What do you have for sale? Does it get any cozier than hogsmeade? This looks intriguing. Abandoned long ago, no doubt. This might prove dangerous if I'm not careful. Come on, highwing! - Iconic lines of the protagonist
As someone who hadn't paid attention to Harry Potter in a while, this game sent me down the rabbit hole and made me a fan of the series again. It was a blast.
Same here - I had initially not been enthusiastic for Hogwarts Legacy as I thought my fan girl days of Harry Potter were behind me but as I watched TH-camrs break down trailers I began to feel an excitement for the wizarding world I hadn't felt in years. When I finally got to play the game, it was the fulfillment of a childhood dream - to create an Avatar in my likeness and be Sorted into Ravenclaw

couldn't agree more, those 2 things had me hooked. i kinda wish we had a sebastian dlc to try to right our wrongs or something like that, to try and get our redemption
True, Honestly I think they should have renamed the game with Sallow Legacy lol, coz Sebastian felt more like the Main character than the actual main character (MC)😂😂@@willewiking98
shouldve had a lot more involving the castle. There was plety to do involving teh castle but it would have been more fun if it was more castle and some forbidden forest, the lake and hogsmeade than exploring the rando areas around it. I just wasnt invested in areas as you escape those locations
The hallows didn’t come into our possession simply because it would have broken the canon. It’s very likely that the wielder of the elder wand during this time was Mykew Gregorovitch, the wand maker.
This game actually turned me into a Harry Potter fan. Prior to playing it, I had watched the movies once, about 2 years prior, and while I found them entertaining, they didn't impress me enough to want to watch them again, or read the books. While playing the game for the first time, I became more and more interested in the lore of the wizarding world, which prompted me to re-watch the movies. Since, I've seen them a couple more times, as well as watching dozens of reactions on youtube. I also started reading the books, and am currently about half way through The Deathly Hallows. I intend to read them again when I finish (probably in audio book form). I've also seen the prequel movies a couple of times. I even went to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade at Universal Studios, Florida.
I was only a casual fan of Harry Potter when I was just familiar with the movies, but after reading the books a couple of years ago, I'm a certified Potterhead. I think the reason for this is that the true magic of the Wizarding world lies in the books, the movies apart from the first two are a pretty poor adaptation of the books.
I grew up with the movies, and seen them all in theaters when I was a teen. I listened to the audiobooks all the time. I was even at the launches of the last two books, and was even in a fan film where I played a death eater, but there was one moment in the movies I hated more than any other, and that was the attack on the Weasley’s house. It literally served no purpose to the plot because their house was fine next movie. I mean in the books the Burrow was given every form of magical protection during the second wizarding war
I would've loved having a little crew with me on my adventures, having Sebastien, Poppy etc. come with me more often outside of their respective quests, have them give me advices on what to do and have our relationship evolve according to the choices I made. I often felt alone on my playthrough (the quest with the elf and the spiders brr) and while I know Harry did lots of things alone he spent a lot of time with his friends and it was one of the best aspect of the universe for me.
I'd love to know more about Ominis Gaunt. As the lore surrounding him is so interesting! He's the perfect person to open the Chamber of Secrets, as he's an heir of Samazar Slytherin, therefore a parselmouth and he's blind, so the Basilisk could never harm him. I hope we explore more of his lore in possible DLCs
This game was absolute BOSS. I've played as a Hufflepuff (my house), Ravenclaw (the house of my HP fan-fiction character), Slytherin (named him Lord Drakkon as homage to JDF). Still need to finished the Gryffindor chapter (decided to named him Fleamont Potter, James Potter's father).
Is this a Voldemort situation, or is Lord his real name? lol I’m almost done with my first play through. I got Hufflepuff after taking the official quiz for the game, I named him Ben Dover, I played him more realistically. I would be nice, but I’d use any of the three unforgivable curses at a moments notice in a fight. my second play through is going to be a Slytherin named Enoby Dark’ness Dymentia Raven Way. And yes I did fit the whole name in to the box. Though I wish they had a My Immortal mod, it would make the game so hilarious. I’m figuring out what I’m gonna do for the other two houses
I hope our mc voice direction get improves, this is their first time seeing magical stuff and yet we never quite hear that level of wonder/excitement, best example is when they ride the hippogriff for the first time
5:17 I love how you said "Rainbows and butterflies" nodding to the HP fanfiction "Carry On" by Rainbow Rowell and "Why couldn't it be follow the butterflies!"
