it's great to see you back and giving honest great content... keep it up mate
Thank you bud, I appreciate it. I enjoyed this one, it's a lovely part of the world and some bonus fish turned up too, happy days. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Excellent short session, love all the videos take care and keep well 👍
Thank you Jonno, I appreciate it. Hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck.
Love these videos. My new favourite YT channel
Thank you Marc, glad you're enjoying them. Cheers 👍

Great video as always love watching your fishing adventures
Thank you Martyn, much appreciated. This was an enjoyable session at one of my favourite marks. Hopefully more to come soon 👍

Great video again looking forward to seeing more and wee will gave you that one

Always a pleasure. Wish I had your energy , thank you 😊
Thank you Norman.
Excellent content Gareth as usual. Really enjoyed being out on another session with you. What a fat flounder that was. Keep it up mate.
Thank you Jay, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Cracking Flounder wasn't it, I don't catch many of those nowadays, they were very common when I was a kid. Cheers for watching, take care 👍

As always fantastic video. Lovely flounder and that conger definitely counts.
Thank you Ed. I was chuffed with that Flounder, I don't catch many of those anymore. Hope you've been managing to get a few sessions in. Enjoy the weekend 👍

great fishing channel and a lovely guy
Thank you Bob, I appreciate that, nice of you to say. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
Outstanding Gareth! Mudfish Emotion would be a class name for a band. They'd play dirty Southern swamp rock I reckon!😂 Great to see you back bud!
Thank you bud, appreciated as always. Ha, yes I think it would make a great band name, cheers for the idea...if anything comes of it, I'll make sure you get your royalties cheque every year 😂. Take it easy 👍

Thank you Michael, I appreciate your continued support. It was a lovely session, the wind dropped and a couple of bonus fish made an appearance, that Flounder was an old-school chunk, brought back some great memories and I think that's why I got a little emotional at the end...Dad loved his Flounder fishing. Cheers for watching, have a great weekend 👍
Nice to see the successful return of the Cheapy old boat rod. Definitely giving you that conger, Gar! Great video as always.
Thank you Matthew, nice of you to say. Ah yes, the cheapy old boat rod was on top form in fairness, it served me well ha! Hope all is well, take it easy 👍
Great video as always Gareth. If that was me m8 I would be glad the conger came off! That was one cracking flounder. Wow. Cheers for now.
Thank you Nick, much appreciated. Ha yes, I don't think you're alone there, lots would have been pleased that it came off! I was chuffed with that Flounder, a blast from the past that one! Cheers for watching, take it easy! 👍
That conger was 100%, mate. And being as you would release it,I would say it was a bonus that it released itself. Great video Gareth. Cheers mate.
Thank you Angus, much appreciated. Yes I think you have a point there, was probably a good thing that it came off and released itself! A nice little session and it was lovely when the wind dropped. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Lovely enjoyable video. I'll have to get my own cheapy old boat rod out of the garage and start using it off the shore!! Look after yourself.
Thank you Tony, I appreciate it. Ha yes I don't blame you, certainly worth a bash! Mine is battered but it wouldn't be the same if I rebuilt it! Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Another lovely Video Gareth, I did watch the Brixham video but couldn't remember if I made a comment on it, It's an age thing 😁, But that must have been a very enjoyable session with the amount you caught , I will definitely give you the conger catch on this one and the flounder looked a cracking fish , getting a bit emotional at the end just shows the love you had for your Dad , he would be very proud of you, tight lines and look forward to your next adventure , Cheers butty.
He was there with you Gareth. No doubt .
Of course you count that conger.
Yes you're right Jeff, I'm sure he was. It was a great session to be fair, I just enjoyed being there to be honest. Hope your wife is continuing to do well. Take care 👍
You always come up with goods Gareth! A really good video and yes, the Conger is yours so don`t beat yourself up. We have all been there at one time another. Just keep doing what you are doing. All the best Gordon.
Thank you Gordon, that's nice of you to say. Yes you're right, I guess losing fish is a part of what we do. A lovely session though, it was a pleasure being there. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
I always enjoy your videos Gareth, a great mix of fishing and nature. Looking forward to the next one 👍
Thank you Gary, nice of you to say. I enjoyed this session, it was a pleasure being there and a couple of bonus fish turned up too, lovely! Cheers for watching 👍
Cracking flounder , looks like the conger magnet was still in your pocket too😅 ......
Ah yes, I had that Conger magnet specially made, you can't buy them in the shops! Thanks Mike, that Flounder was a good sight, chunky thing in fairness, it took a ragworm and Mackerel cocktail. Appreciated as always 👍
Just Brilliant, so enjoyable.
Thank you Tony, that's nice of you to say and I appreciate it. Cheers for watching 👍
The vids you make can be shown to family and young children, no swearing or tantrums, keep going Gareth. Take care mate.
Thank you William, I appreciate it. Yes I'm always conscious that children/families are watching and so I try my best to make a relaxing watch without swearing etc. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Nice video Gareth, lovely Flounder, i caught my last Flounder on the Gloucester canal pole and Bloodworm was the method it was only hand size but they are a lovely species
Thank you Lyndon, much appreciated. Ah nice, bet you were chuffed when you saw it, especially as it was caught on a pole! As you say, they're beautiful and every one looks different. Cheers for watching 👍
Well done mate great video 🎣👍

lovely flounder my favourite fish, thanks for another fantastic video hopefully not too long before the next

Thank you Ronnie, I appreciate that. Yes me too, I always get excited when I catch a nice Flounder, simply because they are not so common around these parts anymore, I'd love to see them make a comeback one day. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Excellent as usual Gareth. Great to see you enjoying your fishing. Great flounder 👍 take care my friend.
Good session. Unlucky with the conger, but a nice flounder 👍
Thanks Roger, it was an enjoyable session in fairness, was lovely when the wind dropped. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Thank you for posting such lovely videos. I always look forward to your next one. Cracking flounder and yes, you can claim the conger! The cod have been very elusive this year so no shame in not picking one up there
Keep up the great work Gareth
Thank you Rod, appreciated as always. Yes I was chuffed with that Flounder, a proper old-school chunk! It was an enjoyable session in fairness, I just enjoy being there. Yes the Cod have been very few and far between, maybe we'll get a bit of a spring run of them. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
