Be aware of delivering things like TVs if you don't want returns. Especially if it's your last delivery and you want to go home afterwards. Every TV I have delivered during the daytime went back to Walmart because there was no one there to receive it. I text people before the delivery but it's rare that they reply. Also be aware of people asking you to take stuff into their house. DO NOT do it. Walmart have vans with staff that have bodycams for in-house deliveries. People are just being cheap because that is an extra charge. If you go in a house and something goes missing, they could say you stole it. Or worse, attack you or say you attacked them. I get the same customers asking me every time to bring the stuff in and put it in their fridge, etc. No way. Let them complain. Also, be careful delivering to hotel rooms. You never know who's on the other side of the door. Leave it in reception and say the hotel wouldn't allow you to go in because you are not a guest. Most hotels have a droppoff area nowadays. If the delivery is up some unlit alley at night or something, don't do it. Text the customer and tell them that it's not safe and to come out. If they don't, you can take it back to Walmart and say it was unsafe and you'll be OK.
TVs, really?? Wow. The biggest items so far I have delivered for Sparks are tables, exercise equipment and patio umbrellas. TVs should only be delivered by their own Sparks vans, not us. 😧

There is a very sketchy extended stay hotel in my region & I’ve had a couple deliveries there & was very uncomfortable!
Now I just avoid that address altogether!
A.) Not all stores have the van service. You are really generalizing the worst case scenario, You can TL;DR this to "Don't be stupid.", if you don't feel right, don't do it. I'm not gonna cry because some old couple asked me to bring their stuff to their table or counter, heck even sometimes people who ask that even flip an extra cash tip. B.) I have a Dashcam on the hood of my car, if I'm delivering a non-scheduled drop (Those are your TVs...), I'm parking with the camera to where I'm dropping it off and leaving it in a safe space. That's what the pictures are for also, I'm not going back to the store because someone simply didn't want to answer the door.
They don't have to be there to receive the order. Your store not gonna like you for returning every damn TV.

What I dislike about spark is they allow customers to take back their tips. Who does that. I took an order a large one that required me to go in and shop. Got everything and delivered 15 minutes early. 24 hours later I seen my "good" tip was redacted.
Eventhough it hasn't happened to me yet, they really need to do something about that.
So true. New to spark and got an order about 2 weeks ago because the tip was $100. Ends up the customer removed the tip within 24 hrs! I was sooo pissed! Turns out customers do this! Be careful with taking orders that say expected tip, it may turn out that they don’t tip you at all.
Walmart doesn’t have to do anything about it , you do !!!
You’re a self proprietor , write down the address on an index card and share amongst the drivers at “said “ store , no one take that order.
Trust me ,
they will tip adequately , and NOT take back the tips.
That’s what most do in my area.
Address not name.
They can change their name but not the address unless they want their groceries going to a neighbor.
if you're an Android user, instead of circles at bottom right, you'll look for the bars on top left to see your zone. I find that being helpful to customers also helps with getting tips.

How’s it going?
I don’t know if this is with everyone or just at my Walmart location, but if it is an express or asap order - when I check in that I’ve arrived and what spot I am in after it says the order is ready, it won’t show up on their devices that I am there. We have to call and let them know.
🤔 Twice today I was checked in and they didn’t know I was there. I wonder if this might’ve been why.
@@preciouscargo4u2 Yeah I don’t know. I’ve had other people who use spark tell me that. I had waited 20 minutes for my order to be brought out and several non-Spark customers arrive, get their order, and leave while I was still waiting. I asked a dispenser about my order and they looked on their device and it didn’t show me as checked in. Really frustrating! Especially when we are paid per order (whether it’s spark, doordash, ubereats, etc.)

Also - Drivers - do not accept large orders. Unless you are confident in completing said orders. in my area (Colorado Springs) is super spread out and 33 miles looks great on paper. However, to complete the trip 12 orders within the trip it took roughly 2.5 hours for a 46-dollar trip. Looks great, sounds great but i promise you not great. The Walmart for which the order was at was short staffed and took about 40 mins to even start the trip. Then you cannot start trip until you scan all the orders into the app. If you know the area well enough, you cannot rearrange the orders to make it more efficient you are stuck with how the order was dispatched to you.
Keep in mind, Shop and Deliver orders on Spark usually have higher base pay. I’ve seen up to $45 base pay before due to the high item count.
Lol you're shopping for good 2 hours. On that. Pulling 2 carts around the whole damn store. Lol you newbs are stupid.
20-30 items is sweet spot. Any more items and you get diminishing return on your time.
Yeah did one today. Base pay was 53.00. 50.00 tip. Insane 172 units.
@@kiki8908k I've never seen a $50 tip on a walmart order. Customers don't know if you shopped for the order or are just delivering it. Many x-large orders have $15-$20 tips. $15 is default recommended.