This game turned out to be a Gateway into the Harry Potter Franchise as a whole! I liked it so much I got a Physical Copy for myself despite already having it Digitally. I went from playing this game, to watching all the Movies and now Reading all the Books. I’m also currently on my 2nd Playthrough as a Slytheryn my 1st being a HufflePuff. I also found your Channel because of all this. ❤
Hogwarts Legacy was way better then it had any right to. I've had so much fun playing through the game four different times. I only wish I could play more :D
This was an excellent breakdown, Morgan. Hogwarts Legacy and the Avalanche team deserve all the accolades they've received for the level of care they showed to the original lore from the series we all love. You're 100% right about them being true fans. I had a chance to meet and talk with some of the devs in person and what you see from them online was exactly how they were in real interactions. I don't think I enjoyed the story quite as much as you did, but the parallels to beloved characters from the original series are undeniable and I definitely understand why they did that. The Deathly Hallows mission was incredibly well done, as you said. I'd love to hear more thoughts from you on specifically WHY they were present in that trial. I still have so many questions about that one that I think the game leaves up to us to interpret!
I waited for 9 months for the game to be on sale with 50 % off and bought the game in December since then i have played every day this game is so good and adapted the franchise really good hopefully we get a 2nd game and feature that we missed in this one that people asked for
Can I just point out that your videos are sensational. So informative, well put together and ultimately what every huge harry potter fan wants: passionate about it.
The lore about the snidgets originally came from the textbook Fantastic Beasts. There was other lore from this book as well, like how centaurs consider themselves beasts in order to be separate from humans.
Every time I play the game and get to the end of Sebastian's quest line, I never turn him in because I know that he won't last long in Azakban and that he truly regrets what he did. Plus, I have reason to believe that both the relic from the catacombs and Slytherin's spellbook were affecting his mental and emotional state in a negative way, just like Voldemort's locket Horcrux was affecting the trio in The Deathly Hallows. Also, I can easily see Sebastian as a victim of emotional abuse and neglect at the hands of his uncle, who clearly did not have a single kind word to say about his nephew or his late brother (Sebastian and Anne's father).
Can't believe I never really noticed _why_ inhaling the extracted emotional pain via ancient magic made one stronger. Maybe it really is related to "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". In that regard, it's similar to how the cruciatus curse came to be, manifesting emotional pain as physical pain to the point of wanting to die to make it stop. For Harry, he eventually got strong enough to overcome the cruciatus curse entirely, being immune to it after becoming the master of death, thus making him one of the strongest wizards ever. For Isidora, she took in the emotional pain of others, and because she could see and manipulate it with ancient magic, became more powerful as a result.
It’s a very compelling very complex story of Hogwarts legacy. It really shines the light on the good and evil between wizards and goblins and like you said, it’s not sunshine and rainbows for nothing. It’s very hard and complex game…I love Hogwarts Legacy ❤💛💚💙and I love Poppy Sweeting 💛🦡 and Neville Longbottom ❤️🦁!! 2:35
13:54 In my personal headcanon, it's the MC who gets this task! I love this game and have played it constantly since I got it in November. My only small grumble is some more dialogue variations. If you do The Lost Astrolabe and Merky Depths for instance, Grace and Nerida don't seem to know you all that well. But if you are a Slytherin you would share a common room, possibly even be dorm mates. Grace could appeal to this if both her and the MC share the same house
I only did four. But I might to a fifth. I made plenty of stories based off of Hogwarts Legacy. The first four times were story one, Magic Keeper's Quartet. This fifth one will be You're a Wizard, Charlie Brown. So I might screw up on purpose a few times.
Protagonist goes through intricate cave system, multiple puzzle rooms, fighting many types of enemies along the way, and reaches a giant treasure chest Opens chest: YOU GOT NEW GLASSES AND A ROBE🥳
10:55 Well that’s not necessarily true about seeing the inside of Azkaban. The inside of Azkaban Prison was actually shown in Year 7 of Hogwarts Mystery.
I really like this take on the story, but I feel that I have to talk about your facecam. You look a lot healthier, and the lights and decorations are really nice.
as someone who watched movies as kid and read books as adult and then learned more about lore through youtube, hogwarts legacy was amazing and insanely lore accurate too, best harry potter game we ever gotten, i hope we get sequal one day, or better yet, game about the founders one day
Simon Pegg absolutely killed it as Phineas Nigellus Black. They made him just as insufferable and an ass exactly like his portrait in Order of the Phoenix.
Honestly is now a year since the game came out and this still one of the best wizardry games of all time no cap. I also love how the story in the game I give my hats off to the creators and you making the video why this game is soo good, im excited to see you making a full breakdown on the avatar the last airbender ❤
Ravenclaw was brutally shafted aside in this game. Amit wasn't even a character but a Stereotype in a Trope, Plus he is wayy to cowardly to be a combat partner lol. And giving us a companion with a questline is far thing, they didn't give us any Decent, Well written, Interesting and likeable characters. All the Ravenclaw students in the game sucked, except for maybe Samantha and Sophorina, but both of these girls are also very bland and boring, they just aren't insufferable like the Ravenclaw boys.
I had the intention of asking if you would ever come back to talk about the game and its story but I thought to myself if you had an interest in it, it would eventually come. And guess what, what a surprise. I love how even if you are not much into games you still care for this one.
I agree with your praise. It's sad how many people only zoom in on hogwarts and complain about the not being enough of it. But, this game is soo well written. Story is fantastic. World is beautiful.
Just finished the game 100% with all collectibles and first thing TH-cam shows me is this video. I love this game, it was such an amazing experience for us Harry Potter fans.
If my books (published and future ones) will be adapted to something, I hope any adaptation will be as good as this game (from what I see, it looks good). 4:04 I thought the g in the word animagus is like the legend j (even though I prefer the word as you said it here).
Thank you!!! Finally sone love for Hogwarts and to defend the game mechanics of it it was nothing groundbreaking but well done especially considering this studio's last game... was Cars 3( no I'm not joking) they were mostly responsible for the Disney infinity games before that

A really great game that exceeded my expectations and has actually gotten me watching the movies again. If I could slightly nitpick: I wish your character was the one who made the Polyjuice over an extended time, I wish you could have seen some direct Peeves vs Bloody Baron stuff around the castle, and I wish there was more with your character (regardless of House storyline) learning and using a Patronus a bunch.
I just started playing unfortunately being unable to play for a whole year, I finally got to experience it and so far Sabastians storyline is so good I've spedran other missions just to continue his story
thanks for doing this mr flame. if you still have gameplay footage, i think the fans would love to see how you react to certain shit real time. Salute 🫡
Sir, i have a question. Can u create fan fiction on youtube and be verified without getting copyright issues?. Am interested in this subject. Please reply me
To me the biggest OMG moment was Slytherin's Scriptorium and his journal entry about the four founders and the chamber of secrets. I totally didn't expect it. But overall yeah, this game's story is so faithful to the source material and I consider it a billion times more canon than The Cursed Child will ever be.
I like this analysis. Having finished the game, I wasn't that invested in this story so I didn't even consider it. Of course I liked Sebastian's and Natty's questline.
I platinum the game and when it comes to Harry potter world yeah its an amazing game because it expanded the lore. But as a game it came up short and i think ots because they studio limited themselves by not taking the game to higher levels. But being the first in what i think its going to be a trilogy the game its pretty strong.
being the master of death with the three deathly hallows forever with all 3 of them as they are is always the best. at least for pc you can mod the game with unreal engine itself, along with mod files to get them and so on.
The question is, which founder(s) had the ancient magic. Ravenclaw? That one guy who had the statue in the movies and games? (I forgot that guy's name, if he had one) Was it all of them?
My headcannon is that Sebastian is the virtual Morgan in Hogwarts Legacy and you can’t change my mind on that. He just looks like the perfect adaptation of you plus has a lot of knowledge about Hogwarts just like you.
1:56 These 2 characters may have both gone down dark paths but one key difference between Isidora & Voldemort was that the former DID care about her family & others but just went about that care in the wrong way. In this sense, I actually feel that Isidora is meant to be more of a parallel to Sebastian who also wishes to take pain away from his sister Anne & takes it too far - just like Isidora did.
Hey man, there’s not really any full Wizarding World universe full timeline out there that’s any good. I was gonna say bro, you’re my favorite Harry Potter TH-camr and I feel like a full breakdown of the timeline with Hogwarts Legacy, the main movies, and the fantastic beasts movies. along with whatever other canon there is. Just an idea. Love the videos bro!
I still hope they make a Year 6 sequel for the game. They can build on top of the current game, like a full story DLC, and just expand on it so you won't have to download a separate game.