Are you trying to sound like a news reporter or do you normally talk like that?
Did you know that for Spark, once you check in , if you waited at least 15 minutes and decide to cancel. You will receive $3.50 fee. And it will not impact your cancellation rate. And more than likely you will receive the same order.
During a shop and deliver, if multiple items look the same, you can match the last 3 upc numbers with the numbers on the shelf label.

I'm trying to work through the app for Spark, but I'm unable to get through the sign up. It keeps telling me my password is incorrect and I've tried numerous passwords, and keeping track of them. I'm so frustrated. HELP.

What do you do when you signing up and it says your information is incorrect buttt you can see it is. How do you move forward so you can get approved
How do you do the shop and deliver orders with spark ? I just got accepted today. Do they send you a card? I haven’t received anything. So how would I pay for those ?
You don't need a card. You will scan a QR code at checkout. I made a video on how to do a Shop and Deliver step-by-step.
Why do orders pop up for one second and then disappear? Is it just a free for all or does spark also send you orders to you also?
Do you think you could reliably make $100 a day with spark?
My Walmart I usually spark for, always hands me the bag of eggs. I put them in the front seat.

Fun fact as well. To keep your acceptance rate high - you can call support to have the support team block any particular Walmart's you do not want to see orders from. Once you've done that you won't see any offers from that location. Downside to that is - if you are in the area the process (at this time) cannot be reverted. Please make sure you really want the location to be removed before removing.
Just know it has to be approved, I have been waiting for a particular store to be blocked and it has yet to happen . I called and told them it was a 1hr from my location the representative stated if approved i won’t see that store if it’s not approved I’ll still see the store 🙄🙄an guess what I still see the store and still get several orders for this Walmart which is disappointing…..
@@novemberwinter156 Sadly, you have to keep calling to make it happen. No one has customer service anymore so as the person in need you'll have to force the issue.
That doesn't work..I had to call over 6 times and it's STILL not removed 1 year later

I only do shop and deliver offers now. It tends to be higher pay. You also have control of the variables such as shopping speed, not having to trust whatever was put in your car was bagged right/put in your vehicle right. I've had too many instances of doing curbside pickups and waiting an hour.
The good thing with the shopping offers are that it's only 1 order...whereas curbside is usually a batch order of 3 deliveries.

Bri, I just started Spark 3 days ago and I wanted to know does acceptance rate matter? I know you can get deactivated for too many cancels but can I get deactivated for to low of an acceptance rate?? Thanks for the info.

I just take a picture of the house or porch..so it shows that i was there even if they already got their groceries

What to do if you get deactivated
I got deactivated for no reason but someone recommended me to Alamy_Techz who was able to get my account reactivated

How long is extra waiting time to get extra effort? I mean is it over 30 minutes? What is the normal waiting time? Also, do you have to call support to get it or is it automatically given?? Thanks!!❤
Put a timer on and once it goes over 30 minutes you can cancel in the App for excesive time and they will pay you a fee but not the whole trip amount and tip. Better than nothing. You used to have to call it in but there's no need any more. One WM I go to is terrible. I cancel there at least once a day because the staff can't keep up with the orders. Not their fault, people don't want to do the job so the staff changes every week.
I left a comment here explaining this issue.
You get $2.50. For showing up. They stopped with "extra effort" pay. If order takes longer than 30 minutes, cancel and move on.
@@johndingle6293 if I am only getting $2.50 to cancel and I am already 30 minutes deep, might as well stay (and growl, lol) to receive the order and full pay. Ugly either way.
@@preciouscargo4u2 if the order is "not ready". Chance are that you may still receive it. Otherwise there's a chance that they are 2 hours behind, gave it to a wrong driver, duplicate order, etc. This app is buggy. Very buggy. I don't go a week without having to call support for an issue with app or delivery.
Twice today I was not on their radar. So frustrating.
Have you accepted a 2 person delivery and when you go back it is only 1 order and the amount of course changes.
It's a bug, it's because one of the two orders were cancelled and the store is unable to remove them from the offer when it was given to be sent out through the spark app.

Yes, and it was an express delivery as well + my TOD - time to deliver changed too.
I waited an hour for a grocery pickup and never got extra pay :(

Yes - Call Support and they will credit additional wait times. Already happened to me.
Saw this in the comments... check the address! Then check it again.. I know with the integration with Google maps it always seems to be off by one number. Map will lead you to the house next door not the one you need.