5th year... EVERY time I heard it I rolled my eyes. I was fine with the protagonist being a 5th (not really, but) year, but now we have a bunch of characters that come to Hogwarts as not trained wizard/witches.
Haven't played the game yet - but professor figs wand looks like the same design Dumbledore's first wand in the fantastic beasts films- but a different colour
As a game its fine but as an adaption its pretty fire.. I would've liked some more interesting player choices worthy of an RPG but its a solid entrance to the series if they plan on expanding on it and improving the areas that were lackluster in the future.
“Your blood is on Ranrok’s hands.” The Protagonist said calmly.

@@RabiyaRavenclawexcluding my mass murder character that I named Tom riddle jr.
I had the intention of asking if you would ever come back to talk about the game and its story but I thought to myself if you had an interest in it, it would eventually come. And guess what, what a surprise. I love how even if you are not much into games you still care for this one.
Wait, already one year? I HAVENT EVEN FINISHED!
Man this is a year old I feel old now and time were had it gone
I wonder if professor figg is related to Ms. Figg from Harry's era. The kneazle breeder and squib.
If my books (published and future ones) will be adapted to something, I hope any adaptation will be as good as this game (from what I see, it looks good).
4:04 I thought the g in the word animagus is like the legend j (even though I prefer the word as you said it here).
Great video as alwayss
Thank you!!! Finally sone love for Hogwarts and to defend the game mechanics of it it was nothing groundbreaking but well done especially considering this studio's last game... was Cars 3( no I'm not joking) they were mostly responsible for the Disney infinity games before that
Whats funny is that I legit bought the game like an hour before this videos release lol

I'll come back to watch this after I play the story. I've only helped my daughter a little bit so I don't really know the story yet.
I just started playing unfortunately being unable to play for a whole year, I finally got to experience it and so far Sabastians storyline is so good I've spedran other missions just to continue his story
wow I have only got it this year in january
Wish we learned more about the acient magic. And what it can do instead of doing random trials that dont teach us anything abiut it.
another great video morgan, your videos are so awesome.
Your work is awesome keep it up ✌✌
You should do “life of” videos for the characters from the game

thanks for doing this mr flame. if you still have gameplay footage, i think the fans would love to see how you react to certain shit real time. Salute 🫡
How to do the 1st trial chamber im so stuck i watched tutorials and still cant figure it out
Sir, i have a question. Can u create fan fiction on youtube and be verified without getting copyright issues?.
Am interested in this subject.
Please reply me
Would’ve loved to have seen more parts to your series of you playing this game. Rip
Great Vids!! 👍
I didn't even realise. Damn, this has opened my eyes. Honestly. Thank you for the video. I honestly thought sharp and professor Snape were the same.
They are really not the same.
This game needs a modded quest creation system. I wish I could make my own quest lines
being the master of death with the three deathly hallows forever with all 3 of them as they are is always the best. at least for pc you can mod the game with unreal engine itself, along with mod files to get them and so on.
Right on!
While the castle is a pretty good relfection of the books, the major divergence was moving the Owlery to the grounds.
Loved this game, it’s a shame you can’t really do much after the story ends
Hey man, there’s not really any full Wizarding World universe full timeline out there that’s any good. I was gonna say bro, you’re my favorite Harry Potter TH-camr and I feel like a full breakdown of the timeline with Hogwarts Legacy, the main movies, and the fantastic beasts movies. along with whatever other canon there is. Just an idea. Love the videos bro!
The only thing bad about this game is that when you enter any new area it takes like a minute and a half to load sometimes
Not on Xbox Series , PS5 or PC
I really cried when I played some parts
I still hope they make a Year 6 sequel for the game. They can build on top of the current game, like a full story DLC, and just expand on it so you won't have to download a separate game.
5th year... EVERY time I heard it I rolled my eyes. I was fine with the protagonist being a 5th (not really, but) year, but now we have a bunch of characters that come to Hogwarts as not trained wizard/witches.
Please make a video on the new avatar series
Haven't played the game yet - but professor figs wand looks like the same design Dumbledore's first wand in the fantastic beasts films- but a different colour
As a game its fine but as an adaption its pretty fire.. I would've liked some more interesting player choices worthy of an RPG but its a solid entrance to the series if they plan on expanding on it and improving the areas that were lackluster in the future.
I have put over 400 hours into this game. It breaths life into the franchise, and I feel like I’ve been slumming it as a fan until I played this game.