Over 5,000 deliveries for Walmart...and I was deactivated after 3 years veteran delivery driver for Walmart ...2 years Roadie 1 year SPARK and without any details or reason to understand why ? Form letter that I either harassed or offended a customer or an associate and that was that ...I've always been known to be the most respectful
The DDI management company Walmart has working their affairs for SPARK drivers are inept and horrid absent on some vacay somewhere and ostriches with their heads in the sand without conscience... !
They are absent entirely from all contact.. Walmart's blind eye to take DDI to the mat makes them responsible... The voicemail prompts leave you with no possibility to leave a voicemail since their voicemail boxes are full . They will never respond and should be held accountable.. SPARK takes the 5th and defers the issues to DDI.. Walmart is inept and hands off. Disgusting

Hello Bri, I've been watching your videos or ride along's whichever one wants to call it and I tried filling out the application and even got a link for the digital wallet but then everything disappeared and I can't find anyone to help me out. I have tried getting ahold of someone in customer service at Spark, no luck then I tried calling Walmart no luck there either. I don't guess you might be able to help get ahold of someone, could you? It won't even let me sign into my account now?

We tried it for the first time today and e we’re given 3 offers that e we did not think made good financial sense for But after we rejected it, the same offer came back 4 times. Does our avveptance rate count that as 12 rejections?
Hi I only have one Walmart in my city where I live. But there is another Walmart will actually to Walmarts and another city not far up the street about maybe 23 24 miles do you consider doing that type of travel to do spark?
Zone is everything! My zone only has one. Next zone has two but they're about 15 miles apart!

All orders are good but shop & deliver orders are really good if you want to make a lot of money , it goes based off your time so if you can and are looking for a lil bit of exercise start accepting shop & deliver !
They never gave me extra effort for long waits and I mean 30+ minutes

Yes but they say they aren’t supposed to help with the delivery (but some people still have their partner help) so it’s all up to you lol I’ve seen videos where some moms even take their kids with them 😂

I had same issues which I contacted support and nothing was done about it but I was told by a friend to reach out to Spark_Techz which I did and he helped me in fixing mine and it's working perfectly fine

I got a link for branch after I did a few deliveries. The link appeared in a text message on a Wednesday after payday. Also it's 2% of earnings to transfer to your own card or bank

These are good basic tips for new spark drivers.
I’ve only done around 250 spark orders so far & within that little time, I have experienced more problems with spark than smooth deliveries.
I would have added that if you wait 30 min & an order is not loaded, you can cancel without affecting your metrics but the compensation for driving to the store & waiting 30min is a measly $2.50cents!
At RARE times if you protest & file reports in the app & call & haggle with driver support you MAY get a whopping $11 for extra effort!
If you spend hours & days remembering to haggle over it by calls & multiple emails!
And the problem is that excessive wait times for the majority of time is OVER 30 min!
So it is the norm to wait extremely long times to get an order loaded.
Lately in an 8 hour time frame I am only avg 3-4 completed deliveries due to excessive wait times!
So those nice looking $20-25 dollar offers are really coming down to around $8-$12 bucks per hour then you have to deduct your gas & wear on your vehicle!
After all that you’re not making even min wage!
Also when you mentioned the loading issues about eggs chips(and bread) being smashed by the loaders~there is another terrible issues concerning this topic which is~MANY spark drivers are doing the Walmart loaders job for them!
I even had to report a loader once who threw a literal FIT out loud & involved others associates & drivers… because I told him I do not load my orders!
It’s happens frequently where the loaders park the order at my car & try to just walk away assuming I will load the order into my car! So I sit & wait wasting more time until they see the order is still right where they parked it!
I blame the spark drivers for this issue bc you are teaching the loaders that all they are paid to do is be cart pushers & not “loaders”!
*Tip: I provide a small basket in my backseat & in my rear area of my suv labeled “EGGS CHIPS BREAD” but still it’s hit & miss as to whether the loaders separate the fragile items or not. (And I have NEVER once seen a “fragile” label on anything!)
Tip: I also provide an insulated bag labeled “FROZEN” for such as ice cream…but the loaders almost never use it!
*Many loaders are also just too damn lazy to even hand me a label to scan unless I directly ask for it.
But all of those are bad habits which other spark drivers have taught loaders~please stop doing the loaders job for them if that’s any of you.
I hate to only gripe about problems & not offer solutions so here are my ideas of how to resolve some of the loading issues:
*pay the loaders & the pickers per order picked or loaded, just like the spark drivers are paid per order, instead of hourly & watch how FAST those damn orders get shopped & placed nicely in the drivers cars!
*place metics/penalties upon the loaders and pickers for any damaged items reported by drivers.
*set up an app system for the loaders like spark where they can’t move on to the next order until all loading steps are completed such as giving the driver a label to scan…
The point is that the EXCESSIVE WAIT TIMES are due to the fact that pickers & loaders are paid by the HOUR & not by the orders completed!
So think about it; they get paid MORE MONEY the longer it takes or regardless how many orders they complete!
It’s all counterproductive!
But no one is asking me how to solve these problems so….good luck out there!
You get the offer at 15 after the hour ...they make you wait until 40 after the hour to slide you've arrived for curbside ...then the waiting game for the associates to dispense then load then scan then GPS then go
So basically
Walmart holds us hostage
After 3 years delivering for Walmart first Roadie then SPARK this past year I somehow have just several weeks ago discovered that I was deactivated..and there is no recourse no discussion no person to answer DDI voicemail or reply from my countless emails
Seriously there was no explanation
5000 deliveries and simply
' your account is deactivated'
More criticisms...
The map is unclear when making offers so you really can't tell where they intend to send you...I mean with Roadie you could get fine details of the route before bidding making offer but with SPARK not possible..and then when or if you decline the offer they try to manipulate you to accepting and you choose to decline ..you are punished mercilessly by their lowering your metrics 2 percent
The instore shopping is difficult when the wifi is not strong and often times the screen simply changes on you enroute to a particular isle product etc and you have to refresh or come back at the end ...and often times the stores don't have the correct UPC or the item is stashed somewhere else in the isle
The customer support of course is simply ridiculous like most of these apps ...whereas we call ..gp through many prompts and then wait time and when connected to support they treat you as you are some guest checking into a 5 star hotel with all their niceties script you're forced to have to endure ( taking up so so much precious time ) and then they make you give them your phone number name and email address with yet more niceties
They cannot help you really unless you need permission to return an order ...and then they escalate which results in yet more typical unhelpful email support
The entire system is flawed and one would think Walmart would have the funds to actually fix it

The worst is that the associates hate SPARK as well
But if you ever wanted to get in touch with DDI I would bet you'll find their voicemail boxes are all full..they will send you in circles with prompts and extensions and no one will ever answer..and your emails will never be responded to

One tip i will give out , turn the page the money that is offered most all the time isnt what u get like yesterday the offer was for 18.00 dollars ,when i fliped it over the amount changed to 13.00 dollars sounds likeca good example of( tip baiting) yes i did take a pic of this, yes spark does this alot .why dont u tell them how much they the driver get compensated ? 2.50 not worth the time and effort. Yes u have to do ur homework i sometimes take batch orders just to get the money i need for that day the batch orders take about 2 to 3 hours keep this is mind if ur doing this late u will know it will be dark soon .all sams club orders r usualy water or pop heavey stuff good this to remember when taking this .had one yesterday , went to the place and they told me someone already took that order ur the 3rd people who try to pick this up thats always nice right? If u see a mistake in the offer best bet is to reassighned it the support will not help u there useless there from another country trying to speak english and cant and what can they do from there country for u ? Is soark that cheep they cant have americans do this with at least one in each of the states ? And yes make sure u can add they spark will try to stab u in the back on the offers a.u think they be higher because of the Christmas season but, they r not .that is sad .they all want drones to help them not drivers as they and other apps invested in this this isxmore than likley the reason why they pay is so low the payout is realy 4.50 per order they r to embarrased with this low offer so they put another order on it totaling up to 9 dollars and sowing the tip on to it 10 dollars making it 19 dollars .when the sow the tip on to this order they now r making u pay taxes for this rather than getting this under the table money thatcmeans u dint have to pay taxes with under the table money .places like McDonald's and bk there pay is so low that rhe employees caught on if u cant make a living why evan bother working there ? Its true they wounder why they cant get any help .this is why they all want machines to run there business. I say let them they will soon becbagging us to come back we will but. For a living wage and i don't mean 8 dollars
I agree fully and im upset. I just started driving for spark 3 days ago. My 1st day i took 5 trips totalling 116 dollars. Or so i thought.... 2 days later i go onto my earnings and it says 49. Seriously??? I spent a day driving and lifting groceries for 49 dollars?? After 20 for my babysitter and 15 in gas .. i guess i just owed walmart a days work?? At least w door dash i get what they tell me when i accept the order. Ive had walmart deliver to me several times. I added 10 for a tip. After i paid , it didnt say to me ... hey within 24 hours come back on here and confirm u really want to tip your driver this 10 , or they wont get it. What kind of backwards dumb crap is that?? I made 49 instead of 116 bcuz my customers didnt go back in to say yes tip my driver like i asked to do earlier when i ordered and tipped? This is decietful. I was dooped. Im pissed.
